Disable Capacitative Buttons - LG Optimus G Pro

Is there a way I can completely disable them? I'm using the PAC ROM, and it doesn't look good complete I have them lighting up every time I touch the screen. I would rather use the provided PIE controls in the ROM. Thanks in advance!

[Q] How to easily enable onscreen soft buttons?

Hi, I'm running The Collective's jellybean rom and while I love it, it is a tad unstable. With the occasional FC's of the task switcher.
Through using multiple options from AOKP, CM10 and Paranoid I've managed to disable the front hard buttons on the phone (including the back light) and enable the onscreen buttons as found on a Galaxy Nexus. I much prefer this to the stock hard buttons as it makes the screen much easier to one hand than before.
So my question is: if I switch to another rom, whats the best way to allow me to disable the front hard buttons and enable the onscreen buttons? I'd be interested if a single rom allows this or, even better a program or app to accomplish this.
thanks in advance, I did a forum search for "soft buttons" but nothing really came up.
Its called the navigation bar and most (all aosp) ROMs have it.
Thanks for the reply, its great to hear thats a standard feature on mostly all roms, I'll be much more will willing to flash other roms in the future. I've gotten really used to the soft buttons and I'd hate to lose that feature with different roms.

long press on lock screen slider to turn on light

Hello folks! I've tried searching but cant find what I'm looking for, maybe I'm just not searching with the right words but non the less,, I would appreciate help. Back when I was a flash-o-hollic ( going to meetings now ) I remember flashing a non touch wiz rom that had an option to long press on the lock screen slider and turn the torch light on and the off when you let go. I miss that function and would love to have it back. I'm on Slim Bean right now. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction to have back that feature I would thank you!

[Q] Disable capacitive buttons?

I'm running AOKP, and I can enable the menu bar like a Nexus. And I can disable the back lighting for the capacitive keys, but I can't figure out how to completely disable the capacitive keys. So it's still subject to accidental key presses, which is annoying.
I've read about some hack for the S3 to disable the capacitive keys, but have found no fix for the s4. Anyone have any info on this?

Aokp should have a settings menu for hardware keys where you can reassign the functions of the capacitive buttons to anything you want. Including nothing.
Sent from your phone. You should be careful where you leave that thing.

That would certainly do the trick, but I am unable to find it. There is a place to full customize the menu bar with what buttons you want and what they do, but not the built in capacitive buttons.

I'm using SlimBean rom so I can't check the menu set up on AOKP easily.
But in SlimBean this feature is under Navigation -> Hardware Keys
I cna' verify that AOKP has this feature.
I know it exists in Carbon and Slim ROM
If AOKP doesn't have it and thsi is a must have feature for you, give Slim or Carbon a shot. If you use regular Phone UI instead of Tablet or Phablet UI that is available in AOKP you will find that Carbon are Slim are VERY similar as far as available features adn tweaks.
Yeah, doesn't look like it exists on AOKP. It's not a deal breaker for me, but but if Slim and Carbon have the feature, I will definitely check them out. Thanks for the info!

[REQ] looking for screen turn on app.

hello
iam looking for application turn on the screen by remapping the hard capacitive keys. not the sound rocker or the power buttons.
any idea please?
i tried most of applications and xposed modules but not work, also all the application using the sensor, turn on the screen by swapping only which make the screen on all the time whenever the sensor moved front of any thing.
also application with turn on by taping the sensor is ok for me.
could you suggest guys?
thanks in advance for all

i tried this application but its not accurate and need to keep the device in specific direction always which is not useable.
any other suggest based on proximity sensor but taping the sensor not swipe over?
Elemental kernel and use gestures.
viperd 621 elemental kernel. dark theme.
Will elemental x work with Sprint phone running stock 4.4.2 senses 6 all stock? I'm new to flashing kernels. I've already made a nandroid back up but would like more input before I attempt to flash this.

any way to add button backlight timer to ROM without it?

Some of the Roms have a backlight timer to keep the hardware buttons lite the whole time the screen is on but others don't. The one I'm on now doesn't have that feature so they go off after like 3 seconds so I'd like to change that if its possible. I'm using an app right now but I'd like to have it as part of the ROM.
