thanks for the info..
can u suggest me a rom for the F240L or should i wait for a stable one?

im guessing this is cm based, so with that....im running cyanfox can i flash over it without a reset? im only asking to save time having to re enter all my info. apps are not a problem as i use titanium. thanks for your work as well!!!!

is there still lag like all the other 4.3 roms when scrolling in browser and doing other things?
thank you though! nice to see development starting to pick up. really stoked i ended up getting this instead of cruddy galaxy mega.

Not usually..I've found that since they have different settings options I'll have sections that will force close and usually the entire settings section.

UPDATE: here are a few things i have noticed about this rom such as a few bugs and some positives of this rom.
Good:
-Mostly stable. So far Google now has worked flawlessly along with Maps and GPS with NO signal drops. I also have been getting excellent battery life and amazing stand by time compared to other CM 10.2 roms. Even compared to the stock rom battery life is comparable.
-Almost none of the scrolling lag (specifically in browsers) that we have been experiencing on CM 10.2 roms.
-Overall "scrolling" through the entire system UI just seems smoother, not sure if its just me?
-Text box entry works 100% FINE in Google Chrome, also lag seemed to be fixed in Chrome as well.
Bad:
-Phone reboots whenever I try to play a video. Whether I open up a streaming video in the default video player or another (MX player in my case), the phone freezes for about 5-10 seconds, then reboots. I also have this issue when playing videos that are on my phone and not being streamed. Havent experienced this in other CM10.2 roms so it might be an easy fix?
-Text box entry doesn't work in the AOSP browser. For example, on XDA, if I attempt to make a post from my phone nothing updates in the POST entry box, but it says I am typing. Same thing on other sites.

I really liked the scrolling animations in menus. is this a 4.3 feature? or specific to this rom? i dont recall seeing it in any other 4.3 roms.

Work in Progress
Before you go any further, 4.2 still has a quite a few bugs that need to be resolved by Google.
Please make sure you have backups for anything you don't want to lose.
Google apps are not official, this is a community hack, we have tested all apps but you could still encounter issues.
This is still a work in progress. we are working hard to tame 4.2, which brought significant changes and bugs.
Do not ask about CyanogenMod features. We will add more features in version 3.x, when we have a 100% stable base.
Installation
Update your recovery to the latest version. Pre 4.2 recoveries can mess up your sd card/storage. We recommend TWRP.
Download pa google apps: http://d-h.st/Do8 Updated 15-JUL-2013
Download rom: http://d-h.st/N7z Updated 18-JUL-2013
Follow PA on Google+ for changes and other info
Perform a factory reset in recovery, unless you are already on PA 2.99+
Flash ROM first, then gapps
Wipe dalvik & cache
Reboot and wait, first bootup can take up to 5 minutes, it will also restart once
Enter your Google account info, press home when you encounter the black screen
After the quirky bootup (thanks to aosp) is over, the rom should work normally
Do not restore system apps, system data and Google apps. This can cause bootloops and other problems due to mismatches from CM to AOSP and Android version 4.1.2 to 4.2.x
Previous jellybean versions: toroplus
Features
Hybrid engine ported, Per App DPI and Per App Layout
Tablet UI back from the dead
Per app color
Quicksettings -> Quicktoggles (first draft, more to follow)
New recents implementation
We fixed the aosp lag in the recents view, well, most of it
New SystemUI Icons that can cope with transparent bars, thanks go to John Xionidis
See through Lockscreen is back
Transparent bars + Launcher2 modified to cope with it
4.2 Walls and Sounds
Google stock apps
Extended Desktop
PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT
This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR
ParanoidAndroid's newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

New option: "large" to trick an app thinking the device has a real big screen. some need it, like amazon kindle to jump into tabUI. some even react on it, gdrive will slightly adapt its layout - makes only sense if you give it a small dpi though.
The algorithm to extract the actual layout containers from apk files works more precise and can reveal more than before. there will still be a few apps left who do that layout stuff in java - we will add an override button for that, but in the meantime you can edit /system/etc/paranoid/properties.conf .layout=360 for phone-like UI, 600 for phablet, 720 = tablet, 1280 = super huge tablet

New Hybrid code, keyboard troubles should be gone, apps that crop images or display weird, that should be gone aswell
PAD/PAL work in phonemode 100%, no weird toggles and stuff like that. you get full tablet apps without caveats
Settings cleanup, most of the garbage dpi options are gone, should be more intuitive - i ask you to not bring your old pad.props though some things changed. if you know what you do take a look and edit by hand

You know what annoys me about this ROM? All the customizability! I am spending a lot of time getting everything where I like it and I love it. Noticed on other ROMs that allow me to hide the nav buttons that most games would screw up their orientation when I did hide the nav buttons so it was largely an unusable feature. But not on Paranoid! Really nice to play Max Payne is FULL full screen And again, thanks for sticking with the CM kernel.
EDIT: Only feature I yearn for is the ability to disable lock screen rotation.
Nice, getting this now. This is a great rom.

Hybrid.
Anyone know how to scale the lock screen? A couple of my shortcuts are cut off at the bottom. Its not a huge deal, only cosmetic but I'd like to get it right if I could.
Edit...
Nevermind, I figured it out. I just needed to adjust the framework dpi.

