Sd card damaged? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

So I have had my s4 for 3 months now and am on my 3rd 32 gig sd card. I had used my first with my s3 with no problems for 8 months then it went bad after the first month in my s4. Bought another sandisk off amazon, and within a week started getting an error reformat sd card randomly untill the phone just wouldnt recognize it. Bought another lexar brand this time, and now after 3 weeks I am getting the same error randomly. I am wondering if anyone has ever seen this before, and if so how can I avoid going through more cards, or is it just my phone.
Thanks.

Someone just posted that there was a bad batch SanDisk. Contact SanDisk, if your card is in the bad batch they will send you a new one.

Bad SD card???

Something is fishy with our SD cards (both my wife and I), since they've somehow seemed to "go bad" about 2 weeks apart. We both have the S3 16GB and I bought two 32 GB SanDisk cards for our phones. Everything seemed fine until about 2 weeks ago when her card went out, then last night my card seems to have gone bad too. All the phone says is it's "safe to remove the card", can't access the card in any way. I currently can't find my adapter to test the micro card in my laptop, but I should at some point. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this with their SD cards?
I had a problem with my 64gb Sandisk card that went bad duing a rom flash. I have EASEUS Partition (can be downloaded free) installed on my PC and the partition on the SD card was missing. I reformated the partition using FAT32 and it has been fine now for over two weeks.
Just a note I now remove my SD card when I flash ROMs. I know it should be safe but it takes a few hours to rebuild 58gb.
This phone fried my 16gb card
What class sdhc is it?

My 64gb SanDisk errored too within the first week. Formatted and working since. Mine stopped working when I changed a battery (yes, the phone was off).

where did you buy the card? also what class is it?
I'm having the same problem with my 32gb sandisk class 4. it was working fine on my LTEVO but the moment I put it on in my GS3 the card went dead.
32GB Class 10 PNY formatted to FAT32 has been flawless for me...and I've used the same sd card in two previous devices (E4GT & Evo LTE)

Class 4 SanDisk and I bought them on Amazon. Wasn't a bulk type card without proper packaging either, it arrived in the mail packaged like what you would see in B&M's. In any case, I'm going to need to locate my adapter so I can attempt to format them.

If it is screwed like mine then the adapter will do nothing... my card is completely fried

I find it hard to believe that there is actually a "bad batch" of SD cards from SanDisk... I have a friend that also has an S3 (Verizon) that said his 32 GB card (not sure of the class) went bad as well. It would make more sense that the S3 is somehow making them bad or not recognizing them anymore. However, most of my assumptions may just be wishful thinking.
I had some problems that I think were more CM9/exFAT support related with a 64gb UHS-1 card. I used this to format it and it's been fine since

32gb card not working

Im 100% stock, bought a new 32gb card and i can see the card but it keeps giving a error saying its corrupt. I tried to format it several times and each time no luck. I put it in my tab and no issues so idk what the problem is... can anyone help?

try TWRP 2.3.3.1 Recovery
I Have same problem with my SGS3 in CWM Recovery with 32 GB class 10 Micro card.
Maybe try TWRP 2.3.3.1 Recovery (that works with my 32 GB Card)
Who made the card? I have had bad luck with 32g class10 SanDisk cards with this phone. Just bought an adata no problems so far.

I had a Sandisk 32gb Class 10 card I got back in November do this to me about a week ago. I quickly backed up the data off of it, put it on a 8gb card and it's been fine since. A card should not crap out after only 2-3 months.
Sounds like a bad card. Just return where you got it from and get another. I have a 32 Sandisk with no problems.

I had the exact same problem with a Sandisk 32gb Class 4 card - died after 2-3 months of use. Luckily, I was able to back it up on my PC before it finally gave out. The guy I ordered it from is exchanging it, but I'm concerned that the same thing will happen again.
EDIT: Looking at one of the reviews for an SD card on Amazon, a review has offered some great suggestions to check the SD card is authentic and can perform up to standard (i.e., if labeled a Class 10, reads/writes at 10MBs/sec). Full review can be found here.
One program is an app called SD Tools by Veluscek Ales (available here). It verifies the card information and helps to determine if it's fake or not.
Another free program for the PC is called H2testw (most current version as of writing is V1.4), and this tool will perform read/write tests on the card.

