This is from the AT&T E980.

When I downloaded it and went to install it it would not install so then I moved the apk to my system apps in rootbrowser and it replaced the stock one and it was all messed up it would force close and when I got a text it would put a red triangle at the top of my phone and it kept saying something about SIM card are usim don't know I checked the permissions and they where right I rebooted still messed up so I sent a smiley and it still went as a mms so it replaced my stock sms so I had to restore on cwm unless I did something wrong
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
This was from before the value pack upgrade, if you already did the upgrade, it will mess up your phone. Also, you don't need it if you are using a AT&T phone, it is the same, just a different modem.
If you want to make it work, this may not have the permissions set correctly. Also, when you try it, take your stock messaging .apk and change it to .bak, then add root browser to your lock screen in case of an issue you can go right in and delete it and change your original that is .bak to .apk and all will be fixed.

Stock Messaging App for LG Optimus G Pro
I have an LG Optimus G Pro F240S (running on 4.4.2 KitKat) and whenever I try to text and hit the "SEND" button it shows me a toast message saying "Wrong return number" but whenever I receive a text in a pop-up window, while Im using my G Pro, I can reply to the text through that pop-up reply option and then it sends the message just fine.
It's a weird problem (whose solution is not mentioned anywhere) I know so instead of wasting more time searching for the solution I figured why not just get the stock messaging app (UniMessagebin.apk + odex) and reinstall it
So guys can anyone of you please upload the stock message app for LG Optimus G Pro F240S on 4.4.2 KiKat
The E980 message app does not work on my F240S and plus it's outdated and for below 4.4.2 Android version

As Tim4 pointed out in a different thread, and I confirmed, 4.1.2 is officially released in Korea. I also noticed that this official release (ver. 20h) is slightly updated from the leaked version (ver. 20f) at least for the F180L device.

You cant download the flash .apk from play store for JB device.
So you need to download it from other source, thats the only difference.

I think that cause F180L basically its CDMA device so detecting WCDMA network as roaming.

Now it should not ask about local or Korea call. If it still asks about that you might want to check roaming settings, disable something there.

Google Home Launcher. Files and instructions. Should work on most Jelly Bean phones.
Download the files.
1st - PrebuiltGmsCore.apk (Google Play Services) first.
2nd - Velvet.apk (Google Now)
3rd - GoogleHome.apk
Place the lib file in System/lib folder and fix permissions (owner , group and others should be checked under READ)
(ONLY owner should be checked under WRITE)
Reboot.
Thats all I did. If OK Google doesn't work do this.....
Settings - voice - offline speech recognition- install language of choice. I use English. - switch to english UK and perform a search and then swich back to normal language. That shoult make everything functional. If not.....I tried. Works for me!

Thanks for the icons. However, the backgrounds aren't transparent. Could you perhaps provide us with versions with a transparent background? Thanks again.
are the apk being installed just like regular apk's or are they being pushed to a specific folder?
Nvm got it to work, looks like it has potential, it would be good if we could set our own settings for the drawer and if we could hide certain apps

This hack is awesome. Makes the ROM 2 x faster.
One other question,
I've noticed on my home screen tile it doesn't have number indicators next to the stock e-mail and SMS icons to show how many items are unread. Is this by design? Any way to fix this?
i believe that is how its designed.. hopefully they will add that feature at a later date

Hello, I am on Cloudys ProII ROM on the sprint network. I used the method to backup my APNs and restore them and install the go sms app to use my sms, and everything works great! Though I would like to use the default messaging app, and when you do this you get a "No USIM card" error and it prevents the message from sending. Does anyone have any ideas or possible fixes?

I've been getting the same issue... The ROM doesn't take into account that we don't have SIM cards, like other brands of the same phone...
I also get data cutting off on me (3g) after about 5-10 minutes of usage, rebooting fixes it.
Any luck?

I have an idea! Im not sure about how the cloudyflex rom zip is set up but i believe the problem is there are some files/apks that are either wrong or missing. Sim tool kit... is that in the common area on the rom zip? If so that would possibly be different for sprint. And I think the messaging app might be the same thing. I will test this theory when i get home unless someone beats me to it.

I believe the eri xml could be the problem. If you're on Verizon you should be able to find a compatible framework and pull the eri xml file and put it in the cloudy framework. Do a backup because this is just a theory.

Decompile your cloudy framework and put the linked xml in and then compile framework again. Then put it in a zip and AFTER you make a backup flash the modified framework.

Hi here is the dialer from newley released android 4.4.3.
In my opinion has a nice new UI
Just install as a regular app. Tested on xt1032 CM11. SHOULD work on any 4.4 ROM though.
Please Note. This will not replace the existing dialer, unless you manually copy to /system/priv-app/ and set permissions as -rw-r--r Then delete dialer.apk from same folder. Reboot. Done.

Confirm on CM11 it works, but calling screen does not show. not receiving, not making calls.
Pushed manually to Priv-App, keept standard CM11 dialer, cleared data and cache on both = Google 4.4.3 dialer works as it should!
**THIS IS NOT MY WORK... SIMPLY PULLED FROM INTERNATIONAL ROM!!!!**
Install Instructions:
1. Go into a root explorer to system/priv-app
2. Find "SecMms_Blue.apk" and "SecContacts_Phone_FLAGSHIP_USA.apk" and add ".bak" to both of them
3. Now copy and paste the ones you just downloaded into system/priv-app
4. Rename BOTH of the apk's to what they are supposed to be named (ex: SecContacts.apk should be SecContacts_Phone_FLAGSHIP_USA.apk)
5. Set permissions to RW-R-R for both.
6. Reboot and enjoy!