Honestly the Nav bar keys you used look glitched, even if that's how they're supposed to look. You're going to get a lot of complaints about this because really, they look more defective than stylish. Thanks for the zip though.

[ROM][4.2.2][AOKP/CM] Root-Box [20131015][v4.1?][PIE][Halo][Privacy Guard]

Hey forum,
So, here's a bit of an update, apparently Android 4.3 is a harsh environment for this phone, so I've gone back and got Root-Box rebuilt so I can have an up to date daily driver.
The only thing that bugs me right now is that if you set a lock screen custom wallpaper it seems to cause a restart of the System UI after a while.
Please, enjoy.
^_^

Here's a lock screen with a Unicorn.
DescriptionVanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps. This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with AOKP/CM features and some CM cherry-picks. Keep in mind Jelly Bean is only at the beginning stage of development and there will be minor bugs. Every RootBox releases are stable and always up to the challenge for a daily usage. I personally have a high standard when it comes to releases and this is why this project always meets the expectations of users. If you're wondering how this ROM differs from any other AOKP roms out there, I only have one thing to say: Try it yourself and choose the one that meets your requirements.

Coming from another ROM:
1. Have a safe (preferably EL26 cwm) recovery
2. Wipe Data/Factory Reset (This does not affect your Internal/External storage)
3. Flash RootBox zip
4. Flash JB GAPPS
5. Wipe Dalvik Cache
6. Reboot
How to upgrade RootBox versions:
1. Download RootBox update
2. Flash RootBox update
3. Flash JB GAPPS
...
6. Reboot
Special Note:
Recently someone hacked the Facebook hack into the contacts provider, this does not upgrade cleanly and force-closes acore a lot.
To fix this issue, you need to remove /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/contacts2.*, your contacts will re-build this database when the sync runs the next time (May require a reboot).

Sniper hasn't had a build in over a month, in the last little while a new feature appeared... like I said up there at the top.
Also, I added a preference of having a "Tiny" font to the settings, because I like it that way.

I added an option to have "Tiny" fonts because I like having a small font and sniper hasn't had a build in like 2,000 years, I posted this because the new Halo feature is kinda neat, thought maybe some peeps would like to see/use it :good:

What would it take to add "Screenshot" as a navigation bar button option and add the date to the status bar clock? These two items are included in SlimBean, BeanStalk and Liquid Smooth but are missing from all the roms I've tried that are built with PA preferences.

Screenshots of Halo look like this works better than the other Halo's I've tried. flashing now to see how it runs. Thanks!
WOW! This is working like a trooper and so smooth, I like Xposed better than PA (increasing Font for old eyes) and I run various apk's from all roms, platforms etc... so this is definitely not an average install. Everything is running great and have not found any issues and this is the Best Halo I've had running!
I may have to try using that ^_^

That would be cool I don't know what the font size is however I run apps in Xposed DPI 128 Font Scale 138. Not sure if it is 138% default font or just a setting?

Just uploaded a build from today (Not a whole lot of changes from Root-Box), added a Giant font-size option
Not sure if that alleviates any DPI issues in other apps or anything, just figured I'd add it ^_^
Can receive MMS but can't view....

This makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Will this get merged to 4.3 when the CM branch becomes official?

yes, i will try to build it.
Great job on this one. Very smooth, no bugs as far as I know. ListView Animation is impressive.
I have been running the 4.3 for 24 hours now. By far the best ROM I have ever had on my ns4g. ListView is amazing. Smooth and responsive. I haven't found any bugs besides not being able to change voicemail number. Thanks for breathing new life into our phones!

Great job on this JustinXu. Smooth as always and ive ran into no bugs. Keep it up.
Nice, finally 4.3!! I'm a little sad that CM has neglected this device so badly. It's always nice to see the community can compensate for other' short-comings
Thanks for the build!!
Its been running smoothly and has great battery life compared to any 4.2.2 rom. I think that the only bug I've been able to find so far was that whenever i try to record a video with the camera it fc and when i try to use it ( or any app requiring the camera) it says cannot connect to camera. There's 3 ways to get around this clear the gallery data and reboot, download a whole new camera app from the play store, or flash the the camera42_patched_v2.zip from the cm10.1 thread.

OK so far so good thank you for this ROM. I do have one question. I have looked in every possible place but I can't add screen shoot to the power menu. Where is this option?

I just installed this a few hours ago & I'm charging back up. I did a quick run through of the settings, but didn't see any option to change the screen density. Is this an option?
Wow great rom Justin! I've been running the 4.3 test rom for a day and it has been super stable, smooth and so far problem free...you would never think that this is a test rom. Thanks so much for bringing 4.3 to the 4G!

Going to give this a try when I get home, I've tried nearly all the 4.4 roms but haven't looked at this one yet. One question, does this have the stock CM kernel?
I'm trying this for the first time and can't find the settings for window animation speed ? Not in dev options like it usually is?

I had it on 4/21 but it actually wasn't having data drops, just signal display issues, I did a clean install and it fixed it, do you know where the option to make the system apps black?
