Note feels so much better without a case. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

The person I traded my phone with included a rubber case. A little thick. The color was kind of girly, so I took it off for a few minutes. Used it without the case, and feels MUCH better.
Anyone else raw dog their note 2?

Mine stays in an otter box for safe keeping.

Too slippery naked imo, gotta have a case on it

Half the time it has no case, for special occasions when it needs a rubber grip on goes the thin body glove case.

My friend told me he don't need a case on his note 2 because it feels awesome without it. He kept insisting he is careful and don't need one, even though I recommended him to use a case. Few weeks later he msged me i need of how to back up / restore contents to a phone. I'm sure you can guess how this story went.

Oem case is pretty awesome. Protects agile giving it the naked look.

I use a case when I am fapping only, the rubber on the outside helps keep a one handed grip on the phone to help prevent slipping into the toilet.

Something scary happened yesterday.
The phone slipped from my hand and fell over the stairway, and rolled down downstairs. I was so scared the screen will be destroyed, but lo and hehold, there is NO DAMAGE!
I use Body Glove hybrid case.

Any phone I have ever owned has always been naked. No screen protector or case. I haven't dropped a phone yet. I never get insurance either. I just treat my phones like a baby lol. Would you ever drop your baby?
Besides phones are meant to look and feel sexy just the way they are haha. Go naked!

I've used cases since my Nokia 5120 days. You can baby your phone all you want but you can't account for pure accidents. You might be holding it when some kid barrels into you from behind, causing your phone to go flying onto the concrete. Plus there's normal wear & tear to worry about too- you may *never* drop it but no device is going to remain pristine after 1-2 years of daily use. You WILL get scratches, rub marks, chips, etc.
I refurbish phones for a living & I can always tell who's used a case & who hasn't, even if there aren't any obvious signs of a drop. We get SO much more money for phones that were kept in cases, in fact half of the jobs I do consist of swapping good components into non-wrecked housings.
I dunno, it's all about choice, but you'll never catch me without a case. Too much here worth protecting, IMO.

What if you don't need to trade in your phone or re sell it to buy the newest phone? I usually always give my old phone to my nieces, nephews, or a family member.
I've never really used a phone case, and all my phones have always been in excellent condition. Of course, back in the day I'd have a phone clip on, but that was during the motorolla days.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app

I always keep my phone for a year and then sell them on eBay in the condition of 9/10 or better. If that accident does ever happen, then we'll, it's not the end of the world lol. To me it would be worth enjoying a naked phone...
It's like what's the point of having a nice slim phone when your just gonna slap a hefty case on it. Idk, I guess it's all personal preference.

Indestrubile case for retarded girl friend.

Ok, she broke the second Atrix. The first one she dropped and cracked the screen so I got a rubber case for the replacement.
This time she left it on top of the car and it got ran over by a truck.
Since our health care provider doesn't cover brain transplant, can anyone recommend some kind of industrial war proof hard case or something for the Atrix?
EDIT: Sorry for the bad spelling. Her retardation is contagious.

Go in the house and smash the stove with a hammer everytime she does something wrong. Worked for me.
But in regards to the case;
I work in a factory operating an oversized grab forklift. I have the otter box defender case, and have dropped it out of the forklift all together heaps of times, no physical damage. Though, its bulky and not very lady like.
I stick by my original advice to take a hammer to her stove though.

I've got that, broke several phones on it. When it's EOL (and they can't fix it) they give you credit toward a new phone. Killer deal.
Edit: I also have an Otterbox on mine but that's only because I worked in the field for a long time, losing your phone mid-day kind of sucks.

I bought the case but I won't be receiving my phone until tomorrow. I was wondering if the case scratches the phone at all. If its going to scratch my phone I'm probably going to return it or sell it.. I had a case on my og epic and it scratched the hell out of it..

then i must have a defective one. every edge is sharp. along the power button, volume... and all around everything. i really hate going to that sprint store. there's a minimum of 45min wait for each visit i've had in the last 2 months.
first time looking at it through a loop. where the top and bottom seams join there's an excess of plastic which is causing my sharp edges. i could just file them down instead of going to the store. that was my original plan.
Using mini ziplock bag till a better case comes out. All touch actions work fine.

Anyone not have their SIII in a case?

Just curious. I got my SIII on the 29th and haven't bothered with a case yet. My previous phone was an archaic Motorola Razr V3m that I had for 5 years and in that time I only dropped it a couple times on the carpet, and once it hit my closet door track which did put a ding on it. I'm thinking of just forgoing a case.
Only have ghost armor in mine. No hard case.
Dropped quite a few times. Usually just the battery case pops off in the harder falls. One fall left an slight dent that I didn't even notice till later.
Have dropped on sides and front. No screen cracks yet. No scratches...only because of the skin that covers the full body.

Yea those dark spots were bad on the t989 actually very bad. The gs3 is a long way from that but this is definitely the result of their amoled screen

Cars can get pretty hot inside with windows rolled up in heat of summer.
95degF can lead to an inside air temperature 149degF + in just 15 minutes , Longer the car remains unopened the hotter it gets you can bake cookies.

I agree. I had an Active before the Defender. The Active is much more slippery, stick with the Otter.
I can verify from first hand experience that his phone does not take even a small drop onto a hard surface well. My first one slipped out of my pocket and fell no more than 30 inches onto pavement and it looked like it had been ran over by a dump truck. Get a case and never look back folks.

I love the all aluminum body but.....

Does anyone else have trouble hanging in to the phone? I came from the rezound with an extended battery which gave the phone a brick like appearance LOL. It just seems pretty damn slippery sometimes and I really don't want to cover this beauty of a phone up with a case. Is it just me or what. Other than that and a locked bootloader I've got nothing else to complain about!!!

I found myself having to pay closer attention to how I handle mine. I had a Rezound and it stayed in my hand easily. My wife has an s4 with an otter box case and it is ten times worse than my One without a case.

I am using the Incipio feather case - seems to help without covering up all of that aluminum goodness. I was very nervous handling the phone without a case - WAY too slippery.
Glad I wasn't the only one. For a minute I thought I might have had freakishly small hands or something. LOL
I feel exactly the same haha. I never had a case with my rezound and really don't want to put a case over this super sexy phone but it's indeed very slippery and I've almost dropped it a few times now :/

I have a clear case now, but when I didn't use a case it was KIND OF slippery but I never really found myself having to be extra careful

I ended up buying the otterbox defender after I dropped it pretty good this past weekend. Just can't risk losing this unlocked beautiful phone haha. This cover is kinda overkill but I feel much more at ease

The diztronic case is perfect and 10 bucks. Don't need anything else.
