android app.zip
samsung app.zip
(copy to custom/ folder)
Go to recovery
Select "ULK and AIORK setting" menu (last one).
Select "AIORK" menu (last one).
Content explanation:
"common" contains "1 base rom.zip" (base for all rom, NEEDED)
.........................."2 base app.zip" (base app for all rom, NEEDED)
"custom" constains "3 jXX frameork.zip" (framework for each versions, at least 1 is NEEDED)
"kernel" contains different kernels, see name. (ONLY aiork kernel contains AIORK menu, if you use another kernel, flash AIORK kernel when you want to reflash your rom)
"mod" contains mods (currently gps fixes, and jpm lockscreen)
"modem" contains jpm and jpp modems
"theme" is empty, but you can add your own theme here.
Note:
Base rom will erase old app/framework folder.
Framework jXX will erase old framework folder.
Base app are barebone app, you can add android/samsung app to it (flash android/samsung app AFTER base app) or you can use the market to add missing app.
Extra note:
Works only with froyo!
Will NOT wipe your data/settings (but after 10 flashs, you should wipe data/cache)
Can be used WITH lagfix ! (not recommended but works, after flashing the rom if you had any lagfix the ULK menu will popup saying "config differs", select "remove old config" you will be lagfixed as before flashing.)
Spare parts, busybox, root, superuser, sgs tools, sgstoolbox and launcher pro are included. (you can uninstall them if not needed)
See post 2 for reference/info
(need to clean up this page, sorry for bad look)

Apply "kernel update.zip" from recovery with CW or 2e recovery (need to be renamed update.zip)
Usage:
Boot into recovery,
select "ULK and AIORK menu"
select "AIORK"
select an option:
"Install rom (common)", (install base rom)
"Install modem (modem)", (install modem.bin)
"Install kernel (kernel)", (install kernel)
"Install custom app (custom)", (install whatever you want)
"Install mod (mod)", (install mod)
"Install theme (theme)", (install theme)
"Reboot", (reboot the phone)[/I]
How to install rom:
Download and extract the rom pack on you root.
http://www.multiupload.com/603NI211U8
You should have:
sdcard:/aiork/common/
sdcard:/aiork/modem/
sdcard:/aiork/kernel/
sdcard:/aiork/custom/
sdcard:/aiork/mod/
sdcard:/aiork/theme/
You can add .zip in folders.
How to cook your own parts:
Kernel:
Download "kernel template.zip"
Open archive with 7zip
Replace "zImage" with your kernel
Put the file on "sdcard:/aiork/kernel/"
Modem:
Download "modem template.zip"
Open archive with 7zip
Replace "modem.bin" with yours.
Put the file on "sdcard:/aiork/modem/"
Custom/theme/mod:
Download "custom template.zip"
Open with 7zip
Make your changes (it uses phone file structure, so if you create an "app" directory and put some apk here, when you ll install the custom file it will write in phone://app/ etc...)
Put sdcard:/aiork/*your choice*/
NOTE:
This is just for testing purpose.
It does not wipe your data.
Kernel and modem are already in the provided "common" rom so dont worry if you see the redbend_ua screen.
Kernel in the "common" rom provided is not AIORK kernel, if you plan to use the kitchen after, select the AIORK kernel after you applied the rom.
AIORK kernel provided is base on ULK 0.4 kernel so lagfix works.
For kernel cookers: you can add the AIORK to your kernel easily
Download "recovery.zip"
Extract, place it in /initframfs/out/sbin/
Make your kernel.
Rom pack uses DocRambone v7.5 for testing purpose, so NO SUPPORT, if you get errors use retail Doc version.
Pack contain v7.5 JPO, patch to JPA, modem JPP and JPM, medium and full app pack.
Thanx to Sztupy, Cyanogenmod, Koush, Supercurio, Aery, DocRambone and everyone I forgot to make this possible.
FYI (deodexing rom):
Flash fresh untouched rom
Get xUltimate script (from droid forum)
Update smali/backsmali jars (from google project)
Connect your phone (usb debug mode)
Start main.exe
option 5 (pull all/ deodex all)
Copy missing apk from orig_frame to done_frame, same for app
Use template FULL.zip to add and flash deodexed framework/app
NOTE:
template APP jp6.zip contain an empty system/app/ folder, add your deodexed app here. When flashed it will wipe the app folder of the phone.
template FULL jp6.zip contain empty app and framework folder, add your app and framework deodexed here, when flashed it will wipe app and framework folder of the phone.
xutil.7z contain xUltimate script with updated smali/backsmali jars do deodex roms.

