i tried to flash the original f240l kdz, flashed with sucess once , but didnt solve my problem (unknows IMEI)

KDZ file are Factory image of ur LG. It not only for update but also ur LG have any problem such as to fix Soft bricks,from custom rom go back to Stock factory image.
4.2.2 is leak for china e985 but only2 day and Now it was down again.
Hopefully we can get 4.2.2 soon from LG.

Are you sure about that....??? I have flashed the SKT Korean ones and E986,E989 KDZ`s on my USA E980 no problem.. Thats why I was wanting the 4.2.2 download as well.
As long as a person backups there baseband and EFS it should be fine.

Backups are as always haha Not sure on the China Version though, There might be some differences on there.
Here is a mirror link to some of the G Pro stuff, In case LG removes them. they seem to remove old versions when theres is a new one

Well apperently you havent been here long. Ive been flashing E988, E986, S240K and all others on my AT&T E980 with light problems but I dont think its going to brick it, But it would be pointless for you to flash yours to something different.

Try flashing CM10.2, as it doesn't flash modem you don't need to reflash modem.img separately..............also one good idea is wipe internal memory before install and cahce/dalvik after install.....

You can install the italian stock rom - kdz file (your phone will probably become a 16gb version)

Remember to try only the G2 V5 version, not the V6. Read carefully before installing. I have been using it on my F240L for 2 months now. On this ROM, my phone behaves like the international version.

My version of CWM is 6.0.4.5. Could you provide more details about the error you're getting? Is your phone stuck in a boot loop?

When im flashing the g2 rom it stop says error1 . I redownload it 3x and still no luck. I was stuck on cwm bootloop
Btw i tried flashing e988 kdz on my f240s and my internal storage became 16gb and lost imei so im finally back in f240l stock rom so much adventures.this day on this phone

6.Reboot and enjoy

Due to soft brick, I flashed my e980 US model with a e988 Hongkong JB stock KDZ coz i always get an error in tot flashing.
Currently, Im in stock JB e988 rom in my e980 smartphone.
Would the OP rom be safe for me to flash?

Hi Bro,
You can use the latest LG Flashtool 1.8 and the latest .tot file. It works flawlessly.. I'd recommend not to flash this Rom on ur current rom as the base of this rom is E980.
This ROM has also European Languages .Very nice. I removed the modem.img from zip and flashed it on my E986. I did a factory reset in recovery and format system and wipe dalvik cache and than install zip from external SD in CWM 6.0.4.8. The External SD card is working. Fotos and downloads remained on internal storage. Also speakerphone is working in a call. Awesome Finally a fully working LG 4.4 2 KitKat with Dutch language.

My modem is still stock I guess. It is APQ8064/MDM9x15M. It has worked on all CM and earlier Sphinx versions.

Hi, why r u checking the Viet site u can check xda to get the stock ATT 4.4.2 and how to root 4.4.2. Check Xitrom post in development section only and get the recovery mentioned there..

Yes.. plz do flash AT & T stock Rom first.. radeonmaya is based on F240 so ur phone would brick. And yes viperforandroid should work.. test n reply.. :thumbup:

This is easier said than done, but i always got an LG Flash Tool error saying that my device is wrong.
LG Mobile Tool Support currently recognize my phone as e988 coz i flashed a stock JB e988 hongkong KDZ.
By default, i think LG Flash Tool does not work for OG Pro International variants
Has anyone by pass this error.

Flashable version would do it for you.. make sure u do all the necessity wipes..

Stock rom use different ril library for different model, If you want to try you can replace /system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so with F180K Kitkat rom. And maybe /system/etc/telephony.xml. I'm not sure it'll work.
But what I did is compare all files from 2 roms and get all different file to make a patch. It works for my patch to change from Thai firmware to German. (I also change kernel but I don't think there are anything relate to mobile signal in it)

But what I did is compare all files from 2 roms and get all different file to make a patch. It works for my patch to change from Thai firmware to German. (I also change kernel but I don't think there are anything relate to mobile signal in it)

2.Use this tool for backup imei and signal network.

3. Flash rom miui 4.8.1
4.Download SQLeditor. Need root for use.

A lot of Korean forum people are saying thank you.
They can flash rom successfully but can't get signal bars. But when they try your method, all people are getting signal bars and communication.

When I reboot my phone, it's signal is empty again. How can I fix it?

Please try ARTMOD and edit sqlite table to make sure that it not my rom bugs. If that method is not work on that rom, maybe you miss something importance about F180K and e975 convertion. Maybe other F180 user can give your more info.
And if you can use logcat other member may help you verify what is error. Make sure that you enable use debug on phone.
adb logcat > debug.log
Or use catlog to show log on phone.
As i remember 2 years ago korean users, like me, had problems with the signal on roms different than korean stock.
I dont remember how exactly it was done, but the core action was to change provider checking mode from SIM/RUIM to NV/SIM/RUIM.
Or vice-versa, cause i dont remember that correctly lol.

Um... I see that NV setting in CDMA option in MIUI worldwide phone setting and I enable that selection in my rom next update. Not sure this will solve this signal problem or not.
@ruddnr951, Maybe you should play with LG hidden menu and see what difference between Mobile network default setting in e975 and F180 kdz.

sorry. I currently do not use MIUI rom so I can not help you. try my method on ARTMOD 4.1 rom, it will work fine. ARTmod 4.1 rom is better MIUI rom 4.8.1.
I had purchased a supposedly international unlocked LG g3 D855 32gb from eBay. Currently I am running kitkat 4.4.2 rooted rom which came pre-installed on the phone and it's rooted. There is no update center on my phone.
Underneath the battery it's written "MADE IN KOREA"
Now I want to update it to lollipop or may be marshmallow but the problem is that I can't find which version of rom to flash as there are lots of D855 models in market there is European version, Korean version, Hong Kong version, Indian version. There is no clear indication on the box or on the phone abt the version is there any sure shot way of knowing what rom should I flash as I can't take risk of hard / soft bricking the phone. I am attaching screen shot of software version.

Hi
LG G3 D855 is the European version of the G3. Download LG Phone From app and run it and it will inform you of your phone details. There are 2 serial nos. the 2nd one will give you the phone region/carrier e.g. My G3 has AGBRVK which designates UK Virgin Mobile.

At first check it's refurbished or not.
Lg g3 d855
If ur phone is d855 the u can flash any d855 rom (Indian European etc) all are same ,but make sure u flash correct storage file (32gb 0r 16gb).

It's a refurbished phone I m pretty much sure abt it. How to make sure it's d855. I mean it could be a Frankenstein phone.

You have to ensure your model number before update otherwise you will brick your phone ?

The listing from where I bought it said it's D855 LG G3.... But this method shows the following pic. So it's Verizon version isn't it??

Do u think it's safe to flash this kinda phone... I mean he could have changed a few parts here and there.. I mean it's showing D855 in settings and VS985 in recovery, seller might have done something fishy to this phone
Are there any risks attached - using the phone as it is... Is it going to be trouble some later?

In xda if you search you will find lots of refubrish Lg g3 phone,basically D850 or ls990 model number and they use their recovery model firmware for successful update. Basically what i understand seller did nothing special he root the phone edit build.prop file to change model number and other information . Before selling he just unroot or uninstall supersu. But flashing is up to you , if you know how to flash phone or want to take chance than you can try it, otherwise just ignore it.

i suggest to return it because in xda i see lot of people have issue with their refurbished phone. like display flickering issue, blue screen of death like that.
