Hello everyone. I want to install a kernel in Android Stock 4.3 and I'm looking for the best. I want a kernel with good battery life, good performance and stable.
Which one do you recommend me to install?
Wrong section.....
Without that for me the best is fancy
depuis mon pHoNe
Sorry. I thought I could post it here...
Thanks for the answer, and... Seraz007 I cannot find the kernel you mentioned xD
Enviado desde mi Galaxy Nexus usando Tapatalk 4
There are many awesome kernels out there. Best way is to try for yourself, thought I'm currently using Golden kernel for 4.3 and am loving it (link below for your convenience)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2385236
I know the best thing is trying myself but the fact is that I don't wanna be changing everyday the kernel. I want it to stay fresh (ROM)
The main reason I want to change the kernel is because I have some problems with 4.3. For example, when using Chrome, sometimes when I go back to the Launcher is is resetting. Just like a Force Close. And it happens with some other apps too. I have reinstalled 4.3 using GNexus Toolkit but it keeps happening. So I don't want to change a lot of times the kernel so that the phone doesn't get affected.

Sorry. I thought this was the right place to start a talk about kernels (related to development)... Thanks anyway and please any mod move this to the right forum
Enviado desde mi Galaxy Nexus usando Tapatalk 4
Try them. It's simple.. If you don't get the results you like.. Wipe cache and dalvik and flash another one..

I think I'll try fancy kernel. The battery must be 100%?
Enviado desde mi Galaxy Nexus usando Tapatalk 4
THERE IS NO BEST KERNEL. Each developer is dedicated to his own kernel. It would be incorrect to call one better than the other.
You should just try them all for a few days.
Kernels arent that hard to flash and set up. It wipes nothing. So why don't try them?

If you have to ask for "the best" kernel in this section then better you have to stick to stock roms and stock kernel.
Mods please delete or move to q&a section
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Please sorry if I bothered you I just wanted to know before trying. And I have to change the kernel because stock 4.3 kernel doesn't work well for me. I get resets in Launcher when using an app ( eg Chrome)
Enviado desde mi Galaxy Nexus usando Tapatalk 4
On 4.3 (paranoid Android) I have tried 3 kernels so far. Franco, fancy and golden. What I like the best so far was golden kernel. And I am always using stock settings.

Dont let the XDA members discourage you for posting in the wrong place its no big deal..Just try a few and see wich works best for your setup and the way you use your device..

Just make a nandroid backup of your stock ROM and try as many as you want. That's what I did with my Sprint GNex a few weekends ago since I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for. You can always restore back to stock should you not like a ROM for any reason.
I decided on AOKP b37 and Franco Milestone 3 (now running Milestone 4)--this setup has been flawless for me with no crashes or hangs at all. In addition to my stock nandroid backup I also have four backups of other ROMs as well, should I want to try out the different functionality each one offers.
Rascream and liquid smooth are probably the two best roms.
Rascream doesn't have many options but is built from aosp and is the fastest rom out there and liquid has more options and is pretty smooth.
Thanks guys

seriously buddy... you are begging for a flame war. If you didn't make it then it doesn't belong to development...
And besides that, your question is way too generic as it completely depends on your preferences. There is no best ROM.
Asylum rom is excellent in term of battery life + performance .. but its CM10.1 rom ... not normal samsung touchwiz rom .. so you miss some samsung features as a result.. and you will get many new features as well
In general, any light roms (100-400 mbs... not 1GB size roms) would go easy on battery
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
There is no "best" ROM since we all have different requirements. The "best" ROM is determined by you after trying a lot of them out.

here's your answer cause you're too lazy and cant comprehend your own question.
NO
Sense is a proprietary build for HTC hardware. HTC doesn't make the source code available either, so porting onto hardware that Sense wasn't built for is a massive PITA. Most devs don't want to horse around with a patched, partially functional launcher when there are other, more popular options available. The widgets are designed specifically for the Sense environment.
And, this is just a suggestion, get a thicker skin here on XDA. A bad attitude isn't going to get you anything but headaches. Ignore the responses that aren't helpful and say thank you to the ones that are.

Is anyone still interested in these ROMs? Maybe I can start working again with some new stuff if for a good response. :good:

I am interested in 2.3.6 ROMs. I have been searching a lot for 2.3.6 ROMs but i didn't found.... If you will develop some ROMs... it will be good
I think many of us would like a firmware that is fast, responsive, fully working, no bugs and good battery life.
I honestly say I don't care what kind of android, windows, linux or any other name this software would be called or what version it would be. I would want it very much and will thank the creator each chance I had.
I wish you luck and if your rom will be like what I described above then I will be one of many people who will use it.
Tour are wrong. Even stock GB is faster than 4.x ROMS. I will be pleased to have GB AOSP.
I don't understand people who love newer versions of Android OS because on Ace 2 they are still slower than stock GB, sorry ;p

Hey, CM10.1 is quite fast and so probably is the new fixed 10.2...
of course they don't have Google Maps with a real offline mode!
I'd really like to see a Gingerbread ROM with 626MB RAM, for sure... too bad I bought an Xperia U 4 hours ago, heh

Depends on how you use yours. CM 10.1 (+ Operation Killjoy scripts) is fast and responsive on my Ace 2.
Though, it would be nice to see a CM 7 build or other CM 7 based Custom ROMs for the Ace 2.
CM7 will be interesting to see.
