Hi. Just noticed.
Been running rc2 since it came out, but only just realised I have no contacts app. Is there supposed to be one in this Rom?
Can search my contacts through gmail or messaging app.
If there is supposed to be one, how would I go about getting it on? This Rom is being super stable for me right now, don't really want to re flash if I don't have to.

I would like to find out if there's an app for syncing my phone contacts with their fb accounts? I'm on Mod Version: cyanogenmod7-09292011-NIGHTLY-inc2. Thanks
I think you should be able to use the official facebook app. When you install that, the first time you run it it asks you if you want to import your facebook contacts.
Not sure though, I haven't installed it recently.
Thanks, but I think its because I'm still using nightly builds of cm7 without the 3.0 sense I'm not able to link contacts via fb.

Uhh...no. that shouldn't be it. I've used cyanogen. The contacts automatically link for me usually, just by me clicking "Sync with existing contacts."

Ditto, it does the same for me. There is an app on the market called SyncMyPix which does this if you can't get the FB sync to work right.

Sense uses Facebook for HTC Sense which does this.
On CM7 just sync within facebook app.
Easy as pie. If you are having issues then clear data within app and reinstall. You should be able to get it to work on first shot.
I went from the stock rom to juggernaut today for the second time, and this time, some of my contacts are gone. I used to have about 200, now I'm down to 41. I have a backup of the stock rom that I did last night, but is there an easier way than reflashing that rom, saving the contacts, reflashing the juggernaut rom, and restoring the contacts?
Always sync your contacts with your google account so that no matter which rom you flash youll always have your updated list.

I know that now. Is there anything I can do though?
Did you do a nandroid backup? Try a restore or syncing you google account.

So I'm running MIUI v4 2.6.29 on an SGH-T989. It works fine, but whenever you try to add a new contact, the app crashes. Sometimes, it says "com.android.phone crashed"
Is there a fix for this?
Use go contacts ex for now until someone can fix that

Pretty sure the contact bug is a known one, 3rd party app is the only way around it like above says

Hey, I've noticed Facebook doesn't like to play well will AOSP, as in it won't sync my contacts, even tho sync is on. Is this normal for AOSP? I'm used to dealing wit sense and ICS so JB is still new to me.

I think facebook doesn't play well on jb or ics, probably not aosp's fault. I would try updating to latest version if ur not on it, if you are or that didn't work then try scope or friendcaster.
Try haxsync app (worth it if you like hd pix of your fb friends when they call & their status update displayed)

So this past weekend i rooted my phone using cf autoroot and Odin. I sucessfully rooted my phone and then flashed Cyangoen Mod 10.1.2 onto my phone with no problems what so ever. Everything went very smoothly and had no hiccups along the way. The only thing that i have noticed is that my facebook contact pictures have not synced up with my phone's contact list. I went into the facebook settings and made sure that the contact sync option was selected. Even after i had hit Sync the photos were not showing up for the contacts. I am doing something wrong here? Or did i miss a simple step that should have been done? I am not sure if cyanogen mod supports this or not, but any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
You'll have to use something like Friendcaster or Ubersync or use a rom with the fix built in (e.x. Rootbox). If you search you can find a flashable fix, but it wouldn't work for me when I was trying CM.

I use HaxSync. Syncs contacts, calendar, everything. Bought the $.99 paid version. Haven't had a problem.
