Edit: I emailed the creator of the trinity kernel and he said it most likely won't be on the 2013 nexus 7... So now I'm wondering if the Franco kernel will be

It will be coming once they get closer to stable builds so we don't have the keep changing the themes with updates.

Which is the best in your opinion? I'm still looking for one that is as smooth as 4.1.2-4.2.1
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
There is no best. You need to figure out which one is the best for you, and your particular ROM.
The problem in 4.2.2 is not the kernel and the kernels work on Galaxy Nexus phones. Also best kernel / rom threads are discouraged.