The project:
Create an All-In-One rom package where user can choose wich rom/kernel/mod/theme to install.
Motivations:
I love to switch between roms/themes/kernel/mods and it take me times to install and try something that fits my needs. So I wanted to created some kind of all in one update where we can choose what we want to install.
How to:
Basicaly, every roms use commons files like applications/settings etc... but custom/themed rom use files that differs (because these are custom roms...) so I was looking into a lot of rom to see how they were built and managed to find "common" files to every roms that we'll call "common files".
Then to these "common files" standards roms use standards app, and customs roms uses customs apps.
Then we have mods, and kernels that can differs depending on the cooker preference.

Great idea, franklin01.
I'm looking forward to test Your project
love the idea
+1.
Attention all OCRF's there (Obsessive Compulsive ROM Flashers -like me for example) you will have a FLASHING time with this ROM.
Looking forward to this.
kind of kitchen a la modaco or samdroid
but better
will it take online kitchen - hence bandwidth ?
or dl the parts and use local tool to build ?
nice work
keep doing
It will be a monumental task to have this going. Many of the roms are more or less specialized and even mixes of different base roms.
And the bugs introduced will require a big amount of support. But i look forward to this
Good idea, thanks
I had the same idea but I'm no developer so I have clue how I could have done this lol...
Can't wait to try it
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Well this is a BIG work but I am confident, I am currently testing with JP6/JPM rom using doc barebone rom as a common file and darky raw steel as custom file.
So common files and standard/custom files are ready, theme and kernel is ready for test too.
Menu editing in CW should work too but I got problem compiling CW in the kernel.
I tried ndk-build and make but cant compile so right now I am stuck here.
I ll search on google to find how to compile CW modded in kernel like there is in ULK.
Hey franklin, the one thing that CAN put your ROM could be a minor detail.
On the Top of the screen, coming from right to left, Battery->circle, Signal strength->circle, 3G/H->circle.
Signal strength, kind of a circle divided, showing green or yellow/red.
After that all circles.
Can you manage THAT? If you like this IDEA, mention me.

Well I think it is possible but I am not a dev anyways, just some guy repacking things.
But I ll look to see if I can do something about that.
(may need to edit framework-res , find the original signal bar icon and mod it using the battery mod icon so it should be possible but not until tomorrow)

This AIO ROMcould be the climax of all OCRF's
All circle:
This is just a test, it is awful but it works so if someone want to try/edit/make something beautiful feel free to do.
How to:
Get system\framework\framework-res.apk from your phone (using adb or root explorer).
Open it using 7zip (or winrar but 7zip is better to repack).
Extract res\drawable-hdpi\
Edit png you need (open to see which one is)
Then put things back to the framework-res.apk (using 7zip, drag and drop modified files)
Put back framework-res.apk to your phone (using adb, root explorer or update.zip method).
Here is my moded all circle awful mod... tested on JP6/JPM and the update works with CW and 2e recovery (rename to update.zip).
WARNING:
Can damage your phone as usual (well if you have JP6/JPM it works fine, no worries) but can also damage your eyes ! (it is just a test, I am no artist and this mod is awful... should not edit with mspaint)
About all in one rom progress:
currently cooking some kernel to see if I can make this work but have to do it on another computer, atom 1.6ghz are not made to compile kernels...

