CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. This ROM is running great!!! Don't be a ninny, download this ROM...best one yet for the LGOGP!
Instructions to help install. (These instructions can be used towards any 4.3 ROM when switching for the first time.)
Download latest nightly to internal sd
Download 4.3 G-apps to internal SD of your choice. Must be 4.3! I recommend PA G-Apps here: http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps/pa_gapps-full-4.3-20130911-signed.zip
Reboot into recovery @madmacks TWRP recovery is the best IMO when on 4.3.
When you are in recovery...Format your ext SD card unless you have already been on 4.3.
After format... Use TWRP file manager to move ROM and G-apps to ext SD.
Now..go into advanced wipe and wipe everything except ext SD.
Now install ROM and the G-apps from ext SD.
Reboot
Rejoice
Enjoy.
Flashing in this manner will set you up for eternal ease on 4.3 ROMs
I have not tried this process on CWM as CWM does not like 4.3 ROMs on my phone.
I am not responsible for your LGOGP.
When flashing future nightly's, at minimum do a standard wipe...I recommend everything but internal and external under advanced wipe.

No data issue here.. Check your APNs, if you already have the correct modem flashed, you are OK.

Be patient haven't you noticed both these aokp and paranoid build just popped up for our device. Look how long it took to combine on smart phones. But i do agree with you ill be waiting patiently.

When you go through the setup wizard it is one of the backup/restore options you choose. Happens to me all the time. Even the settings I had from my last ROM follow.

+1 on this. If you chose to restore Google account backup it will redownload most of your apps and also will connect to WiFi without requiring password again.

When I flash my awesomeBEATS, it asks if the base is AOKP, AOSP, CM, etc. Is this rom it's own base of AoCP, or is it something else?

Finally got set up, and I have to say I'm impressed. Nice & smooth, set up was not complicated and operations are running without a snag. My only problem is how do I place a different user on the drop down tiles? I try to change it to a different user, but it keeps changing back to me.
It also has that ghost thing happening that seems to be going around, but no more than I was getting on other roms. I'm also loving the boot animation.
Gonna check my camera and music later. If they work out, this rom could seriously threaten my current daily.

I just found this little gem while browsing through the development threads. I flashed Mysterious about an hour ago and restored my apps from TB and set up everything to my liking. My previous rom was Liquid Smooth 2.5 w/Koontz kernel, but I thought I would give this a try. (Nandroid backup is a great thing.) Nothing wrong with Liquid, I just like to try out new AOKP builds when they are available. Mysterious is feeling really good so far. Wow. What about this ROM makes it so FLUID? Like its swimming in honey. Not a single snapping zoom while in browser like I usually expect. :good: pretty awesome!

I hear ya. Try porting rasbeanjelly. It's strait aosp with a few key mods cherry picked from aokp/cm. It was so smooth on other phones.... I wish someone would pick it up.... Sometimes less is more

I looked this up and what I seen on the Nexus 4 with the trinity kernel has got to be sick, I would like to see this ava. for the LGOG..

For some reason on this rom I get awesome reception and really good WiFi signal, seems like on few other roms its terrible any ideas why

GREAT!!! I'd love to run Rasbeanjelly on this phone! And the developer @rascarlo does a great job of keeping it updated

I couldn't find the sources for HBean either But that's fine though! It was really just an alternate version of CM10.1 anyways (IMHO though, it ran 500% better than CM on my Epic 4G )
One other request I could make, and I'm not even sure about this myself.... What about ProvisionMod ROM? I only think that went up to 4.1.2, but damn if that ROM wasn't solid

What is AICP?
AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!

What's Broken:
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy JB. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

Sounds like something did not flash correctly. I would do a factory wipe / format system and reflash rom + banks gapps to be safe

Couldn't agree more! Was sticking to the 1/31 CM11 build until this popped up, and I am also pleased that xfloating works with Halo. It wouldn't behave right on other ROMs featuring Halo but opening multiple apps works perfectly on here! Love that PC-like multitasking!
Only bug I've found is that the haloshortcuts app doesn't work with AOKP ribbons. It's supposed to open an app in a window when clicked but opens normally, instead.

Deep Sleep
First off, love this rom.
Now, I can't get this sucker to deep sleep. Using Wakelock detector, Suspend_Backoff seems to be the culprit. Anybody have this problem? I used PAgapps.
