Well, as the title says, I only get it push notifications from things like snapchat and Facebook, gmail, etc while on WiFi.
Definetely not a network problem as I always have full bars and it was working fine last week.
I think I might have changed a setting somewhere. But I'm unable to find it.
Open to any suggestions!
are u running stock rom or a custom rom?
i noticed over the years also on my LG Optimus 2x P990 that running a new rom not all programs worked with notifications, so i needed to wait for an update, and so it is with CM10.2 (Android 4.3) some of my appz don't leave a notification and some crashes totally like CPU-Z.
I am currently running stock ROM, with removed qslide bar.
Open SMS app, go to settings using the menu button, and activate notifications. Should work

Hopefully this is the correct section to post this.
I'm running Facebook for Android 1.5.0 on my Desire HD (pre-installed, running the stock ROM), and when I enter the app, it updates right away and just fine, no probs at all.
But when I use the widget, the status updates don't update. It does however update how long ago the status updates that are displayed, were posted.
If I clear data and force close the app and then set it up again (I have set it to NOT sync my contacts, as Facebook for Sense is already doing this), it updates fine, sometimes for a couple of hours, sometimes more, then it stops updating again and I can start all over.
Any idea what's going on with this? Anybody else experiencing the same?

Yeah, same problem here. Doesn't bug me much, but that's me.
I just cant seem to get notifications from Plus working on my device. I'll receive an E-mail saying I got a new notification I have to open the app, go to notifications and click refresh in order to see it...
I'm running GummyNex 0.6.6.
I had that problem. Wiped data for Google+ and let it resync everything and now it's fine.

I tried searching other forums but they were mostly on other non-AOSP roms. I don't receive notification for the stock messaging app. I can receive notifications for other SMS apps (GoSMS and Handcent) but not the stock. I've tried clearing the messaging app cache. Rebooting but still nothing. Notifications ARE enabled for the status bar on settings. Any suggestions? I don't want to reflash unless I have to.
EDIT: Re-flashed without restoring system app data seems to have worked.

Open messaging, hit menu then settings, scroll down and enable quickmessage and wake upon receive. And if your talking about the notification icon for received messages in the status bar, I've never seen that issue on any aosp jb ROM..

It might've just been a bad flash or something I restored it titanium backup because I did a complete wipe again and this time it worked fine.
Hey guys.
I rooted and installed deodexed rooted stock rom (4.4.2). I flashed two files, Freeza's to turn on CRT animations and one to enable custom boot animations. I manually debloated the phone but don't think I would have deleted anything related to the Email app.
Since then, if I clear the notifications, Email force closes. If I click to open the Email app and there's a notification pending, it force closes. Once the notification is cleared and the app force closed, I can open it just fine. Same if I don't have any notifications and just try to open the app. Works fine.
Any idea why this is happening? I thought I'd go back to K-9 Mail but man I've gotten too used to push notifications and the Email app's interface, so i'd like to get that working again.

Freeze it? I totally deleted the hell out of all that magazine crap. I don't use it. Why would that have anything to do with Email?
I restored Lounge, Magazines and MagazinesHome and problem went away. Thanks! :good:
Somehow my magazine links to the email apps. Don't know how, don't know why. Stupid, I know.

I have rooted 4.6.1 with nova launcher. I have tried both amazon store messenger and play store version. When I say no notifications I mean nome. Not eve if I had the app open and switched to my home screen but kept phone on. I have xposed but disabled most modules.
I really need this to work. I have checked app settings, manage notifications, and notification listemers and I don't know what else to try. I can't reset the phone. It took me a dozen hours just to ge.t everything setup.
Edit. I am not sure if any notifications are working right now. Got a text and only after profreminder app sent a reminder beep did I even know.
Edit 2. Outlook works. Attempting to try others.
Ideas welcome.
Hey sorry to do this, but wanted some new visibility from people who may have read the OP. If your notifications are working, could you let me know which if any apps you have disabled, if you are rooted, that sort of thing?

I was bothered by that issue and never got it working. Curiously though, the notification works only when you happen to be in the Settings section of the Facebook Messenger app.
I've changed FireOS for CM11. I don't regret it. Every push notification works as it should.
