So i switched my font via display settings and noticed my emoji's no longer work they are just represented by a square block.
Does anyone have any font apks that include emoji's?
Apparently there is just a simple ttf font file inside the apk. I should theoretically be able to edit this ttf file to add the emoji support. I have never edited font files before so wish me luck xD

I'm using Ookba's 3VO.2.50.080809 with one of the included transparent wallpapers. No other change to the original download as far as I can think off.
Then I added a font to /windows/fonts (Lucida Handwriting Cursiva = LHC) and rebooted. And after reboot some of the text I see changed to LHC.
Any ideas why that is happening and how to fix?
Also, how to delete a font file from /windows/fonts (or from /windows)? When I try this message pops up: "Cannot delete file xxxx: There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use."

Anytime you add a font to \Windows it adds itself to the font list. I guess your Lucida Handwriting font is the first on the list so it's gonna use it as the system font. You might be able to delete it using Resco or just rename Tahoma.ttf to yourfontname.ttf and copy it to \Windows overwriting.
My first font is _tahoma.ttf I saw the underscore trick somewhere to force it to be the first font on list... but that doesnt help.
Isn't there a way to specifically tell WM which font to use as default? A registry entry? Something? Otherwise one never knows what will happen when simply adding a font to list.
I used to be able to replace fonts just by moving them to the Fonts folder under System in my G1. Now i have just got my Hero and tried to do the same so i could view Arabic language but it did not work!?!?!
Any suggestion?!?!?

Excellent way of doing a fallback font! Now i can add some extra fonts for the device
Edit: For users that uses the modaco custom rom, this might not be a good solution as the DroidSansFallback.ttf font on the device is 4MByte, which includes more fonts than the ttf provided by the freely licensed Dejavu fonts on that website, which ends up giving even more "blocks" on fonts (while i tried this it disabled all chinese fonts.)
I have a question...
Is it able to use ttf fonts from my PC and putting them as a system Display font into my N2???
And no root please...

Rename file extension from apk to zip, extract contents.
I have already done that , But it doesn't work
when I apply the font it , the letters are not correctly written
BTW : the font that I want to apply it is an Arabic font

What you're talking about now it's about applying the font;
The fonts don't display correctly because ICS/JB needs fonts to be coded in a certain way - i don't recall the specifics, but i do know i could find it through a Google search.
