well ... i kinda suspect dat but the problem is the unlock touch is faster wen i chose to kill apps on lock and unlock ..
i fell its like the phone takes too much time to load the system .. well i dont know but is it even possible to effect the touch behavior
of the device ?
its like the first touch is unregestered only works wen i touch the screen for second time

[Q] Screen rotates very very slow.

Hello everybody!
I bought yesterday a Galaxy Nexus. I’ve rooted, installed clockworkmod and the ROM Android Revolution HD™ 1.3.1 | High Quality & Performance | GSM.
The big problem which I found till now is:
The screen rotates very very slow. (web browser, photos gallery, pdf documents…) with everything.
Sometimes even don’t rotate. I have deactivate all screen animations and the same duration. (2 seconds or more)
My nexus s was much faster with a beta rom with android 4.
Do I have an issue? Do you have the same problem?
Thanks in advance!
With stock rom is all so fast and smooth.
No problem at all.

Not sure how people are saying it's fast on stock. To me it's anything but fast... it's slow as hell.

Agreed. Sometimes I have to shake it after I turn it for it to even do anything. The accelerometer needs tweeking in the stock rom.
its very laggy .. and if that was " google choice " then i think it was a bad choice!
Can you guys quit repeating that google intentionally put a delay in it.
I noticed this as well - i'm quite aware of the difference between the screen not rotating and there being a delay.
There's something really quirky that's causing the phone to not recognize sometimes, I thought the new update fixed it but alas it didn't.

No, because it is a fact. There is a purposeful rotational delay.

So your screen doesn't accidentally rotate from holding it at a slight angle.

When it works right, after about a 2 second delay - it rotates.
But sometimes, it just doesn't work, I'll hold it for 10 seconds and it won't rotate like the phone didn't register it, so I have to turn the phone back and forth and the accelerometer seems to wake up again and works.
Does no one else get this behavior?
Im running the stock rom, no animations either and my screen rotation isnt all that speedy but i prefer it to my galaxy s which rotated at the slightest tilt of the phone. At least the proximity sensor on this phone doesnt lag like the GS did. I hated having to wait for the screen to respond before i could hang up the phone LOL.

See this is different.. I have not experienced this and had no idea you were talking about this. The delay on rotating the two seconds that you observe is intentional.. can't say not rotating at all is something I have experienced though sorry :/

Screen rotation is VERY poor on mine. Im not talking about a "lag". Sometimes there is no rotation.
Same here, if the screen is touched it rotates and behaves normal.
Please click the star here:
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=22561
Not noticed any issues with mine, on stock or with android revo HD 1.3.1.
Then again, it really pissed me off when my old phone always rotated with the slightest turn. Hated it. Had screen rotation turned off most the time due to it.
Only time I do like to see a landscape view is in videos, where the 'delay' is not really an issue.
So I guess I'm one of the few people who can thank google for implementing such a useful feature.
But seriously, who uses landscape often? Why?
That said, I wish the lag upon pressing the recent apps button was removed.

[Q] Screen calibration (not horizontal)

Hi to all,
I checked this forum and I can't see similar threads. If it exists just merge it or post a link and close this one. Thanks.
My problem is that I recently bought Samsung Y and for now I can't use to its touch grid. I used HTC tattoo before and it was everything ok with using its touch grid. With Samsung i always must touch slightly up and left than "I can see it needs to be touched". I red in some forums that you cannot calibrate screen because Samsung have some algorithm for autocalibrating but for me it isn't working. The phone has horizontal calibration but it is not what I need. And this problem I have with all applications not just with keyboard (although it is annoying when you type one SMS for a long time!).
Please help me if you can. I rooted my HTC, and if it helps I can root Samsung too, but I can't see that that would help.
uhmm try going to the settings then use the calibration tool..lay flat your galaxy y on a flat surface and press calibrate..this works for me.. ;-)

Like I said in Subject of the thread, I do not need horizontal calibration. :-(
I think the best solution is send it to Samsung service centre since you still have the warranty.

I think that the calibrate function under settings calibrates horizontally and vertically as well.

Just purchased my nexus 7, kindly help!

