Possible bricked device? (E970) - LG Optimus G (International)

I had been experiencing issues with memory and decided to factory reset.
I have rooted, as this may be a result of that.
I receive the error on the boot screen, "Secure booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify"
I have tried entering the hard reset menu via Power and Vol. - .
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Of course.
If I revert to that thread mentioned (same one you posted first here), It is not for E970, just like, it seems, your thread.

Yeah,my thread is for the E975. A litle hint, this whole section if for E971/973/975,meaning Canadian and International Optimus G.
NOT AT&T or SPRINT.
So,i'm asking you again. Are you sure you read the right answers?
Just because i'm a nice guy, although we don't talk here about E970(totally different device), make sure you have unlocked bootloader. I don't know how the E970 behaves after a hard reset.Maybe it messed up your rooting/unlocking.
Use LGNSPT to revert to stock.

Ah, My mistake. And my apologies.
It took me a second to realize there is an entirely different forum.
Thanks.

)...finally )

I am aware of the model designations. However, it isn't abundantly clear in the main forum page for the OG that they have separate forums for each grouping of models.
I would appreciate it if you don't take me as one of your supposed "dumb people".
Just a little hiccup, is all.

I don't have "dumb people". It's a quotation from "Anger management",with Charlie Sheen. Not to mention there is a grea book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17843928-smart-phones-dumb-people And i just find it so real. The smarter the phone, the dumber the user. Again, not directed to someone specially. It's kinda ironic, don't you think? I mean, with every new device launched,we need more and more knowledge to operate them, when it should be the opposite. But again, a smartphone will help us, not think for us.

[Q] lg optimus g flashing

I always come here for support and this is my first time actually posting anything here. I been searching the web all day with no prevail and I feel I am out of options beside asking here. If what I am posting about not allowed here, forgive me and delete my post please or I will.
I am some what new to flashing but not new to rooting. I have a sprint Lg Optimus G. I got the phone when it first came out and can enable diag mode without a Service Code. now I am wondering if or how to flash this phone to use with cricket or a similar carrier(pre-paid) any info would be much appreciated, Thx

[Q] Optimus G Version?

Hello there xda, I've been loorking here for a while now but not commenting or creating threads so much.
Now I need someone to clarify me something about LG Versions. I already did some research (with no good results tho, I must s*ck with google and search boxes) so some orientation here would be really appreciated.
Can anyone tell all the version of this phone and its differences?
I know about e970, e973, e975 and e987.
And all I know is that they may have some little hardware differences due to the carrier's decision.
But this brings me to a huuge problem when I'm looking for rooting, recovery methods and flashing roms. It seems that some of this actions can be done with some versions but not with all of them.
Precise question: mine is e987 by "Claro Argentina", so witch methods are compatible with my terminal?

Can LM-G710ULM be rooted?

Hello guys
I´ve been looking for a way to do it, and I have only found things about the European version and older posts saying it could be done, so I´m not sure if it even possible as for today
Can somebody explain me if the process can be done?
Thanks a lot
I've realized before LG stopped supporting the V30, the damnned LG G6 US997 USA unlocked could be the last G-Series to enjoy unlocked bootloader & root, I don't know why the European variants getting bootloader as soon as the newer flagships are launched! Before buying the almost useless G710ULM, Last year the European G710EUM is costlier than the ULM. Since I was on a budget, I could afford the ULM "sigh"! Even the latest European LG V50 & the LG G8 is bootloader unlocked!

Yes, it can be unlocked and rooted. As far as I know, the instructions have not made their way to XDA, and XDA doesn't allow linking to the Telegram group where they're posted. Just Google for a Telegram group for the LG G7 ThinQ and look for the instructions posted there.
Unlocking isn't without some risk, though, since it involves temporarily overwriting the bootloader with another one, but it reportedly works.
So I dug up the instructions and the associated files this morning, but before I pull the trigger on this: will LineageOS builds work after the bootloader is unlocked? Obviously they're tagged for the EU model in the other thread, but I figured I'd check and see if someone tried this already.

Tried to DM you the link, please let me know if that worked! Otherwise you can install Telegram and just search for LG G7. Should pop up right towards the top.
Any new info on this? The G7 hardware is great so I would love to put lineage or some form of aosp on it. Couldn't find the telegram link though, so I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could send it to me. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I actually have the US unlocked model (lm-g710ulm) which does not support official bootloader unlock support from LG. I have heard a few people saying that there are unofficial methods of unlocking the bootloader and I wanted to give it a shot. Any new info is appreciated

message @octoplus on telegram, you dont need to cross flash, just upgrade to latest Pie android. Then follow the steps as usual, worked for me.

Can I make my Korean G7 (710N) think its Canadian?
I bought G7 from Korea on eBay (G710N) and wonder if I can make it canadian? Its workable, just irritated by minor things like dual clock on lock screen always shows Korea, and miles instead of km is default for some apps, etc...
