If you dont want to install any app and want default buttons then :
You need root for this to work. All you need is some type of file explorer.
1. Go to system --> build.prop (open with the text editor)
2. Add a new line at the end :
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
3. Reboot your phone and enjoy!

If you do this you will get a bootloop cuz Samsung has disabled the soft keys in 4.2.2.
To bypass this I've modded the systemui, check my thread:

you should try build.prop method also if you are using 4.1.2
its simple and safe ... tested by me and so many people on xda

I know it's working on 4.1.2 honey, at the time the grand didn't have its own forum I had already mentioned it.
But it doesn't work on 4.2.2, and trying would end up in systemui constantly forcing close, not a big deal if one knows how to recover but still enough to worry many people.
So next time make things clear (which you didn't in your first post) instead of posting half true half wrong replies

having exams i couldnt set up adb to test on mine since i reinstalled windows(i know i can push with root explorer but i cant recover it without flashing than)

Have you used root explorer? I have used adb to put the files in my sgs2 and its working perfect.
I know its not exactly what's requested, but I just use my app GestureControl to open recent apps or to kill current app with simple 3 fingers swipe.

I changed SecPhone.apk then that is activated the call record function and also works. The Apk is deoxed! Ensures that the SecPhone.odex is deleted if you want to use my mod.

If you call someone then there is a button "Record". If it does not appear make sure that delete SecPhone.odex in your root folder and reboot the phone.

Cool I was working on that too but I didn't have time to finish it.
I'll make a flashable zip with an option to automatically delete SecPhone.odex.
I'm politely requesting for your permission to add it to my V4 ROM.
Edit: Add this zip to your first post, and I'll delete it from here.

I was using this until I went to your rom, coz I didn't know if it would work with deodexed rom.. It will be cool to add this to v4.

I use "call recorder" 1.3.9, it works perfectly and automatically. I recommend you to use it.

I don't have the phone but a friend of mine sent me the framework-res.apk from XXAMA2 [4.1.2], i think. If you have other firmware version, upload framework-res.apk so i can mod it.

Can confirm guy`s it really work`s, Fantastic. Go to Lock Screen Settings and it`s enabled in there. It also work`s with DMOD v1- based on BenzROM.

I've changed my mind on this.
Extended powermenu all gone, and longpress powerbutton only made hot reboot.
Had to run command to power off. Restored apk from BenzRom and everything is fine :good:

I just tried to flash your scrollable launcher n the 4 way reboot,it said I succefully flashed it but when after rebooting there not there...I flashed them both wiped cache n davlik n then rebooted but nothing there...did I do something wrong here???

Try not wiping after flashing. maybe wiping screwed up the flash!

Im not a fan but it is alot less wear and tear on your power buttons people can over use the power button and it can jam and or break from overuse

This is exactly why I need volume wake. In my power button is wonky and sometimes sticks for a second. Not sure if my case has something to do with it but volume wake would help reduce the usage of the power button so it doesn't permanently get stuck... I've tried editing use/keylayout with party boy's guide but no luck.

I flashed the volume wake mod with/ reboot and no go for me. I'm on stock, rooted, & not deodexed. Does that make a difference ?

Im presenting fix for Auto rotation sensor in CM 11.
1. Download attached file, extract it.
2. merge lib folder to system/lib.
reboot ur phone.. hope it will help you.

Download Zip and extract it to your desktop or anywhere u want.
1-copy the content of lib folder and paste it to system/lib.
2-copy the content of lib/hw and paste to system/lib/hw. and reboot ur phone.
It's not working. I've followed the steps exactly. After rebooting, I get error message saying that systemui has stopped working. If I press ok, it will appear again and again. I then have to reboot into recovery and fix permissions to get rid of the error message but even then the sensor does not work.
This is too much hassle I feel and think I should revert back to Nokia's stock OS and get launchers to get feel of stock android by rooting it. This way I have access to google features as well as stock feeling of android. This way all features will work including camera.
Anyone knows how to restore to the stock Nokia? I did not take any backup when installing CM11.
i have slow internet so cant upload whole zip of cm11. btw if u want to go back to stock use nokia care suite...

do one thing...
1-extract ur cm11 zip.
2-download lib.zip from attachment extract it and paste lib folder to extracted cm11.
3-now rezip ur cm11 folder.
4- now flash ur rezipped cm11 and wipe data cache and dalvik.
must give feedback..
