Home button led function missing after flash to 4.2.2 Digital mind rom
Did you go to the Digital Mind ROM thread to see if this is a known issue? See if others have this problem? Report it to the Dev for him/her to take a look at it see if something is wrong? Check your settings to make sure that everything is setup right? Provide a logcat?

Sorry if this has been asked already, which I'm sure it has. I did a search and couldn't find anything.
I think I knew the answer to this a while ago, but I can't figure it out. I've done a few reboots, but still I can't get the respective Theme I chose to be the pull down widgets/notifications bar.
Also on my old CM7 rom, I had a red theme and it changed my Torch icon, my handcent, and a few other non-default apps. That's not happening now.
Is there something else I'm supposed to do besides a reboot?

It's any of the themes. Even when selecting Cyanbread, everything else goes blue, but the pull down widgets/bar still remains green from the default theme.

try booting into recovery and format "cache partition" boot into phone and change you theme to the one you want. then go settings>applications>manage applications> and force close "status bar" it will refresh the bar.
if it doesnt work then you might have to back up you phone and wipe all and flash the rom over.
This small application allows you to change the brightness of the capacitive buttons (back, home, and recent tasks) on the HTC One X. Root is required in order for this application to work. This application works on any ROM, including CleanROM, ViperXL, Cyanogenmod, AOKP, and MIUI.
Changes in Current Version
Code:
Brightness setting now sticks across reboots
Frequently Asked Questions
Which brightness setting is "stock"?
It depends. On Sense based ROMs (eg. CleanROM, ViperXL) "Bright" seems to be the default. On AOSP-based ROMs (eg. CM10, AOKP) "Dim" seems to be the default. It all depends on how/if the ROM maintainer tweaked the default setting. The "default default" (ie. if you RUU to stock) setting is "bright".

How do I get back to the default setting?
The most reliable way is to disable setting brightness on reboot and then simply reboot. Or, you can just set the brightness setting that is the default.

What happens if I uninstall the app?
Nothing. Well, it doesn't change the brightness setting if that's what you're wondering. After a reboot, though, the brightness setting will revert back to the ROM's default setting.

Known Issues
no visual indication when buttons on the ui are pressed (other than the capacitive button brightness changing)
ui button images are scaled up and look at bit pixelated
awful error message displayed if not rooted; should instead say a message like "you are not rooted... sucka"

Dont forget to say Thanks !!
Thank you for this app!
But I have a problem with my capacitive buttons, impossible to dim them, I tried all the available mods/apps but no luck.. I only can switch them off and when I install this app and touch one of the 3 icons nothing happens..
Please if someone encounter the same problem post here so that we can help each other..
And sorry for my english
Regards
Unfortunately your app doesn't work on my One X running ViperX 2.71.
After I push the buttons in your app, it asks for root, but after that nothing happens.
Button lights don't dim or disable.
The flashable mod on which you built your app does work, so I dimmed the buttons using the mod.
:good: Good luck with the further development of this app! :good:
Dont work on my one x with CM10 101012
But thank you for your work !
Same here...
Doesn't work on ARHD 11.0
v1.0.3 of the app did not support the International One X (endeavoru). I am the original author of the app and just added support for the International One X in v1.0.6. See this new thread, if interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033973. It actually works on your device now
OP: If you read this, could you change the title of this thread so that it doesn't get confused with the official thread? Also, could you edit the OP to link to the real thread right at the top? Thanks for promoting my app, but unfortunately it did not work on this device when you created the thread. I don't want people to see this thread first and give up right away when v1.0.3 doesn't work. Thanks!
I never thought such a simple thing would bug me so much but not having a dedicated menu button on my HTC One is driving me up the wall. I'm running CM10.2, and I know I can convert the home key single or double tab function into a menu button but I would prefer the logo to be my menu key as I haven't been able to train myself to accept the home key mods.
That being said all of the kernels I look at say they will work on sense roms or google play edition roms. I can't seem to find anything that specifically says it will work with Cyanogenmod. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
I believe the AOSP edition of Lunar kernel will work, at least there was a comment of someone using it. Make a nandroid and give it a shot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2594677