Looks WAY better than the one I wanted you to see.
But after someti,e. my circle battery disappeared & the original samsung one came on.
& I have a black bar, so inverted would have been good for me.
I love this.
Hi,
everytime I want to flash a new version of a rom I have to modify the zip file contents, i.e. delete some files etc, which is a very tedious process.
Thats why I created a little tool for Windows (requires .NET 3.5) that can do the following with a zip file of a rom:
- Delete files
- Add / Replace files
- extract .apk's, decompile them, modify (regex replace) inside text / xml files within, recompile them and put the updated version back into the rom zip.
The tool is still beta, so there could be many errors if you don't use it correctly... always make a copy of the rom zip before using this tool on it
The included apktool (for decompile/recompile of apk) requires JRE 1.6 and only works for Android Jellybean roms / framework-res.apk's - but I think you could just use another apktool version for different Android versions.
Included in the package is a sample configuration that is basically exactly what I am using. Of course you can change what files to add, delete and modify. Also there is a screenshot attached so you can see what it looks like - as you can see you need to have some basic knowledge of how android rom stuff works, I don't think this is useful to total noobs, sorry.
If you have any problems / suggestions feel free to write here.
I hope this is useful to someone
Regards
Abomb
Changelog:
1.0: Inital release
1.1: Some error checking, not all errors will be caught but at least some basic ones.
1.2: Files to delete and apk's to modify can now be selected from the zip file via file browser
1.3: Log during modify operation and bugfixes
1.4: More bugfixes, plus the settings are now stored in the image of a cat
This looks like it could be useful. Thanks for sharing.
Great!!! easy to edit a rom for me
Thx, great job.
New version 1.1 with some error checking released.
Version 1.3 released with the following changes:
- Files to delete and apk's to modify can now be selected from the zip file via file browser
- Log during modify operation and bugfixes
Last version don't work with last nightly CM10 and Jellybro when trying to modify Navbar DPI.
ZipTest Error.
Sorry for bad English.

