Would anyone be able to post flashable modem files (either CWM zips or Odin) from the leaked 4.2.2 and Russian official 4.2.2? I know the leaked 4.2.2 included a separate modem file, but I already deleted them and don't want to download the entire leaked version again just for the modem.
I'm asking because mobile data performance hasn't been great when using the official 4.2.2 Russian firmware, and I want to see if the problem is modem-related or if the cell networks here are just being crappy lately.
If anyone could post the leaked 4.2.2 modem I'd really appreciate it. The 4.2.2 Russian modem would be good to have as well, so that I could flash back to it if the leaked version isn't any better.

I have an s3 running 4.0.4 that I am going to update sans TWRP and AOKP and just want to make sure I dont have to ODIN a stock 4.1.2 tar before installing TWRP and a custom ROM on a new android version.

That's really not needed, but you still need to update your firmware/bootloader before installing a 4.2.2 AOSP ROM. If you read the CM10.1 thread, it was discovered that older (ICS) bootloaders do not play nice with JB 4.2 AOSP and will cause random reboots. CM10.1 (don't know about others) also won't install unless you're on a compatible bootloader.
To get the latest bootloader/firmware, you need to:
a) Odin to the latest AT&T JellyBean package
or
b) Download the I747 firmware package from here http://invisiblek.org/sgh-i747/ and flash it in recovery.
lol which part was uneeded thanks that is the EXACT answer i was looking for. i did find the smaller bootloader update package so i didnt have to install the full firmware..............and now i realize thats exactly what you linked to as well LMFAO sorry but thanks!!
I haven't seen a 4.3 ROM for maguro like in previous releases, that is stock besides rooting, deodexing and zipaligning based on JSS15J, i saw one from an italian guy based on the older 4.3 release.
Does someone know of a rom that contains what i described above?
Hello I have a couple questions about my T999L I am running a stock deodexed rom but the baseband and the build #s don't match baseband is MK4 and build MK7 is this a problem ? Also I am on version 4.1.2 I would like to get up to a custom 4.3 Rom what ones can I use? I had to come back to this because my wifi wouldn't work? thank for any help.
Its quiet possible that you had different Modem than your Rom. No issues. It sounds like you got this phone from someone else. They may not have flashed insecure kernel. That's the reason for Wi-Fi Not Working.
So long you don't have signal issues, its fine to keep that modem. As to 4.3 Roms, there's plenty to choose from.

Been playing around with some of the newer ROMs built on stock TW 4.4.2 (notably Fennys and Vision X) and have found stability problems or missing (debloat) features with both.
Trying to figure out where the FULL FIRMWARE stock 4.4.2 firmware is available for download, if available. I found this link but I'm not sure whether to trust the site...and the hosting service via RapidGator is very slow (13 hours and counting).
I'll use autoroot after I've updated my device to regain root. I'm already on the baseband modem for NB4.

I'm looking for a .zip file to add a ROM to MultiBoot. I think I need 4.1.2 since that's the last official firmware update I took (been using CM ever since, and I reverted back to stock when I was on CM 10.2 and I prefer 4.1.2).
So is there a rooted 4.1.2 zip I can flash as a new ROM through multiboot? I don't care if it's odexed or deodexed or debloated I just want the multi window/ wifi calling/ etc.