I need to know few things for now please
I have applied screen protector and cover on it .
When i am holding the tablet the touch is responsive and fine, but when i keep it on bed/table and view in landscape mode fixed in the cover . And when i touch or want to slide notification bar from above it becomes very un responsive but then also responds from same spot where i am touching the screen after some touches .
But could it be because of clear screen protector ?! I still think screen is fine as 10 point touch test app works fine , but i feel its a great screen but cheap quality giving such issues and that's the best it can give .
Or some sensors interept while in landscape or google tried to made it too intelligently to use it in right positions manner only? When holding it or should be holding it only while using it . (i dont think so) .
Or is the whole story something else ?!
Other than this, its flawless and i am loving it!
And please do let me know how can i make htc media link dh h200 work on it please ?!
Would highly appreciate the help on this please!

The touchscreen issues are a well known problem with the N7. Luckily there is a way to fix it. I just got around to it 5 minutes ago and all my touchscreen issues are gone. Refer to this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428133

thanks I went thru that thread, but I don't want to unlock or root this as its just 1 day old and I might not ever want to unlock as its all amazing , and its practically fine.... as there is no ghost touch issues,etc.. its just that it wants me to use more of my thumb in landscape on this cover : http://postimg.org/image/k1jn5arkv/ (and when I am not holding the tablet) than my first finger if I want to slide down notifications bar or right side bar ... hope they'll fix it in future anyways ....
But please answer and help me regarding dg h200 media link ??

There is no way to fix it without unlocking. Seeing as this is a developer forum, you can expect most solutions to require unlocking and/or rooting. I would suggest at least unlocking now so if you decide you want to root in the future you won't have to wipe a fully set up tablet. It's super simple- "fastboot oem unlock" and you're done.
I don't know anything about the media link.

Knockr Brings HTC’s Motion Launch Functionality to Galaxy SIII

Guys I just wanna inform who dont aware of great news, htc features successfuly working on our phones
App working well on Galaxy SIII
Copy from xda portal post
One of the most interesting proprietary features of the HTC One M8 (2014) is undoubtedly Motion Launch. For those who aren’t familiar with Motion Launch, it essentially allows you to wake your device from sleep and launch certain apps with a few easy gestures such as bringing the device into a particular orientation and flicking your thumb on the screen.
As interesting as Motion Launch is, the feature is unfortunately limited to the M8. Luckily, XDA Forum Member Acela1230 created Knockr to bring some of the same functionality to various other devices. Now before we wet started, it’s important to note that Knockr is only meant for OLED devices. This is because the application keeps the screen “on” even when it is off, in order to accept touch input. This isn’t really an issue with OLED devices, as a black pixel requires next to no power.
Knockr currently supports several gestures including double tapping the screen, swiping in a particular direction (up, down, left or right), long pressing the screen, and pressing the volume up key. These gestures can then be defined to launch applications of your choosing or unlocking the screen.
So if you’ve got an OLED device such as Samsung’s or Motorola’s recent offerings, head over to the application thread and give Knockr a try.

It DOES work. S3 have an AM-OLED screen. I tested it and works well, the negative side is deep sleep (phone does not enter in deep sleep because it is awaken all the time by making the screen on but all black), but it is very interesting

yes it is working it have some bugs but its working
i don't think that the phone "dosen't go to the sleep" is a big problem in that case because AM-OLED screen don't consume much power when they are in black mode, just like the S5 when you use the power save mode it turn every thing black and white so that screen don't use much power to save battery
i have use that app like 2 days now and battery draining is not noticeable at all, the Rom i use ( imperuim rom ) hold 23 hours in standby mode when i used this app its 22 hours 20 min i mean u can give a few min of your battery life to this great app

After check again...is working good...! My apologis for my wrong..!
Just an idea : Why isn't there an app wakes up the screen when we swipe our finger over the menu & the back capacitive buttons starting from left or right (forget the physical home button)?
This is a feature in kernels for phones without a physical home button known as the Swipe 2 Wake feature...

Note 4 Mini-S6 10.0 Final version KitKat

This rom is good for battery and performance.... If not which the best rom for battery for Note 3 neo SM-N7505?
I'm using that but it has some issues. Makes my phone switch off when screen is off and I have to take out my battery to reboot. Otherwise, that rom is just fine. Lemme know if you got a solution for the switching off bit.

I got it fixed by flashing stock 4.4.2 twice, after second time the problem was gone. Then I flashed Note 4 Mini-S6 and this time no wake up problems. Seems like a very nice rom so far!
What do you mean by "white everything"?
