AOSP 2.0.1 for HTC Hero

Great, booting now
First impression:
REALLY fast, can find Twidroid free(not the pro) so not all apps are working(i think)
but it's a lot better then the Sense...

This is great! Flashing this now.

yeah all works, can find a lot of programs(i have 2 apps now that i can't find, taskiller FULL and Twidroid Pro, but free editions of those are available)
HTC_IME.apk won't work gives a FC, looking for a dutch dictionary (A)

are gone, it's a AOSP, that is without HTC stuff!!!
so NON Sense, no htc keyboard, no .............................

Absolutely fantastic. This is the fastest user interface I have ever experienced on any of my phones ever. Including my iphone 3G.
I now have almost everything I need in this ROM and I don't think I will try any other ROM until HTC releases their ROM. I might not even try that. I love vanilla Eclair (with sugar on top).
The only thing that annoys me is that my Exchange calendar still not synchronizes. Wonder why? But I can fix this via the Market. Not for free, though. :/
And, theres the issue with the camera. I guess that will be fixed pretty soon, though.

I have tested a bit, so its really damn fast . Camera not working like said in the topic, the Youtube apps seems non working too. If someone can confirm too.

Edit: About the youtube app, the application laucnh correctly but when i try to play an video the screen is black.

confirm, i hear the sound, but the screen is only black....

Video playback is unusable. Trying to play .mp4's from my sd card with meridian and it lags so badly that it is unusable.
The youtube application works, but I only get a black screen when I start playing a video.

Yes, I can confirm. You could add Meridian player for your videos.
Great work BTW dev. I like the cleaness and simplicity of this ROM, its also quite quick.
Also voice search is non usable

Is it just me experiencing lag while swiping between homescreens?

ismaskin, I'm experiencing that lag too.
Also, isn't this the Moto Droid one? I like the AOSP 2.0 better, but I guess the sync problems killed that for me. Any way to get the sync to work on 2.0 now that its working on this? Somehow strip from this and attach to that?

it's silky smoothe for me, have you tried a reboot?

Hmm its maybe (like in lox rom) an missing driver for the GPU part of the MSM CPU ?

Do Not Bother xdandroid devs, with fillrate or hw3d being faster on donut than on eclair, plz they are not mages, stuff dont just magically work out of no were
At long last i finally got around releasing it, as i said before this is based on a AOSP Donut Build.Speed and stability should be around the same as my last donut build, also i recently acquired a motorola cliq so i will most likely be developing for that device also, please report any bugs i may have missed,anyways hope you like the rom.
I need feedback from you guys to see what works or dosent, i do not own this device. Working and non working stuff will be populated once people have posted them on comments.

This uses Default Donut Launcher, touchwiz launcher does not work on donut, but hey if you make it work or find a working apk for donut pass it over and i will include it in the rom.

Sadly sometimes ago i found one that was working with froyo (or eclair i don't remember) and was good and fast i can post it if you need or you wish to do some testing

iv tried touchwiz launcher before, it seems it uses frameworks from eclair/froyo, someone might have to modify it and compile it agaist donut api

link fixed, the fix works by providing the proper permission to the su binnary, inside syste/bin

this version so fast but sometime when it locked,i could't press to unlock ??? i pressed all key , the display did't light ??

Go Launcher Icon Effects

Not sure if anyone has the same problem but i can't seem to figuire this one out.
I apologise if this has been talked about before, But have searched extensively without luck.
The problem is that when i go to change the App drawer Icon effect, The option is completely shaded out and I'm not allowed to pick one.
I reinstalled it but that didn't change anything.
Anyone know of this issue and have a solution!

What effect is it currently stuck on?
Did the launcher come with a Custom ROM? or have you installed it yourself on a standard ROM?

Installed it myself but I'm using a custom rom aswell(VillainRom 2.4.2) and it's not just stuck on the default one.
Not sure why Im not able to pick a different one.

Heh - I had this problem myself. It only works with horizontal scrolling

instagram problems

Hi ya'll, I'm having some pretty iritable problems with instagram on my desire z, I can snap pictures allright, but when they are processed they always come out with some green stuff on the picture, anyone know how to fix it?
Thankfull for answers, and I hope someone know how to fix this.
(And I'm sorry if my english isn't 1oo% perfect, not my native language but I do my best woth what I can. Also my first post.)

Are you running a custom ROM? Most (all?) of the ics/jb ROMs have issues with third-party camera apps.

With just bout any ICS rom (except maybe Virtuous Infinity, which is painfully slow right now), any app other than the stock camera app the rom comes with, will usually exhibit problems on the image (corruption etc). This is normally true of any '3rd party' apps on those roms.
The work around would be to snap the image with your main camera app, and then import it into instagram from the gallery.

Hey guys how are you all today? My name is jeff and yes im a newb here lol...i kinda need some help.....i have a rooted S3 running CM 10.1 nightlys, gapps from goo.im and a zip of the 4.2 camera....Now, first off, I would like to say I love CM and i think they do an amazing job....but lately ive been having so many problems. When i boot up i immediately get a force close from Youtube, my camera and gallery crash often, in my app drawer i have 2 cameras and 2 gallerys but when i go to manage apps to disable the stock 4.1 camera so i can only see the 4.2 cam....neither of them show up in app manager. Appolo gets a force close once and a while..my phone freezes up etc...Basically, im just starting to have alot of problems and it is now to the point where i feel like going back to stock rom would ease the headaches...Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a somthing i can do to make this all run smoother? I would just like to have 4.2.2 WITH Photosphere AND all the google apps. Im thinkng that the version of the camera im running is outdated and maybe there is a better one i can flash?? Or is there a ROM out there that is stable that i might like? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you all in advance and have a great day!!

Paranoid Android, when used with the PA gapps, has photosphere and is pretty stable.

It also sounds like you need to do a full wipe and try again. Lots of issues that shouldn't be issues for the latest releases of anything let alone cm10.1

I know right....i havent had this many problems with CM in the past. But i just did a full wipe, both wipes as well as the dalvik and it was after that i began to have the problems? Ill give it another try! Thanks again!
