I have the folowing problem after the android 4.2.2 update.
I have handcent sms as messaging application. But I also want to have the sms preview in the lock screen.
Before the android update, I had the preview in the lock screen and the handcent notification in the status bar (above).
But now I cant figure out how to do this. If I want to have sms preview in the lock screen I always have
a notification in the status bar (from the default htc messaging application) and one for Handcent.
I tried setting the handcent sms app as default messaging application, but than I don't have the preview in the lock screen.
I also tried disabling the notification preview Received notification in the notification settings from the default HTC messaging app,
but than I also don't get the sms preview in the lock screen...
So I'm stuck
Any help is welcome!

Hello!
I have installed a clear lockscreen on my Hero. So the lockscreen only shows the background and the clock, no arcs as the original HTC Hero.
But, when I have an unread message or an unanswered call, it shows up as a notication on the buttom of the lockscreen. This doesn't look good. It has a black background, and my lockscreen looses all its style.
So, any idea how to disable the notifications on the lockscreen, or to disable the black background?

I'm running IceColdSandwich 5.0 rom and had question regarding the messaging app. Is there a way to make the icon show the number of unread/new messages?
Now when I receive a text message I only get the status bar notification.

First off, I know that this has been asked before but it was in a different context. Basically, what I'm looking to do is remove some of the notifications that show up in the status bar because I'm using the Go Launcher Notification app and would prefer for the notifications to show up on the dock instead. I'm running CM7 stable (7.2.0) with Go Launcher EX installed. What I would like to disable in the status bar are the missed call notification, the GO SMS text notifications, Gmail notifications, and Facebook notifications. I uninstalled the ADW Launcher that was baked into the ROM since I didn't like it, but I'm pretty sure that it didn't have the ability to hide the notifications that I'm referring to. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I would prefer if delivery notifications for sms would not appear in status bar but in messaging app itself. I don't want to turn them off and I don't want to use GoSms or the likes. I there an app to change the style of delivery notifications?
Anyone else having issues with the notification badges?
They only seem to count notificstions in the shade instead of app based notifications. If I change launcher FB, messenher, Gmail all show the correct number.
I get that counting notificstions in the shade is a new feature, but it's a pretty awful one.
