Hi,
Got the P6 last friday and loving it but I do have a few issues,
1, What updates are there? I have B106 and was wondering what others there are?
2, When I have my headphones in the volume is very low, Even when volumes at 100% I can just about hear it which is disappointing as I love using my phone to listen to music.
Will our P6 get the next android update (Key Lime Pie) ?
Sorry If i sound dumb, I'm used to custom roming Xperias and Samsung's, Not used to Huawei aha
Headphones in the volume is very low
Hello!
I also have a problem with the headset.
His voice is very soft, and I'm angry that such a phone is all he knows.
I was looking for this solution but have not found anything!
Maybe that other phone owners do not listen to music through the headset?
Unfortunately, the firmware is (B111) did not solve the problem!
I hope you get the info for Huawei developer community and soon solve this big problem ...
DSPpro already tried - did not work
PowerAMP EQ player or set high, it worked just distorted ... etc.
Nothing worked ...
Sorry for my bad english, I hope to understand what I want to say.
I'm from Hungary

I've bought some bluetooth headphones, and these are much louder than headphones plugged in directly. Denon AH-W150. Previously, the volume through my loudest wired headphones was just too low even at maximum volume level. Now around 75% volume is as loud as I need, any more becomes too much.

I saw this method but although I have rooted other phones before I do not want to root my P6 as its on contract and I don't want to void my warranty just in case something breaks and I need to have it repaired.

I don't know that I've ever owned a phone that was easier to root than the P6 (using the Eroot method). If you want to hide your root, a factory reset gets it back to factory settings without any signs that you rooted.
How is gaming on p9? Does latest, haviest games lags? I heard that this quadcore of it isnt that great.. Somebody said even real racing 3 lags a bit.. I have galaxy s plus with cm 10.1, and with proper kernel i can play real racing, gta, etc.. What about p9?

P6 not P9 and It really depends, Normal games work perfectly (Subway Surfers etc.) And latest games work okay as well, It all depends on the game that you want to play.

Temple 2 runs smoothly, Not tried real racing but I did have Need for speed most wanted installed and it did lag a little, Still playable though, Im not one to tolerate lag but it wasn't to much, I also think its down to the firmware on the device, Others say that the P6 handles 3D games very well. :good:

This B111 version drains my battery very very fast. Do you guys have this some problem?
With the B104 i can make a workday or in the weekend almost 2 fulls days with a full charge. (weekend only standy by, work day lots of whatsapp and some calls).
Since I installed B111 the battery is drained in half a working day. Or completely emtpy in weekend from 10:00 until 23:00.
I did the update OTA. Do you guys recommend installing it again from SD-card? Or is this a commen issue with this firmware?

Hi all,
I currently have a Fascinate on Verizon and am sick of the issues it is having. It seems a large number of them have memory issues and it's constantly restarting and bootlooping at an empty battery screen. Long story short, I want to buy a used Play. Mainly for two reasons. One, I want a working phone, and two, I love playing emulators but hate on-screen controls.
How are you folks liking the Play currently? How are the ICS ROMs running? How is emulator performance (PS1 specifically) on ICS ROMs? Does the gamepad work on ICS ROMs?
Thanks for your help; I really don't want to switch phones for something worse :/

I got my Xperia Play for 169euro in Vodafone IE, so i think it was the best value android phone ever! But i was worried becouse how come Vodafone reduced 500 euro price to 169, i thought it must be crappy phone! But after bootloader unlock and flashing .58 firmware + TrueAncestor Rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546134&highlight=true i think this phone is great! Works fast and smoth, battery for me is long enough too, around 3 days for some wifi use, text and calls. Im not playing so much but i used keypad on GTAIII or Shadowgun and it was good fun! I hate using touchscreen if I played some game ever More likely i flashed few Custom Roms but the best working ICS ROM for me is AokPlay! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582118. So many options!!!!!! and theme manager and many many more! good luck!
I wouldn't because in terms of performance, it's not an upgrade from your old phone, just install cm9 or something and keep using your phone till your contracts up :O
I don´t know If I would buy it again, it´s the best phone ever, BUT, it´s the WORST built quality I´ve ever seem, and I´m serious, it´s the cheapest plastic on a mobile I´ve ever, after 1 week only some cracks appears on the plastic, it hapenned twice, when I first bought it, and after I sent it back and received a new one, they both had the same problem...
Really a shame, it´s the perfect smartphone, with the worst material, don´t know why Sony did that...
I have dropped mine a couple of times but there are no cracks at all...

Damn. Even with the ICS upgrade? This is crazy because I had an Atrix 2 for a while and with 1gb of ram you'd expect it to be okay. But this is that and 1.5ghz dual core.
But for $65 is it worth it? I mean in my city, there's lots of cheap and good phones. But this is the cheapest in its power range.

I think it depends phone to phone but on a super light usage day I might get 12-14 hrs. On my normal usage like 5-6hrs even with wind kernel and cm10.1. The major plus of the phone is that 2years later it still has one of the highest ppi's available.

To root v20c use this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
This works 100% as long as it is installed to c:/ and don't run as administrator.
However if you want to install cwm to install custom ROMs and tweaks (recommended) use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044645
This will allow you to install a variety of ROMs that are based on stock that will offset better battery life including game playing. At the very least install wind kernel in addition to better battery life it removes security from the boot loader so you can uninstall bloatware without bricking ie. Google Play movies.
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
The battery drain is for me the biggest issue. But with wind kernel and other roms it is much better. It depends on what you want to do with the phone. When you play all the day, yeah then you will charge often. But other phones have same problem. I bought an extender battery. By the way the phone is better in my hands weight of course a little bit higher.

There are a few bad apples out in the wild. They are from the original batch that came out in 2011. But they are just fine in gingerbread. Sorry about your luck man.

Performance-wise, I went from a Galaxy S III to this phone, and the UI is decently smooth on the stock ROM. On CM it's pretty laggy unless you use Wind Kernel, which makes it a lot smoother. The screen is very sharp - I actually like its screen more than my S III.
However, I've had some bad issues with overheating on this phone. During normal use, it's not an issue, but I've had the phone shut off or reboot during GPS navigation, and when I felt the phone it was downright hot, especially on the back right where it says "8MP HD" below the camera. It got so hot that I couldn't touch it. Battery drain when under heavy load (games, GPS navigation, etc.) is also pretty bad. My 2 amp car USB charger can't keep up with it during GPS navigation, and the battery will still drain even though it's charging.
I've had the phone for a few months, and it is a decent phone overall, but I'd explore some alternatives.
I decided to go with an alternative. I got lucky and found a real good deal. I'm amazed myself. Thanks everyone for your input.

Maybe LG can`t or doesn`t cheat as good as HTC or Samsung with benchmark tests Lag is most of the time user app related by apps/widgets running in the background and slowing down the cpu.

Keep dreaming. Samsung will never give up the S-LAG function (It's there since the original SGS and still there in the SGS5)
I was pretty fed up with the lag on the S5 and now I'm pretty Fed up with the lag on my G3 Damn Koreans, can't you learn a page out of HTC, Motorola's or Nexus book.
I don't get it either how can they release flag ship devices with UI lag or any lag. I guess it's our fault buying it...
Anyway, I still have a faith in LG. They will fix it or ART default in the next Android release will eliminate it (Hopefully. Other brands have much worse cons with their products).
