Hi i'm brand new to flashing roms so please bear with me..
So i flashed cyanogen mod 10.2 onto my rogers galaxy s3 a couple days ago everything works fine except for the WIFI, it refuses to connect to my home wifi but it will connect to public WIFIs (like starbucks and mcdonalds free wifi)
I've been on the forums for the past few days trying to find a fix... i tried reflashing the rom but that didnt work
Please help i have no idea what to do
Have you tried resetting the router?

hi guys.
I have got a new wifi connection installed at my home...i was on Omega Rom when i first faced this problem.As soon as i got my connection installed,i tried connecting my Note 2 N7100 to the network, it connected but the surfing was slow as if like no connection whereas all my other devices like laptop, Ipad and my bros. I phone is working smoothly on the same network.
I tried surfing on my office wifi network and it worked flawlessly.
Frist i thought that may be its some kind of bug which is their in the ROM so i switch to Alliance Rom V3 .....i did factory reset..wipe cache and dalvich cache and sadly still having the same problem.
Any ideas...?

try Android tweaker from playstore then just increase wifi,edge,3g,h+.
Should work abit

:crying: nup not working for me...
I have tried everything now and still no clue whats the problem...
have done swicthing Roms from Omega to ALliance
done flashing kernel
done flashing modem
even tried unrooting and now iam on original stock ROM......and NUP no luck.
Any ideas ?
is it possible that my phone ip is same or conflicting with my reuter ip ?
if so, then would be needing help from u guys..

Ok got it tp worl again by going back to stock rom and updating the firmware to the latest version.

I've been searching all day long but I don't see any solution!
I used stock firmware from samsung on my S3 and everything worked.
Then I changed to slimdevices which I also have on my S1. But I can't connect to my wifi.
I searches and finds all wifi routers here but it won't connect to it.
I wiped everything before the upgrade and installed slimrom now 3 times. I even opened my wifi so that no password is needed but it still won't connect!
Can anybody help me?

HELP! I have tried manny methods and fixes, but for some reason I cannot get my WiFi Tether to work!
The log shows, everything has passed, and it should be started. I do see the Download and Upload meters at the bottom, however it will not broadcast an SSID for my devices to see!!
I have tried manny settings on it, but in the past the ones that worked were
Generic ICS/JB (wlan1)
Netd(master)
WiFi Reload 2
But so far nothing is working. I have downgraded SuperSU, Downgraded the wifi app itself, tried diffrent versions nothing seems to work!!
Hell even the native tether on the ROM itself is bugging out. First time It connected, but the data would start freaing out, closing connects etc when a device was trying to use it. Now as soon as the tether enables it dissables itself. There is another wifi tether mod that came with the app, but I refuse to pay $15 for more than 5 min of ussage per day. I think that is just dumb.

I really dont want to flash a diffrent rom. This is the FIRST one I have actually got it to work this far past a stock rom. For some reason every 4.4 ROM I tried, the modem does not work. I tried new modem drivers but still nothing. All other JB Rom's I have tried 4.1 - 4.3 each have diffrent issues for some reason. So I need to stick to this if at all cost. If you guys can reccomend a very good stable rom I might try it but I need WiFi on my devices! Help ! THanks

About one month ago i began installing Custom Roms on my phone, when I installed Bliss i had my first exam so I went to university. I tried to connect to the eduroam wifi but it wasn't able to get a connection. It always said: Connectin.... and then Saved. So for the next exam yesterday i reinstalled the Stock rom from robalm's thread and the same thing happened. The wifi is protected with PEAP and MS-CHAP-V2, you also need Telekom Root CA 2 (included since Android 4). I tried several combinations of Authentification methods but nothing works. It works for my friends, and it works on my Windows laptop as well.
It doesn't seem to be a question for a rom thread, because I have the problem with any rom, even Stock.

I am having problems with my wifi connection after flashing a custom rom. A few months ago I tried to flash lineage OS on the XT1685. This went wrong and the Phone was bricked. Last week I gave it a go once more and was able to flash back a stock rom from Motorola but something weird was going on. I couldn't get a WIFI connection ( no wifi signals in search wifi networks) and MAC-adress was shown as 02:00:00:00:00
I tried a whole bunch of possible solutions but none of them solved the issue. For example I tried to flash the WIFI-Fix, Tried emptying persist/wifi/.macaddr but there was nothing in it. How am I going tho get back my MAC adress! If the original MAC cant't be found is it possible to add another one? Maybe from an other phone or something?
Please help! I am stuck in this situation. Without WIFI the phone is pretty much useless.
