Hey! I'm not a developer but i hope developers goes in to this thread and try porting TWRP there is a guide here http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...gn=Feed:+xda-developers/ShsH+(xda-developers) but i don't know if this will help. I/we want TWRP on our phone right? There is also a source code for CM7 here.
TWRP is only for MDPI/HDPI screens.
For GT-s5360 CWM would be enough

Hi! I'm quite a noob when it comes to ROM development specifically for my Desire Z, so I'm hoping some people can clarify my doubts, and cure me of my sleepless nights!
Can I just download a distribution from the Android Developers website and use it on my DZ? If not, then how do I compile ROMs then?
Thanks in advanced!
Don't know anything about rom development, but you might want to have a look at this http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Vision:_Compile_CyanogenMod_%28Linux%29
-Nipqer
Thanks for the reply, the link is on how to compile Cyanogen, but it doesn't say how to compile clean build Android for our DZ.

I don't think there can be a true "clean" build of Android -- to get the camera, etc to work there have to be drivers in place.
You can get close, though. Download any "AOSP" (Android Open Source Project) ROM and you have it. You can probably also make Cyanogen into something close to AOSP just by not including the extras CM provides.

Hello, I'm trying to port Xperia x10 mini rom to Wildfire. I've tryied to port this rom before but I had problem with rebooting after a while, I hope I've fixed it but for now, my Wildfire is on reclamation (broken speaker, not bricked phone ) so I'm not able to try it.
I've choosed this rom for porting http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1504633 and CM 7.2 RC1 as a base.
Please try it and give me know if it worked, or make a logcat. Thanks
Every help with porting will be welcome.
EDIT: Someone told me that rom doesn't even install, I've fixed that but its still rebooting after boot (he said) and he is not able to make a logcat, I'm uploading it now, so please, someone make a logcat
Booting (but still rebooting) version link: http://www.mediafire.com/?k82z19yk6dzhapo
Why don't you post this on the development section? You'll actually get many more replies than here
Yes I know, but I don't want to mess dev section with rom which is - for now - completely useless and I even don't know if it will be fully functional in future.

I'm trying to port cannibal touch recovery 2.1 on to my samsung galaxy s2 4g sph-d710vmub can anyone help shed some light on this for me
The recovery is packed in the kernel, you can't just "port" a recovery on this device. You'd need to repack a kernel with a compatible recovery and it would change recoveries anytime you changed kernels/roms w/kernel.
I like to break stuff!
If you're looking on how to do kernel work for this phone, check out the community kernel thread in the dev section.
i am trying to port this Slimkat rom from moto G but no success. I am just learning to port so help will be appreciated.
I am using mokee as base rom. After i boot, it shows mi logo and then stucked at slimkat logo.
I tried changing Bootclasspath but it directly goes to fastboot. Any change in boot.img is directly taking me to fastboot. Please help me to learn porting.
If anyone had ported any rom then please tell me what base rom you used and link for port rom.
Thanks in advance
SlimKat doesn't support msim, so it will be hard to get RIL working!
Many of members here asking for porting help..there you can ask your question instead of posting new thread...anyways take cynogen ROM as base then try...but next time try to search before posting thread... keep xda clean..
With the kernel source released the days of porting are over guys. There is no longer a need for ports. Just use the source available to used things from source. There will be alot of work that needs to be done but I'm sure you guys can handle it.
Q&A for [SM-T110] Kernel sources + TWRP (no bootloop on recovery)
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [SM-T110] Kernel sources + TWRP (no bootloop on recovery). If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.

Hi There, a few health insurance company have been gifting the Galaxy Tab 3 lite SM-T110 to their new customers the last months, which means many people will be using this device. I am one of them and I'd like to install latest Android Lollipop 5 in this device. Is there any chance to do this and how I should go about it? Thank you for any guidance.

I don't know, I'm trying to port CM10.2 because there is no code (or blobs) beyond Jelly Bean. The first thing needed is a good device tree
How do I install it?
Cyanogenmod is not ready for sm-t110. I try to port it this weekend.
Yea been waiting..
