Another ROM, suggestions please.

Im running Jellybomb and while its a good ROM, Im not too particular with the theme and some notifications are hard to read. What ROM are you guys running besides Jellybomb and is everything working on that current build. Its hard to read through the development posts because some of the problems are user error most of the time when problems do occur. Also, what are the best US versions because at times I am having trouble with syncing.

Im curious if any of the roms for this Gnote2 still support the stylus and the multi-app thing?

I too would love a non themed version of that rom. I hate blue and the theming is too micky mouse for my taste.

Agreed. While I am using it now I wish it wasn't SO blue. But the rom itself is great. Was thinking of maybe trying cleanrom. Anyone try it?

Kinda of my same feeling. Made the phone look flat. Not my cup of tea and you can easily see the genre it is for by just reading a few posts in that thread.
I am running the project ROM ultra light or close to that. Before flashing I did modify several things removed several apks that were just bloat.
Thinking about doing my own thing though as nothing really fits what I want and I am sure it would help the community.

I am using note card 2.2 it has only one bug I have seen is it sometimes boots to a black screen. Being fixed in the next release. Why not is a good ROM also but development is a tad to slow for the flashaholic in me.

I was getting ready to post that. I am running Why Not right now and no issues that I can see. Maybe stick with this until Viper comes out with his as mentioned above or when digiblur makes a ROM and decides to be nice and share with us!! LOL.

I am hoping with the news that the kitchen will work with our device I will be able to make my own also

They all do.... honestly I have been a rom junkie since the Samsung moment. This is the first phone that I prefer stock on. I use the stock rooted deodexed rom with a few mods and the perseas (sp) kernel. I still flash every new rom but so far there has not been anything compelling enough for a daily. No offense to the devs, they do awesome work but Samsung/Google stepped it up on this one. I would make the switch for Paranoid Android though.

I'm hoping we'll see the "Wicked Sensations" rom for the note 2... dazedandconfused developed it for the S2 & S3 and for my money it was the badest animal on the planet for both devices... I tried them all... It has a somewhat blue theme to it as well but not nearly as obnoxious as the Jellybomb rom... The devs from Team Venum are really talented guys...

I agree. A clean version of that rom would be great! It's over themed and I hate all the blue as well but the rom has some great features but the over theming has kept me away. Glad we have cm10 in the works.

This ROM is not a CleanROM. Its a stock rooted and all yours!
CSC Files are the files that tell your phone what kind of phone it is. For example; if you use the AT&T CSC files then this will convert the ROM to the AT&T version (sans the data icons) and allow you to access the AT&T Apps in the Play store. It will also set the APN automatically, etc...
If you want a CSC built from your carrier please post the name of your carrier and if you can the CSC files and build.prop.

I am running this on my AT&T Note 2 and I have no issues.
Any hope to see some Mods for it? 3 way power (no need for hot boot), no increasing ring tone, no nag in notification, and 5x6 launcher

Let me know if you need help. Beyond Compare will make it a lot easier. They ahve a 30 Day trial if you have never used it before. I use it daily and had no issues forking out the cash for the paid program.
Especially when hopping from old base to new base you can easily see the low level changes.
But yeah, you know what needs to be done! Make it happen my friend!
Oh and I talked wiht th MWC Apop guy and sent him the framework files he needs and he said he would add it to his collection so we can also get MWC!

Lol. Just letting you all know I reflashed this without the att csc. I didnt like using photo artist to edit gallery. I like using the s3 editor instead and the rom without csc picks it up in the menu button in gallery.

Scott. Do all the dl stock roms have only the green battery color. I thought when I was unrooted it turned yellow then red. On tbus rom ir stays green. Is it just how the 7150 build is or is something broken?

No, I think that different variations will have different battery colors.
I looked at the SysUI and noted that too!

What ROM are you trying on?

This looks good, if it does get ported over, than I would stick to a stock based ROM for the HDMI out. That's what I've always wanted. Hopefully it would get rid of that annoying bubble noise with EVERY touch... Hate that noise...

you can disable that sound in settings/sound lol
check my sig for a AOSP style rom (by me, very stable, very fast), once I get permission from the dev I will port that theme over completely and set up a donate link to for him in the credits of my rom

Have to say this is pretty crazy awesome overhault. Its what I spent hours playing with my pull down window trying to recreate. Is it possible to get the clear button moved to top right without 4.1.2 ? I am very new to this but that is something I was planning on figuring out next. If this theme gets ported that would save me quite a lot of time =0
Would be great to have this working on 23(24) toggle mod as well as 15.

yes, both are rooted. and it is a refined MA5 as far as i can tell.

haha, i work at a fire station in the boonies and all i have here is a measly 5mb/1.5mb dsl line. we used to have 2 but they took our other one.
the odex version is only at 78% and then the deodex version will take about 3hrs. loll

lol....i've been a medic for 8 myself. our department converted from ems only to fire rescue about 6yrs ago and so i went to fire school and have been doing fire/ems since then.

Thanks, its cool to be able to do that kind of work an still be mentally capable to handle technical skills.
My brother in-law is fire. People never realize the whole effects of what you chance and do. You may live in the middle of nowhere, but every day your life is on the line for others.
An just my opinion, you do what you want with a rom. Your posting and "sharing" your work. Your fire/emt, not a developer. This is for fun. Your sharing something you wanted to today. If tomorrow you never touch it again, that's more than most here have ever done.
Sorry to rant, it pissed me off to see someone say crappy things about a rom you posted saying things didnt work...wtf ever, you want it working fix it yourself...
You want to help, pick up a book...read a website, do something except suck the life out of ppl..

