I'm using PAC-man rom 4.3 and I tried installing the 4.3 nexus 4 camera apk, but when I tried I got the error "application cannot be installed". Does anyone know how to fix this?

I recently began to encounter an error when attempting to install apps from my SD card while using programs such as root exporer or android home. I get this error when attempting to install any non market .apk using any file management program. I have no problem installing apps from the market. The error reads-
"Parse error
There is a problem parsing the package"
I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge as to how to solve this so I can install non market apps? So far everything I have tried has failed (wiping and reinstalling ROM and also trying different file management programs.
Yeah, I have this error too, and it's really starting to get annoying. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm running CM6 Final with it's stock kernel.
I have also been experiencing this error. i have an HD2 runnning a chuckydroid rom with FroyoStone with HTC Sense V2
I'm getting this error too on my HD2 with Hyperdroid & Enegy Leo rom
From my experience, the parse error only occurs with bad/incomplete downloads.

Have you tried running the fix_permissions script yet? Its included in most ROMs. I would try that along with clearing your cache & dalvik

has anyone tried making an update.zip to see if it will instal that way?
I had that error when it is an unlocker apk or an upgrade version of an app.

guys i just installed a custom rom jellysandwich 6.2 nd after that on opening gallery "unfortunately credential manager service_1_5 has stoped" error is coming...what is the solution for this problem....help needed

This problem appears after update from earlier version of Jelly Sandwich. Don't know what i do wrong, seems to nothing wrong with my use of phone, just ROM is really unstable for everyday use. Unless you want to clear everything before upgrade to new version what is not acceptable for me.
Try another rom.
And dont forget to WIPE ANYTHING and FORMAT SYSTEM before installing new ROM

I did some stupid thing. my android version is 4.1.2 stock. I have tried to install 4.2 gallary app and camera apps. These apps are not installed successfully since they are intended for roorted phones. After restarting the phone the two apps are not working. I am getting the error message "App not installed." Any solutions please.??

Hey guys,
I just flashed my note 2 with the XquiziT N2 V3 Rom (went with custom options during the install) and just realized now that the s note app wasn't installed. I found the s note premium suite and installed that but when opening s note, it would just crash with error "Unfortunately, S Note has stopped". Did I miss installing something else during the flashing of XquiziT? Should I just re-flash with the option of remove bloatware only? Thanks everyone.

just wiped the rom and flash it over again.
I'm having issues installing the 4.3 camera APK. I get this error. I'm on 4.2.2 cm10.1. I also tried it on cm10.2 but got the same issue. Went back to 4.2.2 after some bugs. Please help.

If its just an apk pulled from /system/app then it can't just be installed it needs to be copied to /system/app.
