Open SuperSu and select settings tab, scroll down and when you find CLEANUP select Full Unroot!
Will that completely unroot the phone? No chances of bootloop and all? And can I format my phone to factory settings after that?

Mobile Odin in the market should allow you to install anything from your phone.

My understanding is that Mobile Odin will work ONCE he is rooted (Mobile Odin requires root first). Did I miss something?
Yeah I tried it... It wouldn't open it needs root

I seem to have exactly the same issue. I am rooted and use a stock kernel but it used to do it also when I was not rooted.

But what build are you on? Are you rooted? Did you update? If so how? (Ota, Odin, cwm, twrp)
Did you try factory reset again?

You can try this if u want.
In the dialer enter this code:
*#34971539#
The camera firmware menu will open. Press the first button Cam Phone fw check
If the cam fw is different from phone fw you can then press Phone to Cam fw Write
This will update your cameras fw to current.
May or may not fix your problem, but could be worth trying.

First of all, download and install Flash Tool. After installation go to C:\Flashtool\drivers and select Flashtool-drivers.exe. Install Flashmode drivers and Xperia S drivers. Flash tool guide.
Next enable USB Debugging. Go to Settings -> Developers options (use slider to enable) -> USB debugging.
There may be need to enable Unknown sources, so go to Settings -> Security -> Unknown sources.
Now you're ready to root your device using guide from this thread. Before starting, disable Sony PC Companion (just in case).
One more thing.... Should i backup my files and do a factory reset before flashing anything? And what exactly is recovery? Oh and should i unlock my border(i know how) and if I do what difference will it make?

Regarding Recovery, read this and that.
You do not need to unlock your bootloader, just follow DooMLoRD's guide and there shouldn't be any casualties. Before starting, you can check Customization Version of your phone (check this guide).
After unlocking bootloader, TA partition will be erased. Because of this, you will lose DRM keys (and warranty) and stock SW will be no longer fully functional. You can backup TA partition, but after rooting your phone.
If you want, you can copy all your private data from internal memory before starting. Restoring factory defaults is not necessary.
Thnx so much maan for your help...one last thing...do i extract the easy toolkit wherever I like or do i have to choose a specific destination?

Mine works fine on cm11.
Try clearing Data of your messaging app.
Or maybe it could be a problem of your service provider.

I dont think it is a problem of your rom.
As u said you face this problem in every kitkat rom. I've myself tried most of the kitkat roms and didn't face this problem. i would recommend you to check your things from vodaphone customer care...if you think that nothing is wrong with your service provider you may make a clean flash of the rom.
To check whether this is a problem of your rom or service provider you can try stock rom...

Have you contacted your provider/carrier? They usually have some sort of instruction manuals to set up Messaging center settings...
Have you reverted back to stock 4.2.2 and see if it works?

I read your first post again and just noticed that you flashed DN3. Was that my port or one from a different device? I am guessing that it was from the n7105 thread.
If you hit me up on hangouts ( [email protected] ) I can help you out.

Well your backup is most likely not bad. Once we get your service back you should be able to restore everything just like it was.

Well after working with @imxsteezin I found his issue. He flashed the DN3 rom from another n2 device. I got him back up and running but warned him that flashing roms not for your specific device is bad. He got luck that it was a simple fix this time.
I guess you can flash everything back to stock and start over again
