I have my One X, which I need to send into repair, so I need to revert the ROM into stock and whatever is required.

I tried with this RUU: RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.12_Radio_2.1204.127.19_release_271851_signed.exe but it failed with an error 140, which I can't seem to get past...
Any guidance would be appreciated. Sorry for the other thread, I will keep it open for when I receive it back.

Something I had in mind:
Get a newer ICS (or whatever they're called) and try? I haven't been able to find the newer one.

[Q] Return to stock ROM International One X

Dear all
I have been advised on this site that given the problems with my HTC One x (the SD card sometimes not being readable and not being able to upgrade to HBOOT 1.72) that i need to return to the stock ROM
I have downloaded RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Ra dio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe but was also advised to edit android-info.txt to 3.14.401.620
The question is how (and why) do i need to edit android-info.txt to 3.14.401.620 when all i have is the RUU executable?
FYI current phone info is

Another WiFi issue - cannot turn on after upgrade

Hi,
I've decided to upgrade my Rom from a very old insert coin to either a new one or skydragon..
After flashing the ROM I can't turn on wifi, I searched around and found this to be a firmware problem and so have tried upgrading that (a few times).
Nothing I have attempted is working, kernals I've tried installing include the custom skydragon one, and fw_3.28.401.9_custom_without_red_text.
I can connect/flash via fastboot or recovery, the fastboot vars were
(bootloader) version: 0.5

(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: c3d94491

But are these now (note S-OFF & SuperCID):
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 3.19.0.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.22.21331147A1.29G

Does anyone know what I need to do now, if it's another kernal to try could you link it and let me know which method to use.
Thanks.
Solved my own issue after all this.
If anyone else finds this stuck I ended up flashing fw_4.16.1540.8_custom_without_red_text.zip from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...cc33d3e2ce69222a46eb22102164d648cd4e99500ab86
via the method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/vomerguides-m8-bootldr-unlock-s-off-t2800727
I guess it's a little pot luck which firmware you try first?
