hello everyone, do you think what's the best kernel to use on this rom?
I do not care about battery life, I just want performance!
PS: i have a 3800mah
There isnt universal kernel. Everyone has own favourites. I like franco and fancy, you should try them and see how they run on your phone

Hey Guys!
Okay, like the title questions - Which is the best kernel out there?
Please specify in terms of battery life / performance / speed etc.
I've used franco and Popcorn till now, both are great but I must admit that the battery life on the franco kernel is better whereas the screen looks better on popcorn due to that different colour management thing the Dev uses.
Well , There is not clear answer on what the best kernel is for everyone , actually the most populer kernel in xda develepers are Franco kernel and james bond kernel , I go back to stock rom and I've been using stock rom and it's 4.0.2 , that's why and Franco kernel doesn't support 4.0.2 , I choose james bond kernel and I'm happy with it

i`ve tested all available kernels in the last days and have to say morfic`s latest trinity test kernel called aelp works best for me. good battery life on standby, in use and smooth in every situation.
Franco for me. Your milage is going to vary. Try them all until you find the one that works best for your phone.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
As the title says. I want a good battery life and it should be smooth. I am not looking to play any games or anything.
There is another thread similar to this. Pls learn to search first before posting another one.

I've particularly liked AOKP and franco kernel but that's me, it smacks stock in battery life, performance and customisability. However it might not be the best in each of those.
I am back to CM9, trying out the official Weekly's, just had too many issues on the various CM10 ROM's to use as a daily for now. I appreciate all the tough work the dev's are doing on CM10 for the One X right now, and with their blood and sweat it will surely be bad ass, and perfect in time, but I need stability and battery life first, so CM9 it is for now. I know a Sense based ROM would give the best battery and stability, but YUCK, can't stand the look and feel Sense or any UI besides good ol vanilla Android
Which kernel would you recommend best for battery life on stock CM9 ? And what setting ? OnDemand or Interactive ?
Or is the stock kernel from the 0923 Weekly the best ?
Thank you

I got the same question but can't find help from anywhere... i am on cm9.1 nozomi, and i got problems with battery draining faster than stock ICS even when on standby... so I've search if different kernels could improve my battery life. i really hope someone could help...
Hi guys, I've recently been playing around with my phone and I have been wondering
What your favorite kernels are. Right now I've been using the kt747 and I really like it. However I haven't really
Seen any other popular kernels for my att Samsung gs3. Btw I'm running cm10 witch is truly amazing.
KT747 is my kernel of choice. Battery life is spectacular, especially for on screen time. Tasks Underwear kernel is packaged with his AOKP ROM and it is stellar as well. Lean kernel is supposed to be a minimalistic kernel and therefore apt for battery life.
Your best bet is to flash a few, give them a few days to settle and see what works best for your needs.
Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good kernel to use along with MIUI 4.1 JB. I play some games from time to time (even the most graphics demanding ones) but I'm not a heavy gamer. What I'm looking for is better performance and a bit better battery life. Thanks.

stick with the default kernel for now..no kernel source means no custom kernels...you can try Trip's kernel but to be honest i would wait once source gets released before you try custom kernels
Thanks Goku80, I'll follow your advice and stick to the default for now.
