Yeah for touchwiz that agat 1.4.2f is the most recent one to date? Is there a dev that would be willing or can bring our stock gb27 kernel to 3.0.94 like blasphemy or lightning kernel? That would be bad ass.

You'll have to ask the kernel devs (Zxo0oxz & thomas.raines) if they're willing to put time into building those kernels for Touchwiz.

All ROMs are in Development. The title tells you what firmware they are. All of Epic ROMs are great. Pick one.

His phone will keep telling him to update until he actually runs the update, or at least tries to (it obviously wont work if you are running a custom ROM). Just because his phone is telling him to update, doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I'm going to go ahead and agree with everyone else on here and say CM9 is amazing. The only reason I haven't gotten the EL30 modem and flashed CM9 (I have tried it and its awesome) is because i use the hotspot hack on my other ROM and 4g wifi tethering doesn't work on CM9 yet. Most people don't care about that issue so I'd definitely say forget looking for a EL30 ROM and go straight for CM9.
There are not many roms based on el30 yet, and to be honest, its not that great of an update. Cm9 is now available, but still had some bugs to get worked out. For now I would strongly advise starskyrom mtd v2.0, or marcusant v3. Its all about personal taste, and roms perform differently for every device.

Over clock kernel for ICS

We got one yet? Can't find it if there is one.....
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
No. Not yet. We are still working on finalizing the ics rom. I believe we will see some oc kernel after the formal ics release.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Cool...thanx.....my e4gt is about to not have service.....I have to switch to either T-Mobile or Verizon....t has a galaxy s2....and Verizon has the nexus.....I am leaning forwards the gs2 on t mobile ......seems they have some good devs on there....ICS is bad ass but the nexus is just a downgrade it seems
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yeah we need the source for a custom kernel, which won't be published until the update goes official.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
okay its been a year. any news on oc kernels for ics. or any plan for ones on jb if we get source?
agats 0.6.0 from source

Was on blue kuban earlier....good battery life when I installed the agar source kernel. I am on aokp now and battery life also seems better....been on the phone a lot setting up things and playing with themes and still have decent battery. Screen brightness also seems A LOT brighter than before and I can keep mine set very low with great visibility.

CM9 doesn't have a source built kernel yet but they are working on it. I imagine it would be a little better though as it sounds like they are removing all the blobs of code that arnt necessary.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Quick question. I'm on Calkulin v 3.0 right and want to flash AOKP. Do I just boot into recovery and flash it or do I go back to stock el29 and flash in cwm? Sorry I'm new to this

You're suppose to flash a modem separately. Roms don't bring a modem with them.
