Not sure why but viper won't install the driver when running android 4.3.....has anyone else had and solved this issue.....I have root access and I don't think busybox matters that much even tho it says I need it because on 4.2 I never had it when installing but I did try it on 4.3 and still getting driver failed to install...this is literally the one thing that's keeps me from using 4.3.....well that and the stretched screen when sending a text.

I've found that the secret to making viper work on 4.3 are these two things:
1. Make sure you have the latest version, 2.2.1.1
2. Make sure you install and run SuperSu, 1.5 or higher...
run supersu first, then install viper, then reboot, then install the viper drivers, reboot again, and you should be good to go...
Yea I finally got mine working yesterday by flashing the supersu 1.55 zip......I already had root but whatever the problem was it fixed it.....4.3 is o e step closer to being my daily driver......now if they can just fix the stretched landscape mode

Hi. I was wondering how I would go about removing CWM Recovery off my stock s3.
My computer isn't that good and I want to remove it so I can do the jb update. It keeps saying the file signature failed and wont install and I thought if maybe I got rid of CWM it would let me update.
All help is appreciated.

Same issue here. I have CWM Recovery and the device is rooted. Doesn't seem to like the OTA for Jelly Bean.
My device isn't rooted tho. That's why I wanna get rid of it. If I was rooted I'd flash jb. I couldn't get rooted. My computer screen wasn't big enough to click ok in Odin. And when I finally did It rebooted but said it couldn't finish the root.

Flashed stock recovery. Went to do update and the update got to 24% and rebooted. Pop-up said it failed and to use kies.
Ill try again later and see if maybe a new update cache would fix it.

did you flash this 4.1.2 firmware to it or is that stock/how it was shipped? when did it start doing this?
. It was formally running JB4.1.1 then I downloaded the rom and upgraded it. I flashed it with odin.
I noticed the error when I unlocked and rooted it. But then I thought it was one of the downside of rooting

you should really be searching around in the international section if you are using an i9300.
if you have the correct ROM/firmware for your device, you could booting into recovery and wiping data/cache. then reflash the firmware, boot into recovery again and perform the 2 wipes again.
So, some people told me to install this DittoN3 rom and says that it's working flawlessly. But in the thread it says to install with TWRP but I've the CWM. Btw, can u guys instruct me how to flash it.

There's instructions inside the thread already. Just after you're done flashing the ROM and it asked you if you would like to reboot. Press no & then flash the T-Mobile modem. And then restart. & when it said twrp suggested its because cwm would keep freezing the aroma installer. I used philz touch (cwm based) & it worked fine. Just install it & if it freezes pull the battery & go into the recovery and retry to install it again. The first boot up during the setup wizard. Skip through it and when you exit out of it you're 4g will come up. The APN's are already set for it. That's about it

Thanks, I had some problems at first setup as I was not able to talk with anyone but no signal problems were there too. Weird one huh? It was fixed after second flash. I'm wondering if it would cause troubles if I overclock my CPU. and 1gb of ram is used by the ROM itself. Freaking MONSTER
Are you on the 3.1.1 build? If you wanna flash that on t889 gotta flash dn3 v1.0 and then dirty flash the 3.1.1 version to get it to boot. In aroma check n7105, note 3 launcher, pen window manager and xposed installer. Worked great for me

Not yet because i can't even make any phone calls either. Where the signal metter shows its a circle with a line through it. When i go to about phone and status it shows baseband is unknown. However when i revert back to 4.1.2 tweaked rom my signal comes back just fine and data works like anything. Just with internatioal roms i cant make calls, receive them or have data connection. Yes i do have my EFS backed up

Works well with t889
No issues!
First did Dr. Ketan WiFi patch
Downloaded N7105 3.1.1 (LTE)
Recovery> Choose N7105>
After Installation selected 'No' to reboot and installed T Mo Modem (T889UVUCMK7_Modem-Dec_9_13)
Reboot
Took 4 mins for first time setup
Did OTA Update to 3.2
Rebooted
A Min now
Downloaded build.prop editor
Did edit in Model number to SGH-T889 from N7105
Done!
If nothing else works, you could also try app selinuxmodechanger from the app store. Open and set to permissive.

I'm kinda lost what ROM your phone is at right now... Sounds like you are on 4.3 with CWM recovery, if I read right. But like I said I got lost
If on 4.3, flash the stock recovery

i317-cwm-ucubmk6-recovery.zip
Or
You could just flash this via ODIN and remove root

If you truly on stock 4.3 with only custom recovery then flash the stock recovery.
The second one is full stock with only root. Root can be uninstalled. But until the update comes out don't think we're going to really know what state phone needs to be in.

I updated my phone to 4.4.2 kitkat through odin, got the custom recovery and flashed the rooted version of stock 4.4.2. After everything was done I got my phone set up, fixed the external sd write protection and blah blah blah.
Then I tried to use instagram and it just force closes everytime, and I also tried snapchat and it wont let me play any stories that I get. This is a big problem as these apps helps past the time if im out in public or witing for class to start because these are 2 of my main apps.

Just throwing an idea out there. Maybe try Ktoonsez' KT747 custom kernel for TouchWiz 4.4.2 and see if it helps.
Alternatively, first try CNexus' permissive version of the stock kernel.

Try a reflash - you'll be surprised how annoying TW is with this.
Also, try rooting with towelroot after ODIN - it seems to work better.
