Hi everyone!
Premise: my Xperia S isn’t rooted or something like that, it’s such as new and it still runs ICS.
Now, the problems are two:
Camera: it works correctly vertically, but when I rotate it, it works only if I rotate the pone to the left. If I rotate it to the right, display shows buttons like if it was rotated to the left.
Another thing: if I use camera vertically, when I press Home button, task manager shows like this:

Is this normal?
Video camera: it only works rotated to the left. It doesn’t work if rotated to the right and vertically. So when I record a video vertically, it records like if it was rotated to the left, and when I play the video using stock player, it rotates and can’t watch it vertically.
So, I think “Camera” and “Video Player” apps are the problem.
I did a settings reset but nothing changed…
What do you recommend?
Note: Automatic rotation in Settings is activated.

I would like to solve this problem now, because I think it could still persist on Jelly Bean.
Now, if I reinstall ICS flashing it, could it be solved?
probably as they are both system apps so will be overwritten by new with a flash/update etc

Mmmm..Ok. So I decided..I'll flash ICS,then upgrade to Jelly Bean..
I don't think you'll need to do both. just make sure you use flashtool and get the latest jb ftf file off here

Can't find it. Anyway, if I upgrade using PC Compasion, could there be some problem?
I just bought my xperia s yesterday and facing similar problem. But after update to JB the camera is perfect now.

Problem Solve
Hey! This problem is probably because of the firmware... upgrading to jellybean will solve your camera for sure, specially that the camera lag is fixed in .96 and works flawlessly. You could try this! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425192 Come back with feedback!

3.0.8-gaaa2611. that's my kernel version. I haven't install Kernel updates here. What do you mean by stock camera? <pardon for the noob question> My phone is already rooted/unlocked.
What were your instructions for rooting? (Assuming you weren't rooted before you posted this)
Your root method may have wiped everything

Check my sig to make sure you're installing the roms correctly.

A "stock" camera is the camera that comes pre-installed. Not one from the play store.
I'm on AOKP, and can confirm no such issue.
I think my camera started malfunctioning <didn't save images/videos> when I wipe data due to I forgot my screen lock pattern <yes, I forgot! WTH>. Then, I flash AOKP b29 to see if it will solved my dilemma but it didn't. Last resort was, flash original stock ROM from Google website. Now, I am back to stock ROM.
@Jubakuba: I follow your procedure before, but when I tried to re-install Titanium Backup <free> to restore apps, it didn't succeed and prompts error which is something like code:32.

then i installed some Stock XPeria Custom roms
all had same problem
so how can i fix wifi ?
i installed Wifi modules and all correctly
even on full stock it aint working
Try extract the modules from zip, place it in the right folder, change permission and reboot instead flashing zip.

The guy who sold you the phone may have broken the wifi, if you flash install stock rom and the kernel is stock then you shouldn't be having a problem with wifi.

i bought it from an official Shop
MediaMarkt in Holland
They may have not noticed it when buying it from the supplier, stock is stock. Everything works on it. To make sure you're using the correct stock rom, download Sony Ericsson update service (not pc companion) and repair your firmware using that.
Edit - have you tried using wifi in more than one place?

This is very simple and should work on many Sony devices running Lollipop. Because it is just overlay it will add an option to Settings> Wireless & Networks> More to toggle the network/carrier/operator name in the status bar. As you can see in the screenshots it is compatible with all other SystemUI and Framework mods. Just install it via recovery.

It works, but when i recieve a notification or something dissapears and when i elimate the notificstions appears again, can i fix that?

Notifications are prioritized over the network name, however the way it works for you is not the same for XXHDPI devices; Z series and other Full HD screens.
When I bought my phone, that option was habilited and it doesn't dissapear when i get a notification but now yes

Hope this can be fixed. Would be nice...
Otherwise I'll have to manually place a set of Apple Emojis into system with a root file manager, which is the way I usually do it on any rom...

Easier way is to download Emoji Switcher and select Google (Lollipop / Marshmallow) to return to stock emoji