Yeah I noticed, the problem seems to be thatthe zip file contains some folders like "a" and "A" - which is no Problemon Linux, Android etc, but does not work under Windows I haven't found any solution yet, but I'll try to find a fix for it.
Hello guys,
8 years after the release of my 4.1.2 rooted rom, I retrieved my 101 xs and I updated my rom. So here it is, an updated 4.1.4 rom, rooted and optimized that you can install now (don't forget to make backups of course).
I mainly got the tweaks from BlueAndroid: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2073859
What I did
Retrieved build.prop enhancements and init.d tweaks from BlueAndroid
Updated busybox to 1.32-Stericsson
Updated CA certs from my recent Samsung phone, because the stock ones were expired
Removed ui sounds completely, I dislike them
Added custom host file for blocking ad servers
Added Viper4Android 2.4.0.1 (was Awesome Beats on 4.1.2)
Added Sony Walkman (music player)
Added Mixplorer v6.57.1 and MixArchive
Added Seeder (entropy generator to reduce lag)
I didn't do any UI tweaks (I'm not good at this). If someone wants, just do it. If you want to build your own version of the rom, I've made a script that builds the patched rom from the stock file. It runs under Linux or WSL. You'll have to download mkrom.zip and androidmerged.squashfs. Unzip the zip and place the squashfs file in the same directory. Then run mkrom.sh, and if everything goes well you should get a file named archos.ext4, ready to be installed (see Installation below).
Also I tried putting more recent versions of Google Play Store and Archos apps in the system/app folder, but when I did this, the apps were not working correctly, so I left them as their old versions. If someone has an explanation, please tell me
Download
Version 1: Archos_4.1.4_Mwyann_1.zip
Installation
I'm just gonna copy/paste BlueAndroid installation instructions here:
Install Developer Edition if you didn't already
connect USB cable & check if USB debugging is already enabled !
put archos.ext4 in your device ( root directory ! ) , or using adb command :$ adb push archos.ext4 /mnt/storage ;
go to recovery -> Developer Edition Menu -> Remove Android Kernel ( if exist ! ) -> Flash Kernel & Initramfs -> copy here zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo in the new drive that appears !
OK -> wait to reboot -> enjoy the new rom
Don't hesitate to tell me if it worked or not, and what you think of this.
Hi!
I have tried to install it, but when I restart the device it just do not want to boot.
It freez ad the Archos logo screen!
What I am doing wrong!
I have dongraded my device to 4.0.26 version.
After that I have enabled the USB debuging.
Than I have installed the SDK version from Archos web site.
Restart and paste your firmware.
Restart again and flash the zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo (deleting ar not the Archos Kernel - no matter the result is the same - freez).
And nothing. Any help?!?!
Thanks!
PS: May be there is something wrong with your zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo files, because with the files from this post it works.
So it did work with the new zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo files? It's possible I just took the wrong files, from 4.1.1. I'll update those files soon.
Edit: Files updated to 4.1.2, should be fine now.
I will trythis method on the 97xs
Great It is ok
if you use the 4.0.26 !!!
doesn't work for me, "Usb connection : please copy a zImage and an initramfs, then press ok to disconnect" i used adb to put
THANKS for your THANKS :good:
Bump to this thread, because I've updated it after 8 years Enjoy a fresh 4.1.4 rom, rooted and updated as far as I could.
What you will need:
Basic tools
- Notepad++
- ZIP manager tool like 7zip
Advanced tools
- Cygwin
- smali (assembler/disassembler)
- APKTool/APK Multi-tool
Lets Begin:
Download a ROM (we use CM in this guide) of your choice (don’t forget to get the permissions for it modding from the developer) and extract it. When you extract it, you will see at least two folders and one file
Folders
- system
- META-INF
Files
- boot.img [this is not present in defy/defy+ ROMs so don't worry about it ]
NOTE THAT I AM ONLY GIVING DETAILS ABOUT THOSE FOLDER WHICH YOU CAN REMOVE/EDIT
THE \system\bootmenu\2nd-boot\ FOLDER
In this folder you'll find the kernel [zImage] file of the ROM here you can change it with the one you compiled or by others.
The Tts folder
The ‘TTS folder’ is all about Text-To-Speech. It contains all the files needed by the Android system to get Text-To-Speech working. If you are removing the TTS feature from your ROM, make sure you remove this entire folder and the TTS related apps from the ‘system folder’, as this will save a lot of space.
The WiFi and Usr folders
The WiFi folder contains the drivers required by the WiFi module to function. So i strongly recommend NOT to touch this folder. If you delete any file from this folder, you will mess up the WiFi functionality.
The usr folder contains some miscellaneous but very important stuff. It may contain anything and everything needed by the Android operating system. For instance, this folder contains all the key-mapping. If such files are messed with, your device will be non-functional although it will boot.
The Build.prop
The build.prop file is pretty self-explanatory. Here, you can change the most basic things, like the android version that setting shows. Wondered how people are making 2.3.4 look like 4.0.3 in settings? Its build.prop. Also, you can change what ‘About phone’ shows here.
Other things, you can change things like, how long your wifi scans, how much battery your phone saves while in sleep, Dalvik VM heapsize and default ringtones. If you are wondering what # stands for, it signifies that, the particular line is commented out, and the system does not read it. You can use it add comments to the build.prop. This helps others understand, what is the function of a particular tweak.
A guide for some basic build.prop tweaks can be found here.
Please be aware that, these build.prop modifications are not universal. So, you will have to experiment with the tweaks and their values.
The META-INF folder
This folder contains instructions for the Android Recovery about how to work with the files present in the zip. This folder contains many folders, but the only one we need to edit is the update-script file.
Making Flashable ZIP
In order to create a flashable zip, first zip the ‘system, META-INF’ folder and the ‘boot.img’. Let’s name this zip as ‘update.zip’. Next we need to sign the zip. Get a signer here. Put your update zip in the same folder as the signer. Then run the ‘signer.bat’ file. This will sign your zip file. After the signing process is complete, you can change the name of the zip to your liking.

