Hi all!
I flashed LegacyXperia using Clock Work Mod as suggested by
NEW!!! LegacyXperia bootanimation:
Just flash the HDPI zip file in CWM Recovery

My bootloader can't be unlocked so as far as I know I can't change the kernel. Now the phones wifi is really buggy, sometimes says it's connected but actually can't do anything. Any suggestions? I tried flashing the stock wifi modules but it didn't help.
Did you flash the rom or boot animation
?

The bootanimation. It's not possible to flash boot.img with a locked bootloader, right?
By the way, I have trouble logging into this site. I use a random password generator and store it in Keepass 2 and when I try to log in it says wrong password.
Actually what is the issue?
Wifi, bootanimation or flashing?

By legacyXperia, what rom do you mean, cm10.1 or cm10.2 ?

@TheHaso He just flashed the boot animation from LX, he is not on LX ROM. He should be on stock ROM or stock based custom ROM.
@swishbucket1 What ROM are you on? Flashing a new boot animation should not do anything to the /system partition unless you did something wrongly or flashed another mod.

Oops I think you're right, I thought the instructions meant the entire ROM could get flashed. So is there no way I can get LegacyXperia with a locked bootloader?

There is no way to install LX on a phone with locked bootloader because CM based ROMs need a custom kernel to work properly. You cannot flash a custom kernel on a phone with a locked bootloader.

You'll have to unlock your boot loader and see THIS
yes i have done this but this is only a temporary Recovery ?
the general idea is, recovery/cwm is only available on certain kernels i.e. DoomKernel, blend kernel, and cm7 kernel, or via adb.

It needs to be run from the computer every time using that method. xRecovery on the stock rom is what I'd prefer but don't mind using the lappy as I'd only use recovery 99% of the time when I'm at home anyway.

Hello guys I'm new here. Just rooted my phone last week (Sony Xperia Acro S LT26w) and i want to install CM10. I managed to install CWM recovery without unlocking my bootloader. I used this filefrom the post reply of Pims83 at this thread. I installed CWM recovery without unlocking the bootloader because everytime I try to run my LT26w into fastboot it always ends up in usb charging mode, Blue led come in like 3-5 seconds and will disappear. My question is, can I install CM10 to my locked bootloader LT26w using this method?
Nope

Hey guys can anyone tell me how to install cwm in my xperia ion.i recently rooted my jb with locked bootloader.

Doomlord is working on that to make one for us. Right now there is no way for those who has Locked Bootloader to get CWM (including me). So we just can wait. If u want something to install, maybe u can just copy it straight away to system and change the permission.

In my case, when i installed CWM @ locked bootloader .55 FW, the CWM didn't work properly. So I suggest you to unlock bootloader & flash doomkernel which is pre loaded with CWM and TWRP.

Pushing the files to the system and changing the permissions is hectic than flashing through recovery. If any error happens it can result in unexpected accidents.
You can unlock the boot loader (u will lose bravia engine) and flash a custom kernel using flash tool.
In the development section you can find some cool kernels with build-in recovery.
If You don't want to unlock , then wait for someone to make a recovery for phones with locked boot loaders.

Try flashing a kernel that has CWM recovery on it, provided you have an unlocked bootloader.

First flash stock Kernel, and then Relock, If you relock/upgrade your FW, before reverting to stock kernel, your phone might soft-brick..
