Very good idea, but totaly useless, at least in this version. Constantly asking for permissions to connect to phone.

I'm on JPU 2.2.1 rooted with CF
It didn't ask me anything (Chrome) and it works like a charm!
edit: it asked me once.
@Spline1: Samsung apps within your phone!
edit: works fine on XXJPX stock. It asked me once (chrome).

JPP stock,every move of the mouse on computer and phone ask for permission to connect, although "remember for today" checked. As I said: good idea, but useless for now. Probably in future firmwares...

Like it, permission asked onetime, browser firefox 3.6.9, newest java (u will need java runtime)

Slick app!!! Only asked for permission once here (Chrome + JPU).
A little bit slow to load everything, but I assume that's either my network speed or PC speed (it's a dinosaur)
It does so much! If It synced everything to the PC that would be better though...

It is much slower than the usb connection but it is tolerable (I'm using wifi N but I'm not sure if this makes any difference) and I like the interface, I mean the whole layout + you don't have to usb connect to your computer and partialy charge the phone or loose the battery stats .

Is it possible to update firmware with kies air?
btw: for this forum, i would suggest having only about 3-4 posts per page. Additionally, why not increase the size of avatars, buttons and signatures. Seriously, the amount of information on this forum (in terms of screen size) compared to the useless rubbish is appaling.

SMemo in I9000

Hello everyone, if not the right place, but I mention my project.
I am installing SMemo (Note original) on my I9000. Assistant screen. SMemo open perfect but if I try to create or edit a note I get the following error "com.sec.android.widgetapp.diotek.smemo"
I am very interested in this app. I would be very useful if you could help.

I think we will need the correct libs. From galaxy note.

i found a S memo apk,it can install and successful .
but when s memo run and go to first screen, it can't be used for any function

What so special in S-pen, AFAIK it is just an ordinary Stylus? Isn't it? That shouldn't be a problem.

Galaxy Note uses wacom digitizer to register the input which can read pressure level for the magnetic S-pen.
Now back to the topic, smemo without spen pressure level reading would be no different from skitch+evernote combination with capacitive stylus.
I've got to mention that smemo can be used with fingers however it's not really accurate and you lose benefits that spen provides.

It is not ordinary stylus.Its some sort of electronic pen.I remember reading it somewhere.

I think you have to get the lib files from Note and put it in correct directory might work.As said in post #6

If the libs are designed in such a way that they only detect the spen's touch then someone gotta modify the libs to work with human fingers.

Just try putting the lib files in your phone first.Lets try our luck.If it doesn't work let the dev do there job when they find time.

I don't have a note so I don't know which libs they are, gift me a note and I'll tell u the name.

Aside from finding the correct libraries, we have to change the resolution of the application. Our Galaxy S have 240dpi and S-Memo have 320dpi. Here you can download the smemo240. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361462

Why you want it ?
In case you want to change it,you can do it with launcherpro or ADW launcher.
Many docs are available online for download.

[Q] Viper DHD ROM questions (2.3.0)

Hi,
since I can't ask in the ROM-Thread (fewer than 10 posts), I'll open this one.
1. Is there a way to disable vibrating when using the four soft buttons?
2. Can I change the "whole-screen-recent-apps-list" to the AOSP one? In the AOSP list I can select other apps to close without scrolling (it just has to be on the screen).
3. I'm using Tasker to enable airplane mode when connecting to a power cord and disabling airplane mode when the cord is plugged out. This worked 100% on stock 2.3. But with the Viper ROM it just works about every third time. Does anyone have a clue how this comes?

PS: This is a great ROM and the first one which really replaced stock 2.3 for me Thanks to the developer team!

But i think this is best asked in the ROM thread. As i saw you were using ViperDHD rom go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960734&highlight=viper
As your problems are not general DHD problems but might be ROM problems.
And btw "searching everywhere else" for some just means asking a friend. But it can also be someone has devoted 72 hours of googling and sifting trough XDA, we just dont know.
But i do hope you can get some answers, I would've searched for you but at the moment im working on something myself. (Figuring out howto chage the status bar to my liking. )

Underline Spelling Errors in Red

I have google keyboard which used to allow red underlining of spelling errors. I am vzw stock unrooted. Since update I cannot get it to work. Is there any special combination of settings that will give me red underlined spelling errors again? I do not want autocorrection. I want red underlining. Example below

I have this problem since i got phone. After updates, everything is same, still no spell checker. I tried many keyboards but i still have that problem. The most of keyboards dont use that feature because usually, phone need to have it.
As i can see, LG doesn't have spell checker, and they try to make it with lg keyboard.
Did you solved this issue?
At attachment you can see that option is selected and text in email.

I tried the g3 day it came out and red underlining lining did work that day. I don't know what is happen since?

I don't know what can be a problem, but its incredible annoying! There are many topics but non of them have answer. Few people complain and everything finish on that.
I read same things on reddit and few more portals. At the end, no one come out with solution or information did they fixed it and how.

My gibberish reply with d-j was me using google voice to text

How and where do you access that additional features menu?

You have settings > Language and input > Lg keyboard . You can find settings on right side. But no metter what you add there, spell checker will not start to work. Maybe is only for me.

. If I find it I will do a system reset and try again. One guy on android forums claims his works but I couldn't get him to post an example and he won't answer my pm