Hi all.
before anything :
- this tool is for especialy for dualbooters because i havent tested in 1rst rom. but updater-script manage kernel flashed. prepare odin in case of bad flash, you're advised.
- always make nandroid before use and flash with my tool.
I saw that ppl have many trouble to install 4.4.2 kitkat roms on their device.
it seems that we have manu such "error status 7" , and these were about setting persmissions during flash.
so i decide to make an aroma to avoid this error.
if you flash an original 4.4.2 Kitkat rom and have the error, no need to flash another compatible recovery kernel to re-try, just use my aroma flasher with the steps i descride below. In the aroma advanced MENU, you will choose set_perm commands compatible flash instead of set_metadata commands persmission to see if flask process will work in fine
Sure, at end of process, a kernel will be flashed, dorimanx branch 8 i have put in pach you went to donwload, or another you have put instead like i describe in extra step 6 below too.
so, AROMA structure details is like this :
pach/AROMA
---------backupEFS <------- useful script, no need to touch.
---------KERNEL <------- place here your boot.img file. (original rom or other)
---------maliv2
-------------system/lib/egl/ <-------- maliv2 .so libs contents, no need to touch.
pach/data/app <--------- you can put som apks here, moved from /system/app/ (i often move in latinIME.apk from /system/app/ and then i free 40Mo on /system/ partition, its good for GAPPS)
pach/META-INF/....../ <--------- no need to touch.
the available download pach i use for some months now , is here :
UniversalAROMAinstallerFOR-4.4.2-ROMs-DefinitivePach.rar - 8.53 MB
how to use it
1 - download any kitkat 4.4.2 ROM your want to install I9100.
2 - try it normaly, and see if you have error on flash.
3 - when you got it, on PC, make a safe copy ot it somewhere, and open it with WINRAR. Then delete META-INF and other boot.img file. just let system folder in ZIP.
4 - uncompree my AROMA somewhere.
5 - drag and drop the 3 "bolded" folders (in aroma structured details) in ZIP rom you still have opened.
extra step 6 : in AROMA/KERNEL/ folder, you will find dorimanx branch 8 version (new @StanTRC recovery inside) i have put. You can replace it with any boot.img you want , even those from original rom zip you have safely somewhere on your PC. just extract boot.img from it and replace with in you new aroma installer rom zip you went to manage in steps 3, 4 and 5 .
aroma choice you will have :
"Compatibility of your Recovery Kernel",
"Your Kernel is compatible for set_metadata commands"
"Your Kernel ONLY understand set_perm commands"
"choose your based KK similar rom",
"AOSB BEANSTALK C-ROM EHNDROIX"
"CARBON"
"CM11 JELLYBAM"
"SABER PAC"
"PA"
"Resurrection Remix"
"SLIM SPIRIT"
"NEATROM AICP"
"SOKP"
"Backup EFS",
"Backup your EFS folder before flash"
"Skip"
"Kernel to flash at end of process",
"DorimanX 8 and MaliV2"<---------- option that serve to flash MALIV2 for dorimanX branch 8 users, dualbooters.
"any other kernel"
EXTRA TOOL : .db qulite bases "wiper" , it delete some .db files in some /data/data/com.android........../databases/ folders, usefull when we flash from <> based 4.4.2 roms, CM11 , RR , PAC , SLIM, PA....sometimes worked fines for me.
"Delete some SQlite .db files in ROM",
"YES ","Delete some SQlite .db from you installed rom to avoid com.android.phone FC or other FCs"
"NO thanks we can FLASH the ROM"
again, this is just for test and fun , dualbooters will like more that "normal" users. no risk to flash kernel in 2nd rom, but remember need maliv2 during AROMA....and i always afraid someone that try my work on 1rst rom will brick its device.....so i advertise everyone that before upload my "daily" works, i'm not always flashing them on my 1rst rom.
thanks.
How to use the pach
Hope image tuto are good readable .
1 - open ROM.zip with winrar
2 - delete some folders in ROM.zip
3,4 - what to copy from my pach to the ROM.zip
5 - explain about structure and tweak .
no image 6 - just flash new ROM.zip with my aroma.
thanks.

i have made one pach with onle play store and google services , with others goodies, but i can re-script it with gapps. give me a way to follow what you think ppl need the most .
i mean this one, but i'm on some research about better way to use it, tomorrow i will post good version.
I9100-Aroma-addonsFor-KitKat-4.4.2-ROMS.zip - 180.81 MB
this one is that one i use in video review, you see i NEVER have trouble with space /system/ partition because initial ZIP ROM is modify with some apk in /data/app/ during flash, so i can add more goodies in /system/app/ using this aroma with play store, google sphere and touchwizz i use....see tuto how to move apks from /system/app/ to data/app/ before flash the rom and then gain space on /system/ to flash more files without disturbing /data/app/ we never want to full wipe to.
AND REMEBER external .sh script dont work well with dorimanx new recovery, i mean move choice in aroma so its better to have space in system before use and not use these options during aroma (i mean options to gain space)
thanks.
