Hi I recently unlocked my HOX and installed custom recovery etc.
I tried to flash roms but the phone is stuck on booting.. nothing is happening..
I even left the phone for 10 mins still nothing..
I used the all in one tool kit..
I've had some experience in flashing..
But there was no such need of fastboot flash..
I tried ICJ..
did the fastboot thing but still nothing
restoring the nandroid backup now.
please help...
EDIT: Solved..
Flashed ARHD and the phone boots up fine.

If you have updated your hboot the old boot images wont work. Try flashing the modded boot images.

Its stuck on the htc screen only..
I recently updated my phone OTA to JB..
Here are the details of that
Hboot is 1.36.0000
Build No. 3.14.720.24 CL128187 release-keys
I thought about doing an RUU flash but cannot find the latest RUU..
I checked Mike's Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33308420#post33308420
but the links are sort of down for my country's HBOOT version..
I checked one other thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25018782#post25018782
Luckily i had saved the OTA zip..
Followed the method as stated.
"How to Install OTA:
1. Download OTA file
2. Rename it 'update.zip' (not update.zip.zip)
3. Put on root of SD card
4. Boot phone into HBOOT
5. Select recovery
6. Select Update from Zip
7. Select 'install update.zip from SD card'
8. Press power to select "
but it is not flashing..
UPDATE:
I took a look at the zip file I copied after the OTA..
There was a file named firmware.zip
When I opened I got boot.img , hboot_1.36.0000_.img , rcdata.img , recovery.img
Is this somewhat helpful??

Even though we have the same processor and stuff im not sure how rom compatability works between the two phones. AFAIK the kernels aren't built EXACTLY for the vivow_ct even though we use the same source (maybe idk what im talking about someone verify me)
anyways make sure you're running the correct hboot and proper recovery.
If you do have a custom recovery, try booting into it or go into the bootloader (press vol down and power) and go back to stock from an ruu
Are you S-on or S-off? What ROM were you trying to load? More info is needed than what you gave. The more info the more helpful we could be

If you are s-on you need to flash the boot.img... from your pc search in the ROM a file named boot.img and flash it vía fastboot mode . then use fastboot flash boot boot.img , reboot and let it boot

Hi I have a HTC One V. I just got it from China (I'm in Australia). It worked great when it arrived stock but I went straight ahead and rooted it, loaded TWRP_2.6 and installed a custom ROM - and no I didn't backup a god damn thing.
I now have a problem, when I load the ROM and flash the kernel the phone will boot once but never reboot, it always gets stuck at the 'quietly brilliant' screen.
do you think this has something to do with my HBOOT version? or maybe the fact that the phone is S-OFF?
I've searched and searched for the answer
some advice would be great!

Don't use TELUS_WWE that's Canada. Use hTC Asia HK 2.24.708.1, since it's from China.
I don't think it's the hboot either, other people have the same hboot and they are able to boot.
Try flashing the kernel after flashing the ROM
Edit: Lucky you with S-OFF O.O

Thanks for your help. Flashing the kernel after the rom lets me boot once into the new rom but not reboot.
I checked my CID it is set to 11111111 Maybe that is an issue?
Cant seem to get any rom to work more than once.
I tried RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_h_TC_Asia_HK_2.24.708.1_Radio_20.76.30.08350_3831.19.00.120_release_276653_signed and followed the instructions on the link below to stock the phone. The process went well however the phone doesn't recognise my Australian SIM (3three). Where as the myONE rom did.
Any suggestions?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706070
I just booted into bootloader and did a factory reset, when the phone restarted it recognised the SIM. Maybe the SIM needs to be inserted before the first boot?
Would like to try out some other ROMs if anyone has suggestions on how to do this.

I'd say try some other ROMs with the sim inserted on first boot, and flash the boot.img after flashing the ROM.
Even though you have S-OFF i'm sure there is no kernel in the zips you flash, so get a boot.img out and connect the phone in fastboot, and use fastboot flash boot boot.img
I think you're using fastboot boot boot.img

If he's S-OFF, can't any of advanced devs instructed him to get files needed to make our HOVs S-OFF?
Anyway fluxobject, if you want to try another ROM I propose U Ignorance. It needs Titanium-Kiss kernel. To download it, click download, then choose boot-TK-USB-201305210014 (i think it's the best choice... that second version of kernel with "OC" in name is overclocked to 1,496 Ghz and Undervolted in "stock")... As I see in your 1st post you know the rest of flashing kernel & ROM procedure
Type fastboot flash boot boot.img not fastboot boot boot.img..

Did you buy your phone after 2012? Also since your phone is s-off you do not require a unlocked hboot to flash the recovery. If you relock it the pg76img will work. Its the unlock that disables this method.

you need to re-unlock your bootloader. if you still have the unlock token htc sent you from htcdev then just use fastboot to flash it. then you need to install clockworkmod recovery via fastboot. version 5 or above. Then follow this guide here. While downgrading your hboot you will return your device to a functioning state and will enable your self to gain full s-off in the future should you decide to. Win Win situation
Note your rom will be changed to a World Wide English (WWE) version but after the downgrade you can flash your local RUU if needed for language packs ect.
Thanks mate! I will try and post results! I hope to unbricked my phone!
regards!
Please follow this post!

Ah forgot to mention, you should put your device into clockworkmod recovery and mount your sdcard in the recovery. I think it's in advanced or mount. Then proceed to step two. In cwm recovery mode USB debugging and shell access are both on as default.