Thanks, I gave that a shot and it froze my phone within 10 minutes of use. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
Elite Lunar AOSP is for kitkat not jellybean. We do not have a kernel for that version of AOSP...but there might be one floating around the international forum.
Are you talking about the 3 dots menu icon? If so I had this issue for a while too. If I remember correctly you can change it in settings. I think it's in Settings >Hardware. I'm no longer using CM so i'm not 100% sure.
If you're talking about something else, I apologize.
Think he is talking about the menu button that's just above the HTC logo.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
There's no menu button
Sent from my Sonic Screwdriver running Viper One 5.5.0
Some kernels map the htc logo to act as a menu button.

Yeah the have the option. Any of the AOSP kernels should work on CM.
Just so you know the HTC logo as menu is very close to the edge of the screen. When I tried to hit the space bar many times I would get a menu button press.
Hello guys!
New to (posting in) the forum so unfortunately I cant post this in the developers topic
But I'm hoping someone could help answer a few questions for me
I finally got around to rooting/unlocking/rom-ing my Koodo T989D
Decided to give Hellkat a try as my first custom rom, and so far it is a huge improvement over JB
So many little annoyances now solved
However with that there are a few things that have cropped up that I'd like to change if possible
First is probably the most important thing,
having used stock Samsung android for the last few years, I grew very accustomed to being able to swipe left and right over contacts in order to text/call them, probably my favourite feature really
I understand that samsungs dialer/contact app are very intergrated into touchwiz but thought I'd ask if anyone knew a dialer that works well and has this feature that I could try out?
Second is the camera, I know recently that stock google camera apps have gone to a very 'clean' interface
however when I am trying to take a picture randomly, I find it far easier to change useful settings if they are shown constantly overlayed over the image (as opposed to pop-ups)
one thing I was impressed with by samsung was their camera apps customizable settings buttons (allowing choice in where and what to display)
Can someone recommend a camera app that has settings overlays or better yet that allow customizable settings buttons?
Third is more specific to the HellKat rom I think..
I've noticed when texting that if I go back to change a word (spelling check) it comes up with a pop-up with a few suggestions and also the option to add to dictionary
However suggestions also pop up in the suggestion bar above the keyboard
I would prefer to only have the suggestion bar, and to not have the pop-up at all
I have tried turning off the 'Spell checker' option in input settings but then neither show up
Is there a way to turn off the pop-up? or will installing google keyboard get rid of it?
Fourth is that I found when typing a recipient number into a new text, in 'Hellkat dark theme' the font is black on black so that you are unable to see the numbers you are typing
not a huge issue but maybe someone can let the developer know
Fifth is just that I am wondering if there is a 'lockscreen widget' (like the one for the camera) that is a dialer screen to place a call from the lockscreen
Thanks to whoever responds and I understand if you are not able to answer some of these, any help is graciously accepted
Will try to provide any additional info needed
Thanks!

P.S. pic is the spell check pop-up i'd like to remove!

did you update it thru the rom today? it popped up saying there was an update but not sure if i should mess with it since it took alot to get this thing running smooth haha
if you mean connecting to the external and internal sd cards with USB thru the computer then yes thats working fine (just checked)
for now i have just disabled "spell check"
i still get suggestions above keyboard but no longer the pop-up when you select the word
unfortunately you also lose the underlining of misspelled words
added this as a lockscreen widget and it seems to work very well so far
Simple Dialer Widget

No that works fine. But I am talking about using an Otg Adapter to plug a mouse or keyboard or flash drive into the phone . This works on certain custom romss on this phone but wasn't sure if it is an option in hellkat
I have a "Green Battery" Note 7, and i'm strugeling with a problem, many of my installed apps ask me for various permissions on first use,
but some of them come up with a warnig about some overlapping settings that I must choose, and open up a screen with almoust all my apps
and a slider on/off switch,
I don't know what to do there and I can't put some of my apps working because of this.
I know this is new to Android 6.
Can someone help me with this settings please??
Thanks
Make sure you don't have the chat head thing from Facebook on the screen. Just swipe it down and close it, and it'll be fine.
