I was wondering if someone has change the GPU speed from 320MHz to 400MHz using TricksterMod on play store?
how are the effects on performance/battery life?
You can change it, but it's controlled independently form my experience.. I go into TM and it will be 200mhz sometimes and other times it will be 400mhz.. Unless of course, you put it on performance governor.
We need a kernal to overclock the GPU and CPU lol ...that's what we need to get that CPU freq higher

hello, im using smartassv2 governor min 249mhz max 1516mhz
Doomkernel ICS Beta kernel.. when i look in time in state(im using set cpu) the max cpu reading is 1401mhz??? not 1516mhz even 0.01%!!!
is it my cpu bricked?? or something else..
for the information, i got the same result with different governor
any idea????
anybody????
This could be an init.d tweak issue. There must be a tweak that control ur cpu overclocking by default. Check it.

Flash another kernel, change your governors, under volt, underclock.
Have you tried any of those?
Also make sure no other apps are messing with your processor speed, or certain setting applied at boot.

Enable CPU power saving in settings. This would limit max speed to 1.26.

Some app is underclocking my cpu speed while in the middle of a game and it causes lag! Please help me to disable it!

Your CPU is overheating and it lowers the freq to make sure that your phone won't become a toast.

That's sucks!

same problem
i under volt and underclock just enough so i still have performance but not too lagy
just to stop heat

U may actually consider undrclock yourself when gaming
because most games depends more on your GPU than CPU (like real racing 3)
underclocking will slower the cpu a bit, but u wont overheat that fast
so u can do gaming smoothly for longer time actually
if u have unlocked the bootloader and got a kernel that support GPU overclock, consider overclock the GPU but maybe underclock cpu
Hey Ace 2 Users i have a question for You. Anybody know something, is it any apps in which allows we could allocate/change cpu frequency for apps.? For expample, change cpu freq in Apollo music player to 400mhz
Setcpu for root users.
No frills CPU control.

he meant if you can set different freqs for each app, not what apps can set governors(btw, we cant set min/max freq via these apps, see in roxsel kernel thread.[unless you used power saving on stock])
from what i understood, CMIIW
I'm thinking of flashing elementalx kernel but I would like to know the best settings for it before I flash it

I don't know about best. That's definitely a question that will generate many different answers. These are my settings and they work well for me but they are also fairly conservative. By no means am I trying to get the highest benchmark scores. And of course the same settings will not produce the same results on every device. I should mention that I don't use sweep2wake or doubletap2wake, They will to some extent lower battery life.
Set CPU core separately = no
Cpu overclock to 1620 MHz
L2 cache and bus bandwidth = ElementalX
Auto Undervolting = 850 min
Thermal setting = run hot. Mine never gets very hot but then I don't do a ton of gaming.
GPU overclock = 450 MHz
GPU governor = ondemand
Cpu governor set to stock ondemand. With ElementalX governor I was seeing a slight stutter running quadrant.
Gboost = I am not using.
Enabled max screen off frequency.
Enabled USB fastcharge.
Disabled magnetic on/off. Tablet is naked, no cover.
Again, those are the settings that I'm using and they are admittedly conservative. Not using any apps like setcpu, kernel tuner or trickster. Don't forget to make a backup first.
Ok thanks, will give it a shot, thanks again
