Has anyone used this app? Normally I don't use batter saving apps but since this one is made by snapdragon I thought I would give it a shot. Anyone else used and experienced any positive or negative results?

I had a dip in mine as soon as I started using it so I ended up uninstalling it. Maybe I should have given it more time.

I recall it stating that it needs two days to properly monitor your usage before it actually kicks in and does its thing.

This was after the initial learning period. It could have just been a change in my usage though.

I had this problem on my vibrant SO MUCH (like maybe 15 texts per day did this). Then I had it on my Galaxy S 4G (less but still alot). Now I rarely have it on my Galaxy S 2. No idea what could cause this issue but it seems to be getting better down the generations lol
I've had only about.......5 since I got my phone.

on my galaxy S 2, it might happened maybe 3-4 times since the 3 months I've had the phone
Yup.
Happens to me on a frequent basis. I have a launch release GS2 and it seems to happen to me on a frequent basis. I'm not sure what it is but it also happens a lot when it's converted to mms. I hope this gets fixed with ICS.

Yeah, they fixed mine free of charge. Some people say leaving the screen on full brightness overnight fixes the issue, doing this made mine less visible.
I also got mine on release day and it too developed the yellow spots, two of them I noticed. But they seemed to disappear on their own. I not sure if it was rom or kernel related. Just give it some more time it has been a known issue and there are some tricks to speed up the process.

Mine did this, then it came back with a vengeance. Nothing I did got rid of it except applying pressure which only worked for a second or two.
I had exactly the same issue. Bought a Hox on release day. After a few months the yellow spots appeared.
I sent it for warranty repair and they replaced the display (free of charge). Problem gone.

Did you know HTC have a website with a 'Support' section, and a telephone number?
And there's this awesome website www.google.com where you can search for stuff on the internet. Pretty cool.

Please suggest any ideas in simple words. I am a new member here and to such techinical words, plz explain in simple words.
Even after using easy battery saver and easy task killer with screen brightness at the minimum, I still face this problem with battery life.
Thank you.

Actually, this is my second brand new HOX, replaced in place of my old faulty HOX. I feel that my old one's battery management is a bit better than my present HOX. so little worried..

Uninstall both. They don't help. Adjust you brightness manually. Use wifi instead of 3g.

Juice Defender. Try it, my 1x lasts on battery for two days instead of one. I use Ultimate, but for a start you should try Basic and free version.

Is your phone unlocked and rooted? If so use a custom kernel. I get 4.5 hours of screen on time even with an AOSP Rom.

No, not rooted. If it is done, then warranty won't be applicable?

Also depends on how the law is applied in your own respective countries. Like in my country, hardly anyone customers or suppliers know anything about any law regarding warranty. Most just follow a black and white FAQ to solve **** -_-

Hi there. Are you sure you are using the latest firmware? Might be worth checking in the "about" area of settings.
Might seem like a lot of effort to go to, but if it is causing you so much trouble I would recommend a complete factory reset and then not installing any third party apps for a couple of days to rule that out.
Can be a nightmare to track the cause though - good luck!
Install better battery stats and see if anything is keeping your phone awake under partial wakelocks. Sometimes apps can keep your phone awake even if you think it's asleep.
To be honest I sync Facebook, Google Now, Weather, and such and my battery is fine. It can last me a working day with normal usage.
It's a smartphone at the end of day having sync off for me would be pointless in having a smart phone.
As a caution you can always buy a portable charger if battery is such a major issue.
So I recently installed this Rom, immediately after I saw that it boasted about having the ability to add an amazing battery life.
Now I've seen a couple of threads, and videos of guys proving this. So I was quite excited that I will be able to have a great battery life, more use of my phone, rather than just 6-8 hours.
However, after installing it last night, and charging it, I noticed today, that I only had the phone on for 6 hours, and already it was down to 11%.
I didn't even use my phone that much. It may have downloaded one or two apps, but that's it. So, I've reinstalled the ROM, to see if this will fix it.
Anyone one else used this ROM with the HTC One X and experienced the same thing?
Also new to the forum, and using roms, so be gentle :silly:
You need to let it settle for a few charge cycles

So essentially, use it till the battery is dead, and then charge it up, a few days?
Cheers.
No. Just charge it like normal. These batteries like partial charges not full charges.

I've just heard great stuff for this Rom on battery life, and it's just not impressive so far. It seems to be worse than normal.
As some of us as noticed, all sounds played on the phone have what seems like a 1/4 second fade-in effect. Which is especially noticeable and annoying when playing/doing something that plays a lot of sounds close together.
The question is... Has anybody figured out how to get rid of this effect? I tried installing Viper4Android with the hope that it might be a driver thing, but that didn't help at all. I also tried disabling what looked like a speaker protection option in the build.prop (long shot, I know), but that just caused my phone to not fully boot up anymore... lol.

Yeah, yours was the only post I saw about it a while back, and the lackluster reply unfortunately. I just can't get used to it though... lol. I'm hoping that maybe a future firmware update fixes it, or maybe a ROM developer with some time on their hands figures out something. Though I certainly wouldn't want them to waste their time if it doesn't bother them.
