HI,
I know this should be posted into development section, however I have no permissions to post there, due to 10 posts rules.
I bought this phone because I like it. And I still do.
Is there a possibility that status led will start flash when missed call or sms received?
I though it will do the job, but it shows on only when battery flat or on charger.
I quite like when status led does the job.
regards Brett
ps sorry about my poor english
Maybe when cyanogen mod be ported, i remember when i have the htc hd2 that in the configuration menu was a option for modify the led notification

Hi everybody
After a while searching, flashing and messing things up, i realized that the DHD's led is only at mid-quality level. It's even worse than my previous phone - the old G1 - because the led can only handle green, orange and red. And with some custom roms, it's hard to control your led notifications, it goes up and down every time, behaves abnormally, usually does NOT flash at all and force you light up the screen only for ensuring that you don't miss any important information etc...
So it's annoying and disappointing too.
Is there an application that can change this situation? Not be able to force the Led flashing in blue of course LOL, but it can handle the constant flashing at least? I heard about an app called "led me know" over the Desire forum, but don't know if it supports our device? And it would be perfect if there's one which can make the touch keys back-light flash as the led. Would be very amazing if existed ^^
Thanks in advance
Any one? Any ideas?
Still no one has some interest on this?

AFTER DAYS THINKING A SOLUTION FOR YOUR QUESTION, I REALIZE...
FIRST! buy THIS
then, attach this
with, (some sort of tool)
and wrap it up with this stupid thing
you will get NO COUNTER-SMARTPHONE BATTERY life, and plentiful of colors!
---anyway, enough jokes.
I remember searching something like this a long ago, and i found an app that can control the led notification, i believe is still in the market, or at least here in xda, i will try to search for it.

Light Flow Try this app, download free one first, see if it works.
LOL thank you very much!
But if there's something like touch keys backlight notification... It would be definitely awesome!!!! Like the one in samsung galaxy forum...

I can't follow you. Did you mean you set up the G1 with blue and magenta colour, or that's what you suggested me to do so on our DHD?
And for the alternative apps question, any one has an idea please????
Thanks,
Hey guys,
is there any news on this LED thing?
I also would like if the LED would not stop blinking after a while and it looks like "LED me know" won't work on the DHD with V. 2.3.5 & Sense 3.0.
Maybe the DHD need to be rooted for that?
Is there a kernel available with BLN support?
I really mis a notification led on my galaxy w, so I only see missed calls when I unlock the phone. (which often is way too late).
I guess many of you suffer from the same problems.
Apparantly, the menu and back softkeys can be used as notification led is BackLightNotifications are enabled in the kernel. It exists already for galaxy sII.
Any plans of seeing this in an upcoming kernel?
thanks
Such kernel was not made yet for our phone. And one more thing you don't make threads with question in the developer section. Questions goes under General section!
ok, will do.
thanks for the advice

I am also interested to use these keys light as notification indicator for miss call and sms.
The other option is to use NoLed app from market, but it used main display to notify the user which is not good.
Yeah, I saw that one too, but that will eat battery...

Hi
I am looking for an apo which displays the batt % in the status bar BUT DOES NOT disokay info in the notification bars.
I only want % and nothing when I pull down notifications.
Anything?
there are enough mods in this forum, where you CAN search!!!!!!!
I guess I have been clear enough in my question: I want an app and not a mod, the reason bring that any mod will prevent future OTA upgrades as it happened with the previous mod I had on 4.0.1
Allow me also to say that I registeted en on this forum when you were not yet in your father's testicles so if you do not have positive comments to give pls do not spend my time giving me hints that I already know.
sorry man

Elixor 2 works - nothing in notifications
If you want to actually have it APART of the notification/status bar that requires root/de-odex. I don't think it'd be possible for an app to do so, at least, without root. Time to root/unlock buddy.

Sure it will be. But since I work at this alone right now, I dont have the time to update all devices at the same time.
Thank for the work vanillia alpha build.

Alpha regarding the development.
I try to not release unstable roms.
But always flash at own risk :b
Is it possible to delete the su icon in status bar?
Edit: The Auto Hide function in menu Network Traffic doesnt work.

RELEASE 2 (newest) https://plus.google.com/+AndreasDanielFried/posts/BTNR38R9dQi
Enjoy
I have just installed release 2 and resorted apps. Will run for a couple of days and report back.
New UI incoming soon :b
Will be interesting yo play around with the new UI when it's ready.
In terms of observations, you're doing great for an alpha build! I have noticed that AudioFX will stop responding after a little while of listening to music on Bluetooth. This doesn't actually stop the music (or even make the music sound different so not a big issue). Secondly I have noticed the same clock issue that was present when installing custom kernels. The date resets itself and than then throws up a WhatsApp error because it knows the phone can't have gone back in time. Its already been solved by the custom kernels dev's so hopefully just a quick pull from github.
Otherwise I would say a very usable build and I will be staying on this as my daily
Requests: I would have several but one hopefully quick one would be to have the ability to hide the Root icon. That option would fit nicely in Settings, Status Bar, Status Bar Icons.
Regards,
Ravi
Will be added
Thanks buddy,
Got a few questions about where this may go?
1) Will you do any work on the kernel or will you leave that sort of stuff to other devs?
2) Any view on OTA's and Delta OTA's so we don't have to do full ROM flashes?
3) would you consider adding the ability to control the media scanner. Frequency of scan, manual scan and stop scan at boot?
4) I have reduced resolution and DPI. As such the boot animation goes out of line. Would you be able to include the coding to properly select resolution (rather than having to go to terminal) and then change Tue boot animation to the correct resolution)?
Fully appreciate that you are currently a team of one person. Some or all of these may not fit with your vision of the ROM so no worries if you don't take them on board.
Regards,
Ravi
Hi all,
So this week I noticed that my color theme, my custom sounds, etc had all disappeared. Meaning I rebooted and when I came back things like my sounds and color theme were no longer the same. The screens and icons were ok. I recall last week getting some dub prompt from HTC about fall themes but I remember clicking no.
My question is anyone have any idea if the HTC theme is what caused the change and if it did anyway to roll it back?
I am running the VenomRom and I even had set my home key to double tap and launch the sidebar and even that function got erased.
You might want to ask that question in the dedicated rom thread. Your chances of getting a reply of one of the maintainer/devs/testers is higher there. Most of the time devs never visit the Q&A section.
Thanks flippy I'll give it try. Thought that you was more about the actual ROMs than help section
Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
In theory that is correct. However, some dev teams use their threads more as support threads than actual development threads.