Or maybe, I don't know, find something that works and quit being a greedy, selfish, spoiled child. The ROMs are free none of us get paid to do this sh!t, we do it in our free time instead of spending it with family or doing something else we'd like to do. This entitlement mentality is getting retarded, you want it working the YOU spend YOUR time fixing it instead of wasting that time whining like a little ballerina whose tutu is wedged up her ass FFS contribute and be useful instead of spending all your time being a whiny f_ck_ng leech.

As it happens, since you bring it up, I HAVE spent countless hours over the years helping countless people in public tech forums (going back to before the internet) for free in several other venues that just don't happen to be Android. And I never felt the need to tell a user to shut up and like whatever crap I happened to grace him with. Partly because I spent the time to make sure it wasn't crap but hey that's just me the asshole.
Then there are also things I've made, and released for free, that are incomplete in some way, and guess what? I know it's incomplete and all I'd ever say about that is yeah you're right that could be a lot better but I'm just one guy and I'm not really very good in that language and that platform and that's probably about as far as I'm going to manage, sorry. Not "shut up and be grateful!"

back on topic. I flashed all three from MA5. No issues. Wiped divack, cache and system. It keep all my apps and settings. It did add all the crap I didn't like though.
Perseus Alpha 34 (jan 31) works fine thus far. I was able to use MA5 4-1 power menu and mutliwindow app mods. They appear to be working. I was able to use the multipwindow and reboot into recovery.
I'm not saying it's all working. Nothing has come up yet within the couple hours I have had it loaded.

Hi guys, I'm new here and have a question. I am on a Sprint note 2 with stock MA7 odedex and i would like to start flashing roms mainly Jellybomb from Josh Beach. Can I just flash the stock deodexed rom over my stock odexed rom? Is their a better/easier method to change my rom from odexed to deodexed? Also if I can flash over my rom do I need to flash the rom, modem, and the kernel or just the all in one?
And last of allcan some one post instructions on how to do this?

P.S. I am rooted with trwp recovery.

Thanks budde2, I wiped dalvuck cache and cache, then installed the all in one, rebooted, wiped everything again then installed MA7 de-odexed rom, rebooted and everything works great, the all in one updated my kernal.

[ROM]MoonROM | Full Tablet UI | Aroma

This is NOT my ROM. This is a modded version of MoonROM by @grilled and her original thread is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2321105
I noticed it semi working on ATT/Tmobile roms but people had alot of force closes, DPI problems, flashing different zips to get it working, etc. So i took all the zips and basically picked all the working stuff out of each one and tested hours on end trying to get this awesome rom stable. Now i present it to you guys

This rom has so many features it can be overwhelming
*Dont forget to go to display settings to look at different battery options!
INSTRUCTIONS
Download ROM
Place on SD CARD
Full wipe necessary!
Flash ROM
DOWNLOAD
MoonROM Modded
NOTES
*This is 4.1.2 ROM, so if you flash after you been on 4.3, all of your downloads and stuff from 4.3 rom will be in sdcard/0 folder. LEAVE the folder their if you want to go back to 4.3 at a time, or just merge everything to sdcard folder.
*Choose Saber Kernel and dont change modem or recovery
*Battery styles under Display Settings
*Pick tablet apps in aroma for everything to look normal
*If there are bugs, i will do my best to help you. I have tested alot and have not noticed any bugs as of yet, As i stated earlier, i did not create this rom from source, i just modified it for us.

But nice work man. I know alot of people were waiting on this port a few months ago. I hope they're still here to experience this. However idk if I can drop mean bean..... Nice! This has been one of my favorite Roms. Haven't used it in awhile. Had a backup of it until I accidentally erased my sd card. Now I can have it again. Love tablet mode and the floating windows mod. Almost went back to old paranoid for tablet. Now I don't have to. Thanks again.

This should work with the N7105 Model yes? Anyway, that isn't my main question. My question is if it's possible to Cook this ROM and all its features on top of Android 4.3 TW. Since 4.3 is significantly faster than 4.1.2 TW. I would absolutely love this ROM had it been on 4.3. We used to have a thread on the N7105 section. But the developer stopped support a long long time ago. Please keep your ROM updated. Thanks a lot.

I have been busy with fulltime job and don't so much time porting roms atm, yup just got note 3 and zenarcade help me and gave me instructions how to root it.

Having fun with this ROM. Set it to tab mode 200 dpi, then adjusted the System UI so the notification bar fills the full screen. Then found an Xposed mod to hide the nav bar icons. Now just adjusting the dpi of individual apps so I can read them, lol...

Some tips on that please would be great. Would love to turn off nav icons off. No need for them, we already have the buttons.
PS OP: Would be awesome if you make version two. With SyberKernal updated to the latest, edit Aroma and remove all other Kernels. Would also be good if you have a look at the N7100 section by the way. Because the original developer continued development there for a long while after quitting on us in the N7105 section. Fixed all the issues for them, added new features. It would be better if you can get that and cook it for us. Love this ROM! Thank you for carrying on.
