Yesterday the battery reached 0% when put to charge it took around 30 minutes and managed to turn it on and use it.
When I woke up this morning and I was using it I noticed it was completely unloaded, I noticed that the charger was misplaced, and then put the charging light was lit for about 10 seconds and then faded since then I tried to load it by twice, first for 2 hours and second for about 6 hours and both without any positive result.
When I try to connect you have a red LED that flashes 3 times ...
Any idea what to do?
thanks

with the phone left switched on i put it on charge last night at around 10.30pm
got up at 5.15 this morning to see the green light on
when i went in to battery info to check it said the following
full charged at 00.50monday 06 july
stand by time 4 hrs 15 mins
device usage 13 mins
how can this be
i was in bed so didnt use the device
and why is it saying fully charged at 00.50
with the charger still in and power switched on does this mean it does not take any charge once the light is green
hoping this may solve my battery problem as im on my 2nd TP2 and the battery lasted less than 18 hrs use yeaterday with about 15 mins of use
thanks for any help

k first of all, it's not a good idea to charge it overnight like that. take it from me, when I first got my Tilt (which was my first phone that used a Li-ion battery) I would charge it overnight all the time so that I would have 100% in the morning. but I noticed that the overall battery life slowly began to decrease the more I charged it till the status light was green. I ended up going the warranty path and had a brand new one sent to me, and ever since then I've monitored my charging, making sure that it didn't charge to the full 100%, and it's been fine.
It could also have been that specific battery. I always charge my phone overnight, and nothing goes wrong.
I had my new HTC Desire 3 weeks ago. Those last days I plug my HTC to the charger overnight and when I take it back in the morning the battery is only up to 92-93% and the led is green, like it had a full charge. If I unplug-plug the device, it will resume charging, this time up to 100%.
Is this a normal behaviour for a battery 3 weeks old?
How can I fix this?
This is normal behavior of the phone. It charges up to 100% and then stops until the charge drops down to 90%, at that point it starts charging again up to 100%. This is what you have noticed, there is nothing wrong with your phone or the battery
This worked, even though I am no longer worried about it.
1) After green light unplug phone and wait 10 minutes
2) Shut phone off
3) Plug back in till light green
4) Turn back on
Poof, 100% but other than that the above post is correct, not a problem. I bought an extended battery for mine. 3,000 mAh and have no problems.
i know i've read posts saying its not needed, but it seems that htc did not fix the problem the second time around. anyone else seeing this? both times already after taking the phone off charging for 5+ hours, i lose about 6% in 30 minutes with the phone display off just sitting there on my counter.
I have had my Dinc2 for 2 days now and I tried bump charging yesterday morning (after my first charge). I charged with the phone turned on, when the green light came on I then turned the phone off and plugged it back in...the light stays green.
When I bump charged my original Dinc it would take another 30 - 45 mins for the light to turn green again.
This morning I am showing UP time 25:18:19 Awake time 6:22:36 and I nave 52% battery remaining. Not bad especially considering I played a round of golf yesterday using Free Caddie as my GPS on the course!
I have a sprint galaxy nexus. I went to camp for a week after turning it off on a half charge. When I came back I tried to turn it on but it immediately shut back off. I plugged it in for a couple hours and it did kind of charge, but the charge icon came on then it displayed the charging animation/battery percent for a second or so at most then rebooted into the icon, then charge animation. It keep cycling and does NOT hold a charge. When I turn it on after a little bit of charging, it says 50 or so percent battery but EVEN IF I KEEP IT PLUGGED IN it still goes down very rapidly. A charge like that goes back to 0 and shuts off within 5 minutes. I'm wondering if I actually killed the battery, or if it can be saved, or if it isn't even a battery issue but a software issue or something. Any help is greatly appreciated.:fingers-crossed:
So one day my phone wouldn't wake from the lock screen so i restarted it and battery went down to 4% from 47%. I plugged it in to the charger and nothing. I tried different chargers and still nothing - no lights, nothing this went on for almost a week. I left it on the charger for couple hours on September 1st and then the red charging light came on and i turned on the phone and voila! it worked. I decided i wouldn't let my battery go so low again. The next day i was using my phone and it shut off at 20%. i went to charge it and nothing! this began to piss me off. I left it on the charger and a few minutes later it began to charge. Today September 3rd, i was using my phone and the battery was on 37%, jumped to 27%, jumped to 17% then 0% and then shut off. I plugged it up and nothing! This phone is irritating me. Sometimes it charges normally and other times it takes forever to start to charge. i don't know what the problem is. can someone help me please? @timmaaa any help?
