What do you guys prefer?

Jelly Bean..4.1.2 to be specific. Runs well for this limited device. Sense is bloated garbageware imo..wont use it. 4.2 Jelly Bean is not far behind sense as far as being resource hungry. Once you install a few apps,it turns into crap like sense. So for me its 4.1.2 or best case scenario a working cm9 ics or lower. Which we do not have that is bug free that is.
CM9 for me.Though it is buggy, i find the audio more clear and less distorted, but the graphic glitches in kangbang are just killing it.If I had to go for JB slimbean it is.
I had good experience using Sense (with the latest update!): the battery lasts longer than with CM10.1, the sound of Beats Audio with my Philips Headphone is very good and the User Interface is well-thought.
But the Interface has more lags than 4.1.2, and Google Now will never work on it.
So both Systems has pros and cons.

Do you think it'd be possible to fix the bugs in cm9? Cuz I would LOVE to have a fully working cm9 it would be amazing!! I am willing to help in any way possible, keeping in mind that I'm in school and busy a lot... oh and I've tried building cm9 based on the tutorial simon put up but ended up with WAY more bugs than the one that's released even has, so idk where to go from there...
any ideas?

might be possible to take what is already available and just fix the issues it has. we can try. anyone got a download link? ill give it a go. i pretty good at cobbling crap together from sources thats not even one v and slapping it together to work on this beast!!! lol

no prob bro. im having fun with it. and at the moment im in no hurry to move to another device. a lot out there,but nothing that catches my eye so the one v is where its at for me.

this is in the same boat as RoyalMint... MT4G doesnt have the source for 2.3.x sense based kernel... i dont think this will happen..

Well Rafyvitto has a version of sense 3.0 booting up and working with minor issues, so wouldnt that mean he has a kernel capable of maybe being supported with a port of this?

Just ported this. It was my first time porting a ROM, but the ROM kitchen simplified the crap out of everything. Just gotta do small tweaks.

So far, so good. I'm doing some extensive testing before I release it, but so far it's good. But I'm sure there's something in there that will trip up.

I would really consider this necro'ing but I was looking around on the Resource bible, stumbled across this thread doing so and was wondering how this was progressing?
Just getting off work looking at my girls evo which i just freshly put the VirusRom GingerSense Rev on there and wondering if this could get on MY mytouch. Your the man, hope everything goes well with your port. Cant wait.
Can't wait to see this Rom in action. I hope the battery life is excellent with this version of sense 3.0
Just Thought id share. The skyrocket roms work on our phone too. Just flashed the Alien ROM just to see. Everything worked fine, granted there was some att crap in wifi settings that is useless to us, but at least we know we can use their stuff too. I also flashed jugs kernel with the rom as Im sure the kernel is different, but maybe not. Anyway, just wanted to let you know. Oh, they just got an ota to 2.3.6 yesterday, ill post the system dump here in a few. Hopefully the devs will move to that base.
*I thought I'd throw a zip similar to what they have together. I think this zip will do the trick. Give it a shot and let me know if auto rotate is still borked. I dont think it will be but I have CM7 setup and working audio so I dont want to ruin that Let me know and Ill fix issues if there is any.

Haha my buddy has a skyrocket and was so PSYCHED now that they are getting more dev traffic to their forum lol. I know they have been toying with our Roms so nice to know it works both ways

By the way, the Alien ROM for the skyrocket kicks ass on our phone. I flashed it with whatever kernel it comes with and I've noticed a reduction in the stutter.
It does have a an issue with our accelerometer it seems though.

ah, yea i see. it doesnt do that with our kernel. but, when i try to install apps from the market, the phone reboots.

Does this Alien rom have anything special that our rooms don't have? Kind of what to try it out, but not sure if it's worth it. Any other bugs besides the ones stated?

Its the same as what we have. Its in between stock and Juggernaut I'd say. Has reboot options and stuff. Mostly stock. Seems pretty responsive

I tried but its just perfectly reversed.

Will the recent jb releases for phones like the Evo 3D and the other Evo or two help development of a (better) working ROM for the supersonic? I'm on CM9 now but I wouldn't mind CM10!

We have some JB Roms. With the 3D getting the updates, most people think it would help but they're two different phones entirely. Different hardware so the cameras are no use .. maybe some internal files could potentially help.. but who knows. I'll leave it to he Pros.

JMZ's CM10 is stable from what I read, however, the camera/camcorder isn't ready yet so that kills it for me.

If you're waiting on those anytime soon, you might want to unbuckle your seatbelt... The ride is not going to go very fast for the time being... Considering these devs work off ports, shoooottt they get an Oscar from me... :victory:

The camera was what I was hoping for as well. I'm using JMZs CM9 now and I'm loving it. I wish I was talented enough to contribute!

If this was the case I'm sure everyone here would be running JB :cyclops:
Unfortunately each JB ROM will have its quirks. But don't worry, Verizon plans to release an ICS OTA for our device in -5 months. So once that drops we'll be good to go!
CM10 is JellyBean. No JB roms have everything working 100%.

Hmmm allright I like cm10 im running cm9 now but i know i had cm10 running and i couldnt receive mms so i got rid of it

that's pretty easily fixed by editing the apn with the right info. i used dkstunnas build it was pretty bug free no ffc though

+1 ... been running this rom for weeks now. Minus the ffc, I can't really find anything wrong with it. Very stable considering we don't have source.

yeah its pretty good its working great for me now one thing i did notice is it sucks my battery down pretty quickly but o well i can charge it for most of the day

Neither did I until Awidawad and Curtis1973 helped me out. Those guys are great.
Honestly it's quite simple. Just a few files that need to be switched and some build.prop edits to get it to boot. 3G and WiFi are iffy sometimes and random bugs that aren't present in the GSM version aren't a big surprise.

Hmm that sounds easy enough besides the part about fixing bugs and things but I guess I should talk to them about doing my own roms and porting things myself. I like this phone but it has very limited support for development and I want to help out and bring us hov users something new

If you replace the RIL libs and files it can function better. Use another 4.2.2 ROM for ril libraries if you want to test this out (Not sure if it will work.. I haven't actually tested it)

^^^ This guy too. He's helped me quite a bit but the RIL libs aren't really necessary I believe. Connections speeds are the same. MMS fix has to do with the APNs so it's pretty easy to fix.
