Firefox OS, is this possible?

Hello guys, i saw that some team port FIREFOX OS on HUAWEI G510, maybe it is possible to port this on captivate glide too? it will be great

probably very hard work, since tegra2 doesnt support NEON.
Its possible, but nobody works on it.

It doesn't need NEON, all sources are available. I worked on it for the R a while ago. Compilation takes 5+ hours on a system that needs 2 hours for a full CM compilation, because the Gecko system is huge. I don't think it's worth putting time into it yet, it's still in a somewhat beta stage.

[Q] [Help wanted] Port QRemote for other devices? $ offer

Hi all, looking for someone that can port the app 'Qremote' found in G3-G4 so i can use it in my S4mini running CM13 (android 6.0).
i want it so i can control the LG devices in my house via infared which the S4 mini has. (other options are not satisfactory)
Can it be done? if so im willing to donate towards your efforts.

theres is a cm qremote for G3 if you search on google. maybe ask the guy who did it. and it can control many other brands not only LG it has alot of them, and in G2 you can make the qremote learn a device if it isnt listed.

yeah i have although it is all specifically for lg g2-g4 phones or LG phones in general that have aftermarket firmwares, not other manufacturers devices like samsung s4 mini for example.
Although the ports were targeted to LG phones with an ASOP rom, i have an ASOP rom too so i tried various methods and experiments to install it anyway and see what would happen, but nothing in my favor (cause i have NFI, hence im looking for someone that would have a the skills to make it happen.

G4 section of development seems very very slow , maybe you will have a better chance o the g2-3 forum. ask the guys that did the one for CM

[Closed] is cm going to support MI5s?

Currently using Redmi note 3, with cm14 flashed.
If cm is also available on 5s, I think it will be an even better choice than google pixel.(considering the price)

it is snapdragon device, so i dont see why should not be development for it. also is chinese device. have to wait because device is quite new, only 2 months..

Looks like he is just flashing bgcngm his build, and reporting...
His normal remarks when he is building are different, so i dont think he is building for Mi 5 (s) :crying::crying::crying::crying:

When some developer buy this phone and xiaomi release source code, development can begun. Have to wait. This phone is only 2 months old.

There will be no CM for this device if there are no sources released by Xiaomi it's as simple as that. So probably instead of bashing people from CM for support that they cannot offer first step would be to pressure Xiaomi on their own forums so at least they are aware that people want it. I'm not saying this will change anything because as a Chinese company they probably care very little about free and open source software licences bounded with the source code they use and profit from but at least if every one interested makes a post there this issue will be highlighted. i heard xiaomi doesn't include miui's new feature on mi5s/mi5s plus's developer rom because stability is first
i think xiaomi making mi5s/mi5s plus's kernel source completely and they will release it if it completed

it's not a question of "if", it's a question on "when" they release sources. Have a little faith and patience =)

Not sure what you mean... It's pretty good support here.
Sell and get a OnePlus or something more mainstream if you don't like it.
Or the tools are available for you to build your own ROMs.
XDA is here for sharing work.
You also could have checked here before buying.
No one is entitled to third party software support and we are lucky to have so many devs working on the device.
As it gets cheaper more devs will buy as well. Mi 6 is good hardware but devs can't own every device at release price.

Not sure I changed a theme and was not able to change back to default. I posted on MIUI's forum and asked for help but only one reply which didn't helped. Other questions went unanswered too. But haven't tried on xda though. I didn't liked the fact that camera api2 is not enabled by xiaomi and you know what? I learned from MIUI forum that our notification LED is RGB but is limited to white color only by xiaomi.
Oneplus is not available in my country and even if Xiaomi gets any defect, no one is gonna repair because its fairly new here and almost everyone sees my phone doesn't know Xiaomi exists. Btw once I tried to build ROM when I had Mediatek phone and oh boi, it took forever for small modifications, learning will take long time and I don't have time for it, so no I will depend on others haha. And I hope as it gets older, more ROMs will be available, hope more like stock with less bugs, stock always have more customization from xposed.

Personally, I wanted to know why people who use the bike g5s do not have new customs roms, is it difficult to produce something like this or does anyone have an interest in our smartphone ??? I particularly see the G5 / G5 Plus line and they have great roms, some even on android 8.1.0,

Because this device hardbrick easy, no one is taking the risk

how you can see, in the last time al activity was concentrated on unbricked bricked devices
even kalyansundhar(developper of lineage)has his device bricked.
he fixed the phone now but not 100% functionaly, touch not working
hope he will continue the development for g5s
also for develop a rom, to sustain it, to upgrade it, to develop new roms is need by much time and knowledge to spend for all this
that developpers doesnt ask for money for theyr's work or else, but this g5s comunity are not abble to press even that "thanks" button for this.
i look in my thread, kalyansundhar get a fix for unbriking the bricked device
a lot of the phones was revived to life becouse of him, but none of them was abble to press that magic button(look his post with tutorial)
that "Thanks" button is a free way added by xda stuff for user to be abble to show theyr's gratitude(i beleive that doesnt exist in this comunity,only few have it)
is a free way(not cost money) just a click from mouse, a small move like this can help and encorage the developpers to continue theyr's work
even so i hope the development for g5s will not die,
how you can see, indeed the development has stopped
