[Q] CM 10.1 and 10.2 hboot 1.72 problem - HTC One X

I have an HTC ONE X
I'm trying to put to my X cm10.1 or cm10.2 and the installation is being aborted with error :
assert failed: getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.28.0000" || getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.31.0000" || getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.33.0000" ||
getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.36.0000" ||getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.39.0000"
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-10.2.20130829-NIGHTLY-endeavour.zip << or /sdcard/cm-10.1.2-endeavour.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
My hboot is 1.72.000 maybe I must downgrade form this hboot becouse is too new ??

I think you have delete the line that checks for hboot 1.72 from a file somewhere in the meta-inf folder
Edit: found it on an older thread, open the rom zip on your PC before you copy it to phone and Remove the line in /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script that tells it to look for that hboot. Thanks to @Whoareyou for that info
Put the kettle on

Either remove the lines that check the HBoot version altogether, or edit the 1.28.0000 text to read 1.72.0000 in the update script. It then works.
This has been covered already in the CM thread several times.

Worked ... Thanks.

[Q] Unable to install CM 7.2 installed due to build.prop error...

Hi guys, need some help here.
Trying to get the CM 7.2 installed on my Verizon R800x. I updated the firmware to .89 (had to relock by bootloader to do so). I then tried to do the fastboot flash boot boot.img and got the kernel to load, but now when I try to install the update.zip from the CWM download I get the following. I unlocked my bootloader again (using the original method from ashergray like fastboot -i oem unlock 0xfce... etc) and tried again. Same result. Any ideas?

AndroidME CM10 Install problem

I am attempting to install AndroidME CM10 v1.3.0 but I am getting the following message in recovery:
assert failed: getprop ("ro.product.device") == "maguro" || getprop ("ro.build.product") == "maguro"

I am able to install Jelly Belly v3 fine so I can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong with the AndroidME rom. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

LT15a Unable to install custom rom

I get the following error when I try to flash CM and I read around people saying to "flash stock" but I downloaded LT15a arc_v2.3.4, 4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic America.ftf and it won't flash via the flash tool (dragged and dropped into the window and it just fails to install)
Does anyone have any suggestions on which stock rom I need or a way around this?

Thanks for the reply. I actually tried that before posting and it just gets stuck at the sony logo on boot.
-Flash via sony update service
-Flash kernel 562
-Doomlord root
-flash 587 kernel
-install CWM via flashtool
-modify the buildprop
-copy to SD
-Reboot recovery
-Installs & fails to reboot properly

That's because you haven't flashed the FXP kernel.

Ok, so I downloaded the kernel and when I read the guide it says put the phone is fastboot mode but I have no idea how to do that and when I try to reboot into fastboot via flashtool it just reboots the phone normally (cmd adb reboot fastboot = reboots the phone normally) . When I use the command fastboot flash boot <kernel>.img it just says waiting for phone.
Anything else I read just tells me to unlock the bootloader (which I did via zerg rush)
I really appreciate the help but this phone is a co-workers and I am trying to install a custom rom for them and I hope to get it done ASAP so they can get it back. I never had this much issue with my Gal S & S3...
To use fastboot you must first unlock your bootloader.this cannot be done via Zergrush,only rooting your phone can be done with Zergrush,now,put the 4.0.2.a.0.42 file(unzipped)into the 'firmwares' folder that came with flashtool then press the lighting icon to flash your phone,when done,use Zergrush to root it and install x-parts from the market which helps you can install CWM which you need to install a custom ROM.

[Q] HTC One X, boot loop problem.

Alright, so after the latest HOX update I had some issues with Sense so I decided it was about time to root my phone and flash some custom ROM. I successfully rooted it, picked my ROM (CyanogenMod), did everything according to instructions, did a backup, wiped everything, started flashing.. and the flashing failed. I've got an error saying:
assert failed: getprop("ro.bootloader") == "1.28.0000" || getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.31.0000" || getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.33.0000" || getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.36.0000" || getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.39.0000" || getprop ("ro.bootloader")
The installation was aborted, so I decided to restart my phone and just leave it for later. What a surprise, phone got stuck on the 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen. I went to recovery mode, tried to restore the data, but that didn't do anything.
I'm quite a beginner, and I'm worried that I might not be able to fix this without help. What should I do? Right now I'm unable to even turn it off, it always turns on and remains on the startup screen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
You have to open the updater script file in the aroma installer and replace the 1.39 with your bootloader number. Probably 1.72 or 1.73

i've applied the firmwares in this thread so that my unlocked phone works on tmobile. my bootloader reads as:
Code:
C:\Users\IncogNegro\android developer toolkit\sdk\platform-tools>adb shell getprop ro.bootloader
T999UCALJ2
i keep trying to install stable roms from here using this guide. i have successfully upgraded the bootloader by following all the steps under the section titled "Installing a custom recovery on Galaxy S III (AT&T)". as a result, my recovery is CWM v6.0.3.1.
i've even gone as far as editing the updater script by removing all the assert tags. when i try to install, the installation fails without ANY ERROR MESSAGES.
what is the big deal!?
I'm having the same problem as well, My phone is rooted im stuck on stock 4.3 and really want to try the new custom roms out there.
