Facebook are well know for a battery drain. Search for greenify. It may help you reduce wakelock.
Although 1 wake lock every second does seem a bit extreme.

Here are some screen shot I've taken from better battery stats. But I can't quite understand what it is. Anyone knows what deleted wake lock is? And could it be Google maps that's eating it as well?

I freeze Maps unless I need it. Even with any kind of syncing off, it still eats battery. Looks like that and PowerAmp, mostly.

I'm guessing you said "battery saving app" and not "appreciate" )
My best one has been Lux Auto Brightness, paid version. Screen is the main power user, being able to control brightness is nice.

Deep Sleep Battery Saver, Greenify, and Lux have been great.
