Well haven't I been a bit of an idiot?!
Right then, so I installed the SentinelROM, rom, no problems there had a play around with it for a few days, and felt that it wasn't for me. So I went back to my recovery (TWRP) to install the backup I made, hoping it would backup my phone to its original rom.
Now the problem started with a bootloop, where it just got stuck on the "HTC One X" screen. So I wiped the system again, and tried to install the backup again and again. Nothing worked, so thought of flashing the recovery image I had. Tried that, nothing worked. This also got rid of the TWRP Recovery in the process.
I've been searching everywhere on how to revert to the original ROM, and I've had no luck so far. Either the tutorials are just a bit confusing, or I can't find the right files!
Now, could someone help me with this? If they have the relevant files that is. I'll try my best to give all the details you need, I'm just desperate to get my phone working again.
I was running JB 4.1 on my HTC One X.
My CID is ORANG001
HBOOT 1.36
Version-Main 3.16.61.6
Please could someone help me with this problem, and maybe explain it a bit more clearly! It would be greatly appreciated.
Flash the kernel file that is located in the backup folder. The boot.emmc.win file !

I've lost the backup file in the process of trying to restore the stock rom. I'm not sure how. I think it's because the TWRP was deleted so the backups are gone.
I've managed to install Cyanogenmod so its not like I don't have a phone!
But I would rather get it back to stock though!
Anyway way of getting a nandroid backup or a RUU for this? I've been searching everywhere! Watching numerous videos to figure out how to get it back to stock, and nothings working so far.
Bump.
You can download a nandroid backup for your cid and restore it

Which I've already searched for. But there doesn't seem to be a backup for my cid anywhere.
Is there a 2.17.61 ?
Edit

Thanks Mr Hofs, however I've tried that thread numerous times.
The dropbox download for my cid doesn't seem to be available. I just get an error with dropbox. Seems like the files don't exist anymore.
I'll ask on the thread if someone has it.

I was getting to root my OneX and I just water some help on things to do before.
Original RUU, I tried looking that original ROM thread's and couldn't find 1.29.720.11. Nor did I find the stock recovery for it. Where can I find these? I need them to go back to stock, right?
Also, once I go to HTCDev, and unlock. Can I flash CWM directly form fastboot or do I need to something else?
Then do a nandroid backup.
And flash.
Am I missing something?
You are perfect. Don't forget to take nandroid backup.

i don't think that you can flash a different phone's nandroid backup, there are many variables that change from a phone to another

Hi, could you send me a link for this backup if you still have it? Trying to get back to TMOB005 stock
Much appreciated!
Hi.
I also need the 2.17.110.5 RUU, as I'm trying to get back to stock rom from Cyanogenmod, as I want to install Jelly Bean OTA (TMobile just released it a week or so ago).
In the absence of that, I downloaded the Nandroid backup....however I'm having problems installing from Nandroid backups.
Here's what I've done:
Flashed the boot.img from the zip/rar file. (seemed to work fine)
Went into recovery in HBOOT.
Tried to recover from the ZIP, and it failed.
Is there something I'm missing here? (sorry, very much a noob when it comes to these things!)
A nandroid backup has to be unpacked. A RUU is a single .exe file.
Download the matching nandroid backup from here . Check the cid and main version.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
Unpack it and place it on the phones sdcard looking like this
Clockworkmod\backup\date and time folder\nandroid backup files
Flash the boot.img from the nandroid backup and enter the recovery , do a full wipe except sdcard and restore the nandroid !
When all this works you flash back the stock recovery
http://db.tt/U5CK4noo
And after that you can update the phone to JB
in case the ruu is needed you can get it from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/l6e21wodv...adio_2.1204.137U.21_release_284360_signed.exe
n1kos & Mr Hofs...thank you both very much. I'll let you know how I get on, but fingers crossed.
Worked perfectly. RUU not even required. You guys really helped a noob out there. Wish I could give you more thanks.
No problem mate ! Glad it worked !!!

hi,
its my first post, and i am moving from ios to android so it is not that easy so i hope i am doing this right,
all day i was looking for a way to backup my stock signed recovery.img before flashing TWRP for rooting [already unlocked bootloader],
then i searched for it and found this one [2.17.401.2] not a perfect match for my [2.17.415.2] , i remember someone was saying any 2.17 may work, is this correct and if not then i have to find a way to backup my img, and if you have ruu can this be extracted from it.
thanks

Hi there.
I'm really, really new on this subject, but this weekend i tried booting my HTC One X into Cyanogenmod. Unfortunately i was not satisfied as my Internet Browsers (Built-in and Chrome) kept crashing.
I now want to get back to the Stock ROM, but i'm uncertain what to do. I browsed this page for way too long last night, but there was no help to find.
Upon installation of Cyanogenmod, i createda back-up which i tried restoring from, but after that it could not boot, and this very moment i'm scared i bricked my phone or something.
While my phone was working i downloaded the correct Stock ROM and placed it on my SD-card. I tried installing it via recovery mode, but the installation aborted.
Any help would be fantastic, but please keep in mind that i'm new on the subject, and english isn't my primary language.
Cheers.

My initial problem was solved now by following THIS LINK, and my phone Booted. Unfortunately it's stuck on the screenlock, and it appears as if the touch-screen and buttons doesn't work.
Think you need a newer nandroid or a newer sense rom.
The nandroid must match :
Fastboot getvar version-main
The outcome of that command. Newer hboots have updated touch panel drivers which causes older nands and roms not to respond anymore on touch.

That was my concern, but this was the only one i could find that matched my CID, HTC__Y13
4.18.401.2 is the outcome of the command.
Then you can use any of the 4.18.401 nands from the collection thread. It's wwe interchangeable. Or flash any custom rom you like
