Hello i seem to be having problems transferring movies to my xperia s when its has 5 min left to transfer i get error could not move or device may be disconnected tried many times even with different wire
that is a issue with the xperia devices
you could try SD MOUNTER, it mounts as usb mode and it doesnt sleep when copying files

Hey guys i am facing problems with the sony ericsson pc suite. Majority of the times i am unable to connect my mobile to my laptop. It does not recognize my mobile when connected via the cable. I am using Windows 7 and i am running 2.3.3 firmware. Is this a known issue or is there any problems with my device? any help will be appreciated.

When u connect ur phone to ur pc,ur phone will prompt u usb connectivity connect via memory card or media transfer,just select connect via memory card and then select connect.

I'm facing an issue when I mount an external flash drive to my nexus 7 using a simple USB OTG adapter. When i plug the external memory in, the flash drive's LED indicator lights up, which means that it's powered by the tablet, but the device itself doesn't react whatsoever and when browsing with ES I don't see any external drive. What am i supposed to do? My nexus 7 is entirely stock and no root, so i don't void the warranty.

ES won't see the drive - you need to use a 3rd party app like Nexus Media Importer to access it.
Yeah, I got total commander plus a paid usb otg plugin for it and now I can use it normally. Turns out Nexus devices can't boot external flash drives on their own.

When my USB port wasn't broken I didn't need any additional apps, I just plugged my USB drive into my OTG cable then into my device and it was instantly recognized. If that doesn't work for you try usinh Chainfire's Stickmount.
You could try OTG helper but that requires root access...
If the light is coming on you should be able to use it. You are just going to need a 3rd party app such as "file explorer".
I can understand the worries of voiding your warranty but you may need root access if you are going to trouble shoot. If things go bad you can always unroot your tablet and take it back to factory settings. WuGFresh's Nexus Root Toolkit has a nice feature on his windows program that does that automatically for you!

Drivers
Drivers could be the issue
If you are on windows 8 or higher, this is the issue
to make sure of this, connect it to a windows 7 or xp machine, if the device is recognized then it is a drivers issue almost guaranteed.
Edit: it works. Ignore this post.
I wanted to see if I can plug my hard drive in so I can stream movies from LocalCast. I plugged the hard drive in and it was recognized, but I can't seem to find the folder. My guess is it's just not compatible, but I wanted to make sure before I give up.

hey all,
transferring over usb cable gets me up to 1mb. when i use usb adapter, i get around 7mb. is there a limitation in the phone itself?
card is a class 10.
