[Q] Sixaxis help. - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hi guys,
I have Sixaxis and it works fine in-game, but what I want know is if it's possible to bind the menu touch buttons to a button on the controller. For example in Dead Trigger I can open the menu with the pause button, but I can't close the menu without touching the screen. It's the same with Shadowgun: Deadzone, at the end of the round no button press will exit that game so I have to use the touchscreen.
If you look at the photo it's the menu buttons at the bottom that I mean. In no game does the controller interact with the menu buttons.

Button assignment

Howdy, i am looking for a way to add more button assignments in the list, currently i only have the call button, when held down it rotates screen, doesnt seem to be a method to add more thinghs, like hold down back key, home key and volume keys?
(end key brings up some menu for putting phone in plane mode etc (not really useful as can do that in comms manager / turn off phone on a plane. so changing that to a better assigment would also be neat cheers.
hello all.
using this post:
is it possible to assign other functions to the button off volume control?
for example: scrool up/down?
There are many programs out there that address this. Search for button mapper, assign button, remap, etc.
Some obvious ones are AEButton Plus, MobileMagic...

[Q] Bluetooth Mouse - Controls?

Is there any way to access the android/app menu button when using a mouse. Left click=select, right click=back, middle click=home. If I have a keyboard attached then the menu can be accessed by pressing the Ctrl and Esc key at the same time, but I can't work out how to access the menu just using the mouse.
Thanks for any help

Ouya Dead Trigger HowTo Setup 2

There are lots of install instructions for Dead Trigger such as:
http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?4069-Dead-Trigger-on-OUYA-(How-to-install)
And more detailed:
http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?4107-Sideloading-Dead-Trigger-A-tutorial/
But they miss a couple of important points that took me almost an hour to figure out.
First, the game jumps right into the tutorial mission one and never gives you a chance to configure the game controller. I found two ways to pause the game and open the configuration menu for the game pad.
One, simply plug in a USB keyboard into your Ouya and press the Esc key. I also saw notes that a PS3 remote would do the job but I don't own one of these.
Two, while the game is running put the Ouya into sleep mode by pressing the power button on top of the Ouya once (*not* a long press.) When you wake your Ouya Dead Trigger will be at the pause menu and you can select setup with the touch pad.
The next problem was assigning buttons in the configure game pad screen. This took me forever to figure out. When assigning buttons, hold down the button you want to assign, move the mouse pointer over the assignment square and click (tap the touchpad.) Hold down the button you want the entire time. Don't forget to make use of the two axis buttons on the two joysticks.

Yes I'm late to the party but your explanation of button mapping saved me pulling out my hair!
Will the app save your place and settings without being able to connect to the server? Mine will not connect

Application to change the keys of the remote control.

I am looking for an application to change the remote control keys - the button mapper is wrong.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.homebutton
After all, I wrote that the button mapper is wrong.
Why, homie?
1) Locks things louder and softer by holding down the volume buttons. Jump one position only.
2) In the smart menu, pressing the ok button expands the menu. It works like holding down for approx.
Yeah I've noticed that one to about 1) when I was using it. I've tested all of those app and only this one was working.

Mupen64Plus N64 Controller Start button mapped to "home" button

Hi,
I bought some generic usb N64 controllers for my nvidia shield using MupenPlus64.
The problem I have is the "S" or "Start" button is mapped to my home button for the Nvidia shield.
I have tried unmapping but its not really a proper solution, and it didnt work the nvidia controllers didnt do anything when the home button was hit, but the "Start" button
on the N64 Controllers still returns home, so not sure how its mapped or what its actually mapped to.
All the other buttons work fine, but I obviously need the start button. Is it possible to create two buttons(say A&B) pressed together - long press) to map to the "Start"
button of the controller? I have tried this though and everytime I use an already existing button that is mapped it removes it from the previously mapped button even when
its used in combination with another one for "Start".
Thanks
Paul