Yeah be careful with online SD cards. I've bought 2 in my lifetime and never will again. I will only buy from Walmart or any local retail store like staples best buy etc.

I bought mine from wally world and it didn't work straight out the box in my phone it works fine in my Xoom. I'm not sure why but I'm going to wait awhile before I try again.

32 GB Sandisk micro sd ultra 1 question

So I've been reading on these forums that the 32 gig causes the unexpectedly removed and remount error. I had one and it started to do that with my new note 2. I sent it for replacement and while I wait I wanna know if its a problem with the phone? Or the sd card? Should I try a different format if it does it with this new card?

I planned to take this one from deal extreme, free shipping but if I could have problem then I couldn't change it.
Mine has been working fine since I got it in early december
Do I have to format this card? I read somewhere that guy formated card with some program in fat32. After that formating card was working good.
Buy the Samsung 32gb microSD card Class 10. You won't regret it. Almost half of the Sandisk 32gb microSD's cards (UHS-variant) are either malfunctioning and simply defective out of the box. You can refer to Amazon if it helps you decide. Cheers
My 64gb u1 works fine.
Just buy from a place with a good return policy

Ok so I thought installing openscript from goomanager fixed it but the problem came back today. Also having unexpected remove issue with Sandisk Ultra 32gb card.

I'm coming to believe it's an issue with the Sandisk 32 uhs-1 card!
I even formatted it as fat32 but the problem is getting worse.
So I sent in my card and had it replaced (amazon) and it's been working fine.

My Sandisk 32g card also got fried, and I'm trying to recover data as we speak. I bought a Samsung and its nice and smooth with no problem.

64gb sdcard replaced 2times but

Hello guys. . I have sandisk 64gb class10 card. As we all are aware of problem, it just lasted 3months then frequently unmount n bad card inserted n all those errors
As sandisk cards carry lifetime warranty, so I contacted customer care (im from India) and they happily replaced the card for free (just courier fee of rs.30). I have replaced the card 2 times but still those errors but less frequently this time. I have transferred the data to this latest card but from noon I have got errors 2 times. So, friends what do u suggest ? Should I get it replaced 3rd time or should I accept the fact that 64gb is total failure on note2. Please suggest..
Also is there any way to count how many times card was unmounted while screen is off?
Sent from my BE(a)ST.. Samsung Galaxy Note2

Does Note 3 kills SD Cards like Note 2 ?

Hi guys I was wondering if the Note 3 had a problem that I had in my phone. I had a few SanDisk SD cards in the past and for some reason my Note 2 always ended up killing them. It killed 2 32GB cards that I had in it. After, some time I would start getting errors about the card being unexpectedly removed and the PC couldn’t see the card or the data on it. I wanted to know if anyone has had any issues with the Note 3 as It seems from the research I did it seems to be an Issue between Samsung phones and SanDisk cards. Also I forgot to mention I used both cards in previous phones before the note 2 specifically an HTC Evo 3d and an LG Esteem.
I’m asking because I saw there having a sale on Ultra SD cards for SanDisk on Amazon but I don’t want to spend the money if the cards will be destroyed I as looking at the Class 10 Ultra 32Gb cards.
So far the best cards I have had luck with are Class 4 PNY cards but I was really looking for cards that would give me more speed. The Note didn't kill a 8GB PNY or a 32GB one yet, so it seems this might be a SanDisk problem.
Any Thoughts ?
I used a 32GB SanDisk Ultra for about five months of moderate to heavy use before it had problems. I reformatted the file system, restored a backup, and moved it to a secondary device and it seems to be fine. The replacement in my primary device is a 32GB PNY and I don't think I've had any problems with any PNY cards over the last several years. Both devices are Note 3s.

Oh wow I just saw they make class 10 cards now. I will get that then. I'm just to paranoid about Sandisk now.
I have PNY class 10 cards. Maybe it's a new thing for them.

I've been using a 64 gb sandisk mSD...in the note 3 for about a month now and in my ancient r800x for over a year before i got my note 3....havent had any issues even at near full capacity (only have 5 gbs left lol)
I have filled up my 64gb from SanDisk in my note 2 for a year and half, then got this phone on launch still pretty much full lol.
And while it was on my note 2 I was running the script to make my internal storage as the external SD card.

Being full isn't the problem -- it's the number of writes that could cause problems. Some manufactures have more errors than others.
