I have the same problem with my g-sensor so I tried this way and it always work with my HOX , as long as you have a car charger
-the idea is to overheat your HOX , keeping at active all the time
-You need your battery to be around 50% not more than that , as you need to give it a chance to charge
-I open my data connection + map + navigation + screen on brightest available and on all the time + and connect it to car charger
the phone will heat up fast within 5 minutes
-once you feel your device is hot enough do a restart (fast boot way works for me )
-once your device is on back try to run your camera to see if your g-sensor is back
-and once its back dont turn your device off or restart it as the g-sensor will go back offline and that including flashing a new ROM
-I have use g-sensor debug from play store to check my g-sensor all the time , once you turn it on it will recognize it as Panasonic 3-axis Acceleration sensor with numbers running up and down , but if the g-sensor is off ill will show nothing

Have the same issue, Camera does't work in Sense 5, related to broken gyroscope. Mine's MPL Invensense sensor, went kaput few weeks back. Now it isn't coming back online, no matter what I do.
It's damn shame, we can't use Camera in Sense 5, unless someone modifies the kernel to make it work for broken gyroscope users. Using CM10.2 as of now.

i don't understand

Just a thought
Do you have a microSD card installed?
If so try running the camera without the card inserted and see what happens.
Maybe a messed up memory card could cause this problem

I´ve got the same problem. The camera is not starting.
But with my i780 the problem are the gpstools "gpsgate" or "portsplitter".
If they are started the camera can not start, if deaktivated the camera
works fine. I have no idea why this happens. Different setups in the
gpstool´s have no result.
b.u.m.p any more ideas?
my camera stopped working after tMan was installed.
Also - once you have a reminder for the alarm
I managed to make the camera working. Problem is same as the first post. Here's my analysis, the camera have some internal battery that needs to be charged, so if you're using the separate charger, the internal battery will not be charged, it will be fully drained and it cannot wake the camera. Therefore you will need to charge the unit directly from a wall charger, not in PC USB since the power from USB is not enough to charge the internal battery. At first stage, the camera was able to turn on but very poor visibility. After some couple of days, the camera is now fully functional. Hope this help.

[TUT] Turning back you G-Sensor on for Sense 5

A lot of people is complaining out there of their broken g-sensor and possibly other sensors included , as the sense 5 camera being off all the time as it a lot dependable on it , but there have been found couple of ways to get sensors back on and it mostly work all the time , so until some will provide a camera mod people may use this mod for reviving the g-sensor back
SO HERE ARE 3 WAYS and keep cautious as these methods may harm your device
METHOD 1
-the idea is to overheat your HOX , keeping at active all the time till we get it on
-You need your battery to be around 50% not more than that , as you need to give it a chance to charge
-I open my data connection + map + navigation + screen on brightest available and on all the time + and connect it to car charger (it worked once without being connecte to charger ) the phone will heat up fast within 5 minutes ( Keep my phone connected to charger all through the process )
-once you feel your device is hot enough do a restart (fast boot way works for me )
-once your device is on back try to run your camera to see if your g-sensor is back
-and once its back , dont turn your device off or restart it as the g-sensor will go back offline and that including flashing a new ROM
-I have used g-sensor debug APP from play store to check my g-sensor all the time , once you turn it on it will recognize it as Panasonic 3-axis Acceleration sensor with numbers running up and down , but if the g-sensor is off ill will show nothing
METHOD 2
A help from a friend here used this way as he used StabilityTest app from the Play Store.
-Run “Scaling Stability Test (Root)”,
-leave it running whilst doing other things.
- After little while temperature will reach above 50°,
- restart the phone and then sensor should start working
-and again dont retart your device or turn it off as your sensor will go off again
METHOD 3
1. put on your phone around 20 songs in a format that is not supported ( .FLAC . AAC etc.)
2. make a playlist of these songs and try playing them. (this will hopefully crash your phone, if not, open some memory consuming apps as well)
3. after the crash start your phone with working sensors
METHOD 4
some people has reported that going into bootloader and flash boot.img and clear cache after that would somehow initiate sensors on reboot
!!DISCLAIMER!!
Please note that I tried this only several times on my device. THIS MAY RUIN YOUR PHONE
there is a big chance that your sensor will not start working from the first try but eventually it will
Special Thanks to @ATZ-007 for his 2nd way
Special Thanks to @getsomefood for his 3rd way
Update 9/22/2013
HTC has releases a new camera APK that can work without g-sensor being online here it is http://d-h.st/PUd , but this wouldnt turn your g-sensor back but at least this ill restore functionality of our lovely HOX back
special thanks to @virgolib

I'm not sure what kind of defect with every g-sensor out there at HOX but it seems symptoms do vary at each device , this method does the work all the time for me and also I had to repeat this process couple of times , the strange thing at my device that this g-sensor is till functioning great for the last week with no glitches , on other pages some guys recommended using g-sensor calibration at safe mode after disabling fastboot from power settings
Umm interesting how heat is helping in this situation. I would of thought it would of been related to a kernel problem as most had no issues before updating.
Has anyone tried trips kernel, see of the issue is still on there?

use data connection like HSPA +charging battery +using GPS + place screen on High brightness for sure wll increase device's Temperature a lot
( charging and discharging at the same time will increase battery's Temp a lot )
Just saying.....if (over)heating helps to fix a problem ...it's definitely a hardware problem.
Get warranty....
Well i will try it, but i need to over heat it to max so it restart automatically? I think at 80 C it restarts auto, btw Hofs, no warranty, and i think if i go to repair with it only way how they can repair it replace full main board.. And i dont think so it will be cheap thing I am not care about this but i am care about fix camera, on sense 4 it was working, i need just somebody to remove this gyro mode to get it work..

