I've used k-9, Kaiten, and several other email clients. The best by far - and I mean head and shoulders better - is Aquamail
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kman.AquaMail
I have no personal or financial interest other than as a user. But this email client is excellent and the developer is very responsive.
Smells like an advertisement...
But it really isn't. If you try it you'll see. If you don't it's no problem to me. Just sharing.
I was a long time user of k-9,but recent upgrades caused repeated crashes forcing me to look for an alternative. And I found it.
Tried Aquamail, went back to K9. Really like K9, great UI, treats Gmail folders MUCH better than Gmail does (can select only the ones you want), can turn off conversation view, dark theme looks great, can tweak font sizes of every item, I get Gmail notifications faster than on my PC... just can't see how anything could be better, especially free.

No activesync support last I checked, so that was a bummer for me. I used to use enhanced email, used the betas which were good but waiting on a final release to the play store.
Can check into it, and also heard that Touchdown was good but fairly expensive.
I stopped checking work emails on my tablet and use the HTC One's email app(which is very good).

I tried it, it has potential. My city does not exist for weather. I hate the bottom dock.
Love the Overclocked "nonsense" CM7
Tried it. Didn't care for it that much. I want no iPhone app drawer, and the drawer wasn't very smooth. I liked the change-screen 3D thing though, good overview. Good free alternative to SPB Shell 3D. But I always come back to LPP in the end. Just as SPB this has too little customization option.
Aesthetically...it looks great but its slow....I have minimal visual settings n it still loads and initializes everytime I hit home....it needs to become more responsive like ADW or LauncherPro....ill pass for now....

It was released maybe a couple hours ago. I'm running it now and its pretty cool.

I'm just sharing the app for people that didn't know about it. If you want to share the link to the developers or the source there are many so you can google search it.

Installed on Stock HK3 (odexed) everything if fine, but SMS, attempt to start SMS received error "Not supported"
Looks nice, but I stay with GoLauncherEX
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Tried to install on milestone with Froyomod2.9.3, but did not work well. even settings were missing only two buttons shown with no description.... seems still under developement.... Even kept on forceclosing and golauncher appears from behind continuously. uninstalled finally after some trial.
GoLauncherEX works fine now...
Can't even let into app drawer to even begin,it just force closes!
Good as it removes notification bar and gives the real estate of whole screen. But menu option should ve been better customizable.
1) - But it also lacks honeycomb style google search widget and
2) menu option(written "Apps" in right upper corner)
Plz include these two things in update, and
3)multitasking - if possible include nokia n9 like application switching (swipe) or webOS's card like multitasking
Plz.

No, Flipboard is like a virtual magazine where you can choose contents that you like and add your social network accounts, like Facebook and Twitter and see their feeds in a magazine-like style.
Does it have push notification when someone comment our post on fb or twitter?

Thank you all devs for your great work!
I don't know how many 2010-11 android users we have(it seems like we got hella n00bs lately- no offense), do you guys remember federico? Launcher pro creator (he was rewriting the app), he made uber music, which looks great and a lot like windows phone metro ui, fede hasn't make any updates since last year, almost a year from now, idk where he is and I don't think people do, so I guess his apps are still there but not updates, so I was wondering if there is any app the does the same with music control on notifications an extra features

Expect it to run laggy as anything. The dinc can barely handle android 4.2.2. Throw on halo and you have a performance nightmare. I'd say it can be done but it's a horrible idea. Overlaying apps on top of others on an old device can't be a good thing for performance. Zach would probably add it to his roms knowing him.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Oh, well I use my dinc as an mp3 player and messenger... So I just need a couple apps so the ram doesn't slow it down... I was using ur ROM for a while and it is super quick... Faster than my galaxy nexus... Just wanted to try out halo to switch back between music and messaging...

The app in the play store doesn't do much on its own. It needs the framework commits to be even worthwhile. I think the app extends features from the open source part:
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/paranoid-android-team-open-sources-halo/
Zach has a build up with halo it runs surprisingly well. Not at all glitchy.
