your going to need to be more specific. do you mean that it wont boot into recovery? or that the recovery wont mount properly? or you have no visual from recovery? or it wont read your partitions? or it wont tell you the time?
need more info, then i will be glad to help

I'm trying to flash the latest CWM to my htc desire and it doesn't seem to work
but when i'm in the rom manger it say i'm in the latest 5.0.2.0 but when in the recovery i'm still on 2.x.x.x

You need to be s-off. Are you?
2.5.0.7 is the best IMHO.
Are you S-OFF? If so, just use android flasher to flash your recovery.

run revolutionary, it will give s-off in less than 2 minuts
all ur problems will go away..and in case a day u get a brick, it will be easy to recover the phone if u have s-off

EDIT: or is the problem a not working recovery? you can enter recovery but then you can´t do nothing?

Its a used phone could i change the hboot?
sure you can... but you can brick your phone too doing this
what recovery do you have?
Can you make a screenshot from your bootloader and post it?

..so your phone isn`t rooted. does the bootloader show s-off?
can you boot into your stock rom?
if your are not rooted you can´t update through recovery and sure you can´t flash a rom
...and don´t use the guide i posted above!

Unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery and install super user.zip

Yes ....and ? He still has to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery, no other way !

My device is s-on and I want to install CM11 and CWM on it, but idont know how???

but I don't know how to change it to CWM....

yesterday my phone was bricked. Now I use my Desire again, but I can´t flash any Rom. It ever says something with symlinks (Status 7) in 4EXT.
If I want to update the Hboot (Revolutionary) it never finds the PB99IMG. (Yes, it´s not pb99img.zip, oder PB99IMG.zip.zip, i am 100% sure)
What can I do, I´m just not able to make it to stock.

ul need to partition ur sdcard for a2sd. use this guide

k. ul need to partition ur sdcard anyway using 4ext recovery. so do that. and sometimes when the bootloader doesnt find the PB99IMG, usually formating the sdcard first works. so partition the sdcard using that guide then try the PB99IMG again and if that dont work then u can flash the hboot.img via fastboot commands.

Did u partition ur sdcard yet? you have to do it anyway, no matter what rom u flash

windows 8.x is a nightmare with fastboot. search here on xda how to set up fastboot on windows 8.
did u try the PB99IMG again after u partitioned ur sdcard?

Yes the desire didnt found anything...
And when i want to flash a rom, i ever get the warning that symlinks are false.

have u a different sdcard u can put the PB99IMG on? im all out of ideas, the only other way is to get fastboot working on ur pc.