M8S Problems

Hi guys
I got an HTC M8s less than 2 months now and it has so many issues it's driving me insane at this stage....
It's on stock ROM unrooted with all the latest updates.
First issue that came up was not recognising the headphones after i plugged them in, that eventually went away after lots of searching and fiddling with settings etc.
Then it started going into Car mode while it was resting on the table, no input on my end no triggers set for it, hell i don't even own a car to use this function....
I disabled HTC car and that stopped.
The included micro usb cable somehow went bad, tried it on other devices, it will not charge....
Now i'm having some weird charging behaviour, it drops out of charging and resumes or sometimes it just stops charging (that doesn't happen when the phone is charging while being switched off, so i'm guessing it's not a hardware issue)
Another massive problem is that all incoming/outgoing calls go to the speaker which almost burst my ear drum first time that happened.
I have looked in every single forum out there and have tried all possible solutions, ranging from disabling google Chrome to trying every available speaker management/toggle related program on the play store but nothing seems to be working.
Some times if i plug in the headphones, make a call and then unplug them, then it works as it should for a little while. But later on it reverts to the previous mentioned behaviour.
One thing i have noticed, before it routes calls to the speaker, the screen will light up, no notifications come up and then all calls go to the speaker.
I used Wakelock to try and find out which program triggers the screen wake in order to remove it and maybe solve this issue but nothing came up.
Any input would be greatly appreciated as i am at the end of my rope with this device....
I still have my HTC DHD A9191 and i never had any issues with that phone, i'm very dissappointed with HTC :/
Thanks in advance
Yanni
Less then 2 months......return it ! Not even sure what you want to achieve here besides messing up warranty ?
I am using Spign slim armor case on m8s and after using it my power button isn't working.
and I have a Motion Launch problem when phone is on my pocket it opens camera, calls someone because of the sensor.Any fix about that?

ok man
look i have htc one m8 + one m7+one max
the one m7 had the same problem of u
i will give to you one solution for try
i try it on the one m7 and its work
but on one max not work
on m8 not test yet
try this:
1. Turn phone OFF
2. Let charge for AT LEAST 10mins even if it doesn't look like it's charging.
3. Press and hold POWER + VOL UP + VOL DOWN for AT LEAST 2mins. Anything less will not reset the charge mode.
4. After 2mins release the buttons and the phone should boot as normal
if it not charge at the first time then try it again andd u will be OK
Hi Hazem
Thanks for the input, i'll give this a go when i get back home and let you know if it works out.
Should i try this when the phone is at 4-5% ? And then let it charge all the way ?
I'm experiencing these same issues as well after rooting my M8. Hopefully someone here knows what the issue is.
Well for me all issues remain unresolved.
My guess so far for the culprit seems to be the magnetic sensor, either badly programmed or a factory defect.

u must charge ur phone
turn off the phone
let him charge to full about 3 hours
and try the method
it will work
i test it on 2 one m7 phones
let me know if that work
thx
Sorry Hazeem I understand that English isn't your first language, and you are trying to help but you are not making much sence....
You are basically telling me to charge my phone, then switch it off and charge it again even though it's already charged for another 3 hours....
Ok an update !
HTC Released a service pack along with an update for the car application, after installing these and a couple of reboots the charging problems stopped and the phone doesn't seem to be waking up without any reason, as it did before.
The calls getting routed to the speaker still remain but thanks to an app called Auto Speaker, I've managed to work around this issue. Before the updates this application had no effect, but now it works as it should by turning off the speaker when the proximity sensor is blocked.
I hope I am not celebrating too soon on this and I'll keep this post updated if anything else, related to these issues, happens.
Update 2
So far so good and with another unexpected benefit, I removed my phone from the charger Saturday morning around 11 and as of now Monday 7:30 it's at 27% !

[Fixed]Sensors not working on t2 ultra dual d5322

LOST ALL SENSORS
My t2 ultra has some issues with the sensors...
All of sensors are suddenly stops.
What should I. Do.?
Sensor including
1. Accelerometer
2. Lighr sensor
3. Gravity sensor
4. Proximity sensor...
5. Compass
.
.
.
Make sure battery is detached first.
Fixed by heating mainboard for several minutes by hot gun (periodically... Not continously).
After reattach Battery.. Perform repair it by Xperia Companion. (connect switched off only by Flashmode.. By pressing volume down key while attaching Usb to Computer)
(instead by flash FTF by Flashing)
it might be a hardware problem.
full charge your device, atleast more than 51%.
press and hold power & volume up until it vibrates 3 times, it might take quite a bit of time for it to restart.
when restart, check if working now.
if still not working,
try in safe mode.
to boot in safe mode :
1. press & hold the device Power button
2. power off options will appear.
3. on touch screen, hold power off until, reboot to safe mode dialogue appears, then click OK.
4. if working, then some 3rd party app or something is causing trouble.
5. To exit safe mode, turn your device off and on again. thats all!
#
if still not working,
flash ROM,
#
if still not working,
then take your phone to a Sony repair center.
Try to flash stock fresh rom..by flastool. I hope this will solve this problem

Flashlight not working

Anyone experienced this? I've bought this phone off hands and it's been working fine and dandy, now the flashlight won't turn on. It doesn't work when I take pictures with flash mode set to "on", and it doesn't work in safe mode either.
Edit: I switched the phone off and pulled the battery out. Left it this way for a minute or so, then it started working again. Looks like it's an overheating issue, the phone was charging when I've noticed the flash is dead. I've let the phone cool down (actually put a glass of cold tap water on the camera bump), and it's working fine now. I guess if I plug in a charger or start playing something demanding it'll play dead again.
