I'm trying to copy files, to my SD card via USB storage, and as soon as a couple of minutes go by, the transferring just stops. Doesn't matter what I try to copy (music album, game data, ROM, etc.), same result. Also tried different USB ports and same thing happens. Not sure if I make any sense, so I hope these pictures can help.

After (notice the "free space" details disappear and now says FAT32)
If it helps, I'm using a Samsung Epic 4G running CM 10.1 (4.2.2), SanDisk Ultra 16GB microSDHC Class 10.
Tried another cable?

I think I made a fatal error, I was putting some files onto the card, completely forgot I left it in the computer memory card port and then went on to install vista and xp which might have done this i'm not sure.
Any way to reverse what happened.
It was a 1gb now it's 10mb in the properties.

I'm guessing by your response it's impossible to retrieve my data?
If there's no way to retrieve what I had i'll do that and give it away cause I bought a bigger one.
I had exactly your problem, and the only solution i found it a format with GParted.
Under windows my sd way no more readable, while under linux i had strange files as in your screenshot.
After a format now everything works well.
I went from LiquidSmooth to Jelly Beans (a touchwiz-based rom) to LiquidSmooth again. Unfortunately, it looks as though my internal sd card was wiped in the process. However, my internal SD card is suspiciously full of data.

No matter how much digging I do, I can't seem to find why the internal storage is so full despite all the visible folders accounting for hardly any space at all.
These combined folders only make up 781 kb of data.
Are my old files still hiding somewhere in my Galaxy S3?
EDIT:
I found the data! It was hidden in mnt/shell/emulated.
Hopefully this helps someone in the future if they run into this same problem.
Hi there.
I got my note2 together with sandisk 32Gb microsd, and the sdcard got damaged in less than 1 month. I could not access it even after trying to format it with pc and phone. The supplier gave me another brand new replacement sdcard as it could not be fix/recover.
I lost all my data in that sdcard.
Yesterday, it happen again, luckily i'm prepared, always have a backup of my sdcard content on my pc.
Weirdly i can access my sdcard in recovery mode.

Also with aroma file manager.
But i can't format it, and it could not be detected by my phone.
So before i send it again to the supplier and wait 1week+ for a replacement, got any idea how to fix this?
If no, need your advice on this.
Thanks in advance
I got a Oneplus 5t with 64gb of storage with only 500mb left.
I backed it up with an adb command: adb pull sdcard
However, it only showed half of the storage
which is around 32gb in the backup folder and file explorer.
The used capacity shown in the phone is 63.5gb which is almost doubles
I afraid that the backup is not including everything
I wonder whether this is a issue related to difference in counting bytes on windows and android.
Please note this oneplus's bootloader is unlocked but isn't root. I lost all my data after it as my backup didn't work.

Hello, so I followed this guide and put new 64GB MicroSD card into phone, formatted is as internal storage, moved system onto it and unfortunately it doesn't seem to work as intended - free space is still few hundred MBs as it was before and I cannot install some bigger game because it shows there is not enough space :-\
It's MIUI 11.0.2

it shows system storage is 53.49GB, but some OS parts think it's not free. I can connect it to PC and I see there is almost 10GB in DCIM\Camera and this works fine in the gallery app.
