Sony Nexus X.. Real or fake?

I surely like Sony design...

I would love a Xperia Nexus but hope the design would be better than that one. So far I haven't heard any info from my sources.

Plus everyone knows LG has the next Nexus phone locked in, there's not yet been more than one release at a time why would this occasion be any different? Just doesn't make sense really.

Call it fake or mockup or whatever, there is a strong rumor that Sony will be releasing Nexus Phone this year.

And how is a Sony Nexus different from the Xperia T? Or rather, what exactly is a Nexus? Also, I'm more interested in the rumored quad core Sony phone that was leaked last week.

Nexus is a pure android phone. No custom UI or restrictions. Gets updates as soon as Google releases them and always runs the latest os.

What's so awesome about the nexus? Ive never had one and I wanted the first one but never could afford a smart phone until now. Ive seen some talk about the Sony Odin having 5inch 1080p display 2gigs of ram and a new quad-core cpu, why so much hype about a nexus?
Edit- also just an fyi this isn't me trying to put the nexus down just an honest question

In general, a Nexus device gets the latest updates faster than any other phone. They usually set the bar for where Google thinks the platform should be at. All of the manufacturers will have their own flagship devices, but none of them will get updates faster than a Nexus device.

So a breakdown of some stats:
MSM7227 Snapdragon processor (I assume 1 gHz max)
3.5 inch screen
3.2 MP camera
1500 mAh battery
Launching on JB (E dual will launch on ICS with JB update coming after. Thank you Felimenta97)
But there are no standout features except for possibly the dual SIM which was featured on another Xperia phone this year (Xperia tipo I think). If anyone wants to add on to the list feel free to do so.

I loved their phones until ericsson got bought by sony they launch 200 crappy phones a year all same design same specs literally...
Even the ion feels slow and needs better hardware to run their timescape ui..

exactly. every single 2011 SE phones with gingerbread software run faster than 2012 sony phones (maybe excluding xperia t and v)..

thi phone doesn't have hd recording because the chipset is really slow. i dont know why sone relase such a phone

Well, not anymore (in terms of specs, at least). E and J were the last very low end phone of their line. Now is just medium to high end. They want to be a premium company. Even their "low end" phones are gonna be medium ones. Wait for a event soon... (Not sure when, as looks like they won't be at MWC).

and still they decide to release FF OS for this particular device!

Selling Xperia s although I love it

I am considering selling my Xperia s for the new Samsung s4. Is anyone else?
I love my phone but I am tired of the lack of software support from Sony. I can't believe we still haven't gotten jelly bean it really is ridiculous.

No. We already have fully working Jelly Bean 4.1.2, and 4.2.2. I would consider selling my Xperia just for a different sized phone.

True the current 4.1.2 roms are soo solid and stable they'll be better than Sony's when it's released anyway. It's a guarantee the first release of Sony will have buggy where as our 4.1.2 roms will only get better using the newly released sony drivers

the s4 is so underwhelming and ugly and cheap looking that it won´t stand a chance against the new nexus, h2 sony and moto x.

Hardware specs wise is superb, physically slimmer, doesn't look too much bigger to hold, design appearance ain't that bad either. Loving the 13mp camera. But one thing I'm really interested in is the 'free touch' feature. Really practical and innovative! Anybody able to develop a similar app for note 2? This phone sounds like a level up of every note 2 feature.

Nah the thread is fine. I don't like the one thread for everything idea tbh.
As for OP - just pure specs mean nearly nothing - just like LG Optimus G Pro IMHO. Dev support, upgrades etc. are also important. There might be devices with better specs than Note II. IMO Note II checks all the right boxes - that hardly any other devices do.
As for the feature, don't even know how it works. Or how it could even be ported.

is it possible to Port a Dual SIM ROM from many of SONY's Dual sim phones.. to our Xperia PLay so that it can work as a Dual SIM Phone..
I mean yes their are adapters and all but those involves switching sims etc.. this would make both sims work like STOCK.. it work better isn't it if possible. I was reading about how 2 whatsapp work on the same phone and only you need to plug the 2nd SIM once and it keeps working. so on those lines.. is it possible ??
2nd scenario.. even if not like whatsapp.. what if we PORT the ROM and then use an adapter so both sims are present.. >> any ideas.

Not sure but I have seen adapters on eBay that allow you to use two sides on a single Sim device. But you have to have some kind of software I'm sure in order for the phone to see and use both, one at a time of course

yes.. the adapters sometimes do come with a software also.. but what I meant was.
Using the Dual Sim Sony ROM from a Sony DUal Sim Phone..
and using the Adapters for having the 2 sims.. and letting the official SONY software control the sims.

any compatible or working adapter with xperia play any one could recommend ??
